here for that *satisfying* final cake slice shot! #bestfoodporn
I made this cake yesterday with the Buttercream frosting. I made 2 - 8 inch rounds. I weighed the ingredients instead of measuring. That is the key. It turned out fantastic. Mind you, it is a vegan, gluten free cake. It will not be light and fluffy. It’s a little dense, but moist and tastes great. The frosting recipe made a good amount. No need to double unless you are doing a lot of embellishing. It’s definitely a keeper.
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your feedback!
Many thanks for this recipe, made it for my boyfriend’s birthday yesterday, he couldn’t even tell it was glutenfree vegan. I used coconut whipped cream, works great as well! 🙏🏽
Aw, yay! We're so glad to hear it, Betti! xo
whose idea it was to put white letters on a white/bege cake and background? MY EYES
Rute Cunha thank you, you just spoke for me
for real!
And wish it was just a little slower.
Notime You can go to settings and slow it down a bit. Unfortunately, you can’t change the color...
Looks so fluffy! Can’t wait to try this
I made this cake for my husband’s birthday and it was the first gluten cake that I’ve ever made that worked 🙌🏼
The texture was beautiful and tastes amazing ❤️
So glad you enjoyed!
This was delish!
I've just tried this recipe and I have to say that it's great. However, I didn't follow exactly the recipe 'cause I prepared it quite late, so I picked what was on my kitchen. I used coconut milk powder plus 300ml water, apple vinegar, and a mix of almond and rice flour (2 cups of rice and 1 cup of almond). Instead of vanilla (cannot believe that I didn't have vanilla in my kitchen...!!) I used amaretto liqueur (3 tspn). The rest of the ingredients I kept it equally than this recipe. Hope this can be helpful for all of those than want to prepare this recipe. Many thanks from Chile!
Hey, how did you work out the measurements? I’m so confused looking at the measurements and what they mean
I'm really happy because it's a wheat allergy
I always envy the sweets that I saw a friend of mine
Happy to eat homemade
going to try this
Fantastic.
Yum!!! Thanks for the recipe! But what did you use to make the frosting? (Edit: sorry I just checked your website and found it!) 👍🏻
For this recipe I put canola oil in place of applesauce and for milk use an additive free almond or soy milk or it gives it a weird texture. If u do it like this itll be amazing
Looks really good!
Thank you! Can't wait for you to try it! ❤️

Can't wait to make it! 🤩
The white on white is intense(ly unreadable). Cake looks good though
Yeah i think ppl do white on white for aesthstics but it's definitely not pretty or accessible 😭
I do have a question. Would it be possible to make one big cake using this recipe rather than 3 small ones? Would we still get the same results?
how do u make the frosting?
Can I substitute the flours with 1 to 1 Bob’s redmill?
can i use coconut sugar instead of regular sugar?thank you
why this music again? has such harsh sounds :/
Touching Pizzas mute it then :/
everyone is talking about the letters haha. I thought the aesthetic was good. Then again I’m not blind.
Haha I know right!?😂who cares, the cake looks amazing!🤤
Im not blind either. Looked nice to me. Kinda gentle on the eyes and let you focus on both the reading and video.
First, I like the white lettering and it's easy to read.
Second, I make one of the meanest vegan chocolate cakes in existence (and Im not even vegan), but the one time I tried a vanilla one it had the texture of cornbread. Not bad, was still delicious...but not vanilla cake textured. How does this compare? It looks fabulous enoygh that I may need to revisit vanilla!❤🤔
How does this hold up against the heat?
❤
What is the frosting?
y’all are being dramatic about the text it’s perfectly easy to read
sounds like paper mario ttyd music
Hi can I have this recipe converted to gram? Thanks
OMG I want to try this and bring it to my friends b-day party but Im scared it wont be good uhm
did you end up making it?
Has anyone tried this? And is so how good is it?
Molly l I just baked it but I didn’t realize it had to cool 6+ hours before frosting. Life is so hard! 🤣
Ana Who but did it taste like regular cake and rise?
Molly l i had never baked with almond flour before so I didn’t know what to expect. I thought it was good. It was heavy, dense, crumby, so not like your average flour cake fluffy and airy. My kids were not fans. They loved the buttercream frosting though. I thought it was all good.
Molly l yes! It was really easy and really tasty!
I have eye problems and this white font really gave me instant headache! This recipe was fantastic!!! ReDo this video!
I want to make this cake but I’m not gluten free. Can I use regular flour? If so how much? please respond
Hi! We’re not sure if this cake would be a good fit for all purpose flour (we haven’t tested it). But if you do give it a try, let us know how it goes! Otherwise, maybe check out these vanilla cupcakes: minimalistbaker.com/one-bowl-vegan-funfetti-cupcakes/
Who's idea was it to use white letters? Wtf?
Hi. It looks amazing however due to my problems I cannot see the recipe as it comes on screen. Black text or put text in a b)ack box would be very helpful. I wish you every success in all your ventures.
Can I use all arrowroot starch instead of potato starch?
Potato starch is key for a light and fluffy texture!
@@Minimalistbaker ok thank you!
Softened butter? Like just room temp? Or do we melt?
Room temp! A spoon should make an indent without sinking or sliding down into the butter. A quick google search can also help you with what it should look like if you would find that helpful too. Hope this helps! xo
Ok thanks! And is it okay to use an electric mixer? Or it’s best to do it by hand?
I was trying to read the white font so hard, I missed the recipe. 🤣🤓
Ana Who lol..yep! I'm goung to check out the website. It looked good! 😊
Yes!
Can you please share the measurement of the ingredients..
Check out the link above! You'll find all the details you'll need.
Can I replace the almond flour?
The almond flour is pretty essential to the light fluffy texture in this recipe, however you could substitute cashew flour if you can have that.
The thing is the cake recipe I’m
Looking for have to be gluten free, nut free and vegan, 😬
it would be great if i could see the tEXT
Texture great... moist and fluffy but it turned out bitter... it might be too much baking soda/powder

Cant read the ingredients 😕

@@Minimalistbaker Thank you :-) but I don't think the link works anymore (or at least it doesn't work for me when I click it)
Instead of copy and pasting the website try typing it out if you have not tried that. Sometimes that works.
Where is the recipe
You can find a link to the recipe in the description (if on mobile, click the three dots in the upper right corner to get to the description). Or find it here: minimalistbaker.com/1-bowl-vegan-gluten-free-vanilla-cake/
what if its not vegan?
Why put applesauce in the cakes?
In place of egg
@@shaz185 thx
I hate the music. No offense.
