The 4 people that go with him along the MV are meant to represent 4 personas of himself. Like 4 different sides to him, some of the actors have talked abt what persona they were playing on instagram. And RM did an “album exchange” with Jimin that will help you understand his intentions a lot better. The album absolutely slaps, it’s very indie/alternative which has been a recent trend of RM’s collaborations. I think you’ll really enjoy it, it is a full auditory experience, the transitions from one song to the next are impeccable, you can get completely lose track of what song you’re listening to if you don’t pay attention. I’m loving this album and I hope RM feels accomplished and a sense of relief having this album out.
It's a reference to the Tonight Show. RM once stated on the show that if he wouldn't be an artist he would have been an office worker (business man). The weird expression on the presentors may be how him and BTS are introduced on shows. Sometimes they act overexcited and that may feel old or they act as if they are excited (they're actually not but they have to because it's BTS, the biggest group in the world) and that may look fake, insincere. So here he's contemplating how life would be if he wouldn't be an artist. But it doesn't make him happy and he wants to get out (looking for the exit). But the only way out it by going back on stage. But even there he isn't happy... The whole album is about his journey of self-discovery and what he wants in life. So now he want to experience new things. The weird looking people who were with him are his different personalities. They look weird, odd because RM always felt as an outsider, not fitting in. The different RM's in the maze are all him, wanting something different in life and he's lost because he doesn't know what he wants to do (be a camera man, a presenter, an office, worker, an artist). They represent his thoughts (we're looking into Namjoon's brain).
Album is experimental hip hop and it was the shiii, exactly what I wanted from RM 🫡
It will be easy to understand if you think of it as an “inside out” version of rm. I think it's likened to a head lost in a chaotic situation where each different emotion is your own. In the end, you escape...

The album is super good and creative and experimental. For sure worth a listen. You may be copyrighted if you do live on YT. If you have a twitch, then you can start on YT and when you're ready to start listen, move to twitch with everyone. If you don't do live then you will need to break up the album into like 3 videos to not get blocked. 💜💜💜
