Linking Parameters for 3D Toolpaths control the machine movement between the end of a cutting pass and the start of the next pass. Smooth exits and entries reduce machine wear and tear and will minimize or eliminate marking the part due to sudden acceleration. Reducing the distance traveled improves cycle times while maintaining clearance from the part to avoid collisions.
3D Toolpaths have the power to tackle complex challenges and geometry, so we’ve gathered some key skills and tips to help you be more efficient in programming with them. These are all areas of the 3D toolpaths that either get overlooked, aren’t understood, or are rarely optimized. There have been a lot of changes to these three areas of the software over the past two releases, so this webinar is designed to catch you up and supercharge your efficiency.
Here are the three topics we’ll cover about getting the most out of the 3D toolpaths.
    - Understanding Linking Parameters for 3D Toolpaths and how to efficiently enter and exit cuts with the tool motion you want.
    - Making use of stock awareness of 3D Toolpaths and why Stock Models are now your best friend.
    - Understanding when to use the Arc Filter for smoothing and how you can improve your finish passes when doing so.

5:24 me neither, even with rapid moves. Im using a Heidenhain control where this is no issue.
