- A little note just cause I get SO many comments asking why certain scenes aren't included. This series of videos isn't every single Jacey scene. It's just clips that more or less fit the screwball comedy aesthetic. Some screwball comedies I would suggest ya'll watch are Bringing Up Baby and The Philadelphia Story. Pacey and Joey have been compared a lot to Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn. A great more recent screwball comedy is "What's Up Doc" it's lowkey a remake of Bringing Up Baby from 1972. If you're averse to black and white movies and want to ease into it then What's Up Doc is a good one to start with

i really dont get why audrey and pacey dated, joey and pacey were super in love and the break up destroy them emotionally. It feels that after the end of their relationship everyone pretended that it didn’t happened at all, it was sad af. Especially after finding out that pacey never fell out of love with jo idk it was weird. And then jo sleeping with dawson?!? cmon guys? pacey had the right to be really angry at dawson! idk just a topic that pisses me off
Watching season 5 and 6 with the mindset that pacey is still in love with her, is bittersweet. Like he tried to move on but never really could.
The last two seasons were written on notes by some drunk college kids. I mean, the showrunners seemed to lose their minds. They wanted us to just forget that Pacey and Joey had one of the greatest TV romances ever. They wanted to insult our intelligence basically
I'm not sure about this information but i heard that during all Jacey romance the creator and main writer of the show wasn't around and then he came back for the later seasons. And his endgame couple was always Dawson and Joey, in his mind Joey and Pacey would have good romantic scenes and all but it was always gonna be Dawson and Joey(which makes me question his writing perceptions, not gonna lie), so maybe that's why they act like they weren't important, cause to him it wasn't but that's hilarious, giving the fact that even Pacey and Joey not being the plan, they were pretty much the best thing that ever happened to this show and the creator hadn't realized they created one of the most beautiful love stories ever. Thank God he realized by the end but i think that's why their writing after season 4 is so chaotic.

The showrunners were completely lost on what to do in these last two seasons. But they knew how to bring Pacey and Joey back together. I just wish the writers didnt forget or ignore the fact that we just saw Pacey and Joey in one of the greatest TV romances ever fall apart in the most painful fight imaginable. Joey had absolutely no moment of reflection. Pacey had no apprehension. Its like their romance never happened.... Until the 6th season.
