- Flying with Kevin of 310 pilot in Kentucky at the Rough River KY Fly-In with my proctologist / DPE examiner in the back seat for good measure. A friend and I created this fly-in at the Rough River Dam in Kentucky. This was the 2nd one and it was a blast. Kevin was cool enough to take us up in that amazing airplane. I just gave my first (legit) flight review a few weeks ago and I have to say, you have some great tips for giving flight reviews that I will be using next time lol.
You're right, You and Kevin should not fly together. Great to see you and Keven at 2I3 when we flew in for breakfast on Saturday.
It was great to meet you. we are going to do the same thing next year April 23rd through 26th. Keep that in mind as next year rolls around we're trying to grow this thing
Just Plane Silly. I reached out and joined the POA. I haven't had much time to peruse the site much yet. Looks similar to the Cessna 172 Forum on which I am a frequent contributor. We have our Kentucky Pilots Association meeting tonight and I will mention the next fly-in at Rough River and I will put it on our website calendar. Since we are based only 50 miles away, we should be able to put up a good showing. In fact, I'm sure that our pilot's association would like to host a lunch for POA on one of your days in KY at our airport, BRY. Bardstown is the Bourbon capital of the world and I'm sure that we could also arrange some tours. One of our members also has an aerial tour business that is dedicated to bourbon sites. If you want to chat further, I believe that you should have my email address from previous correspondence.

Spent a lot of my childhood summers at my grandparents place in Rough River. Thanks for posting. Looking to get my license in the not so distant future.
That's awesome! Go for it. I did it later in life and I haven't regretted one dollar I have spent on aviation, the sacrifices I made to do so, and it is one of my most proudest accomplishments. Stick around and let me know when you start the journey. It is an amazing ride.

I thought it was kinda novel that 310 announced his position in the pattern. Can't believe that is still required. You'd think in this day and age that pilots would be more proactive and be looking where others are. Announcing justs leads to pilot task overload and is going to cause a serious accident someday, mark my words.
its not required its voluntary. but its safer because you dont have to look for the other planes as much because you hear where they are

Cool to watch, from someone else's point of view, Kevin aviating. But... sorry, Bryan, Jaime looks a helluva lot better than you do. She handles the radio a helluva lot better than you do. There are, I'm sure, other things that she does a helluva lot better than you do - like do you work ATC? But, hey, don't feel bad, I'm sure there's something you do better. Like maybe drain the dragon standing up? And WTF is your proctologist doing wearing Jaime's head set? When she finds out about that, she'll burn it in a New York minute! Her headset. Proctologist! EUWWWW! 'Course he isn't really a proctologist. But her earpieces in someone else's ears? Burn... sizzle... toss... Hello, Kevin, time to buy Jaime a real comfy Bose headset... That Jaime can keep under key and lock.
