    Just recieved cricut maker as a Christmas gift. This video explained so much more then the other videos I watched. So thank you for taking the time to make a video that's very educational for us who are just starting out. I really appreciate it and can't wait to see more videos.

      No problem!! I made this video right after I started out and I'm glad I did because I feel I would have DEFINITELY left something out because its just habit for me to do something and someone new wouldn't have known to do a specific thing! Good luck crafting!! The maker is so much fun!!

      @@TrickiNikki2 you can do it!! One step at a time!! If need be come back to this video for a reference! I have another video on this that I think is a little more in depth but I did not think it was that great of a video so I haven't uploaded it. And its a completely different technique too. Just keep positive thoughts and you can do it!

    This info is a life saver, thank you! What is the difference between a plain SVG & inkscape SVG?

    • @randiecanterbury385
      @randiecanterbury385  3 года назад +1

      If you save it as an Inkscape svg then design space won't recognize it as an svg file. I'm unsure if the silhouette machines will but I know for sure that cricut software will not.

    • @randiecanterbury385
      @randiecanterbury385  5 лет назад

      Yes!! Once you've saved it. Just pull up cricut and go to upload! Then find your file and click on it and hit upload! It might have an "error message" but click okay and everything should still pop up just fine! The message is something like "the uploaded text is not supported" or something along those lines but mine always upload if I did it correctly!!

    Thanks for spending your time and showing how to do this! My little grandson is in love with POKEMON and I am wanting to do a project in HTV for him. I am very new ( Christmas gift from Hubby) to all of this so I have a HUGH learning curve. I am a little confused on one step, I understand once you save image and it's added in Cricut, the design will be grouped by color , so when you cut each color/piece it will group and cut together , but will the entire design also be in black, or will I just have the outline and than fill in with the remaining colors. ( wondering about the layers of HTV) I wish there was a view of it in Cricut. hope my questyion makes sense.
    Again thanks for all your help. I greatly appreciate it and remember unfortunately some people just gotta hate.

      Hi!! There are plenty of videos of how to make this in design space. I just dont particularly like crafting anything like this on there because they would have glitches and it would completely delete my progress and I would have to start over! It may have changed but there are plenty of videos throughout youtube with exactly what your looking for! Also when bringing a saved image into design space it won't group the colors together you'll have your image the same way you saved it! When you go to cut then it'll group the same colors together!

      I hope you do more videos in the future. Very clearly explained the steps and I had a really easy time understanding what you explained. Thanks Again. Happy Crafting!!
