Thank you for posting this, it helps me with my VR series, there are some bugs, but is very fun playing it, although I never played the original one, I see it is much much muuch better!
Glad I could help! You should play the original game as well. Or at least the non-VR version of Black Mesa. It's pretty good!
@@TheLonelyDeveloper played HL1 but never played BM non VR, but the bugs are not distracting
@@c64cosmin its just a much better experience in the non VR version, a.k.a. the original Black Mesa for PC. This VR version not only is buggy, but the enemy AI is actually from HL2, this is in fact a HL2 mod. Trust me, its a whole different ball game playing Black Mesa with a keyboard and mouse. The VR version is ok for the nostalgia value but as a standalone VR game its pretty mediocre.
never played black mesa but i bought it and recently i finished half life alyx so maybe i'll play black mesa vr
I would recommend you play the official non VR version honestly, it's much better as a game. As a VR experience, the VR mod is ok, but it's not as good as the official non VR game. The AI is from HL2 so it's much worse, and many things don't work, like the XEN levels. Don't miss playing those in the non VR version, they are absolutely amazing :)
Well pooper scooper, and here I was thinking about trying black mesa VR. The original hl native quest port, and hl2 and the episodes are phenomenal in VR. Black mesa on my projector and sound system was great too! 'except xen. '

Hehe, yes the other VR ports were pretty good, I played all of them. This one was ok, but its an unofficial port so the quality is meh.. And the lack of support for the Black Mesa version of XEN is a major disappointment yes.. @@tatsumaru12345

Hi, im playing BM in VR with PCVR and my Meta Quest 2. Im at the end of the chapter 7, after killing the boss i have to conect the wagon, but nothing happend when i press de action button. Any idea? Thanks in advance. (In previous chapter there is another wagon. It did not work, but that time i could walk... but now its mandatoy to activate it to continue the game)
I think I replied to your other comment already :) Jump on the wagon, go close to the controls, press the USE key, and then up and down I think. Good luck!
Are the XEN levels not working because you can't long jump? Cause I've gotten them to run in VR and omg that shit is breathtakingly beautiful. But, the long jump isn't working, and the way you do it in the Half-Life VR or LamdaVR mods isnt working
Exactly. Plus I think they are not properly implemented, the enemies don't work how they should. I tried with the NO-CLIP cheat and at some point all enemies start bugging out. It wasn't fun to play so I just quit.. sad! I was so disappointed.. they do look spectacular, breathtaking as you said.. maybe in the future we will be able to play them because they really are special!

You mean move the train cart? you just hop on it, get close to the commands, press use, and then press forward if I remember correctly :) I played this 3 months ago so I am not 100% sure but I think it was like that. Hope this helps!

@@lmiguelonl I think so yes. It was like that in the original game, use + up or down, so it kind of makes sense.
@TheLonelyDeveloper im Still looking for a solution in other forums. Something is wrong. As you said it would work by pressing action +forward...but...nothing happened.

@@lmiguelonl Hmm.. did you change any of the bindings? If not, then you can try changing them. I played it on a Quest 2 with the default ones. It might also be a bug in your savegame, meaning the wagon is in a "deactivated" state and that is why it is not working. Do you hear a sound when using the "use" key next to the controls? Also make sure you are glued to the control lever and looking towards it.. Hope you get it to work, good luck! It sucks when you run into bugs like these, it takes all the immersion away...
