Hi Holly, I understand what you say about brambleberry oatmeal milk and honey FO it's my 1# favorite scent. I tried from other brand but they aren't same note scent. Your soap looks really good with the natural ingredients that brings out the luxury bars.
I love the those two fragrance oil together. I had both of those fragrances and can’t remember which one didn’t care for, so I combined the two. now that’s fragrance I use all the time. I just love look of a plan soap.
I love how bubble wrap makes the most perfect honey combs shape , your soap is so beautiful, I am learning, but have not made soap yet, still need to make a tiny soap studio in my laundry room
Oh, it looks lovely Holly. I moved away from bath bombs and soaps for a few years but I’m coming back to it all. Your RUclips channel was the first one to spring to mind. I know I will learn so much from your videos-thank you so much x
I love Brambleberry too! I'm making milk and honey soap too with a little difference. My fragrances are three: honey, coconut milk and almond. I'm also using a honeycomb and bee mold.
I have watched a lot of soap making video's, I mean thousands of video's. The soap you make is the best soap I have ever seen, it is always so creamy and no air bubbles. You need to pat yourself on the back. Love your soaps. I just wish I lived in your country to purchase your soaps. The postage is way too expensive to have the soap posted to me.
I have to say. I "found" you on youtube by accident. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos. You are so comfortable in your craft and in front of the camera. You've taught me a lot. I hope to be successful with your help.
Soap looks beautiful! Great idea to add water to the honey for ease of use. Question: Do you make dish soap? I searched, but didn't see anything. Thank you.
I am so grateful to have a yard for me to be able to make my own fragrances. in addition to the honey, there is nothing better than the original honey. I have learned this on my own and through trial and error. But I learned that everyone has their own style and yes, I like yours.
That soap turned out great Holly!! Honey soaps with the bubble wrap are some of my favourite soaps to make. My absolute favourite is Honey Clementine from Fragrance Buddy mixed with some of the Pure Honey from BB. OMG it is to die for!! Makes me drool too!! 🤤 😂
I am a retired Veteran and I started to make some soap for my family and friends, I really like the way you made this milk soap, I am wondering what temp do you recommended I make milk soap at. I have seen some videos saying to keep oils and milk at a lower temp. Thank you, Daniel D
Hello Daniel. Thank you for your service! I soap at room temperature so that's typically between 65-75 depending on the time of year. I do still gel the milk soaps but since I don't use full milk, they tend to stay creamy instead of being a tan color.
I love farm fresh milk but it’s so expensive. Even after getting back the 3$ glass deposit it’s still almost 6$ for half a gallon. But once in awhile I justify it since I only use milk in coffee.
I sell milk for $7/gallon bc I want it to be affordable, people deserve real food. It's still more expensive than mass produced but that's all subsidized by the gov so impossible to compete with. Surely by design.
Hey! Well firstly I had to Google what the Ozarks are ! Sounds an amazing region, very informative this vlog was Holly. 😊. I just wish this one was edible! It looked delicious 😋. Thank you 💜
Thank you! It did feel weird not making soap for the Christmas season and making the videos. I always enjoyed those as well. Maybe I'll be able to do them again next year!
Hi Holly! A small question since I always see your bars perfect when you unmould and cut them. How long do you wait to unmould and cut them and how much sodium lactate do you put ppo? Thank you so much 🤩
Thank you! Typically, I don't cut my soap for 4-5 days. That's only a scheduling situation because it takes preparation on my part to film the videos (also to want to actually get the splitter down, lol). I often unmold and put the slab on a tray for a few days. The slabs are also so heavy that even hard soaps are easy to dent right away. The SL I use has a recommended usage rate of 1-4%. I tend to use 3-4%.
Lovely as always Holly. I do use a lot of honey in my soaps. I think I shared with you that before and so far so good, never had an issue. Need to try the pure honey fragrance from Brambleberry, will try to justify the shipping, lol. Thank you Holly
Thank you Marc! The sliding loaf splitter was from Smith Creek Studios. At last check, they were no longer making them. The bar cutters I use are from Bud's Wood Shop on Etsy. Be sure to check out the video description for this information and more. Thanks for watching!
Just came across your page and it’s absolutely wonderful. You’re very good at explaining things lot of people say measuring in grams is easier, but what do you think and what’s your history on when it comes to weighing out things I am a beginner in my soap journey.
Thank you! I do use the US version of measuring in ounces for soap and scrubs. The only thing I really use grams for is bath bombs and I don't even know why. Ha! I didn't learn the metric system in school so I feel most comfortable with ounces most of the time.
It's a Kitchen-Aid with a link in the description. It can be hard to find without that link. That being said, I need a new one and haven't repurchased it because I wasn't sure about the source nowadays.
Love it! I bet it smells amazing and so creamy. I remember going to the milk stand with my gramma to pick up fresh milk in glass bottles. Sometimes she would even get me chocolate milk. You can’t beat farm fresh!
have you thought about trying soap with heavy cream. I've looked for videos and come up short, just a few hits on dual lye "cream" soap processes..... but I'm so curious!
Oh yes, I have used cream a lot. You have to keep the usage low because it is highly fatty. Scroll through my videos and you can find Orange + Cream Sea Salt Soap, Crema y Cacao Soap, Tallow + Cream Soap, etc..
Thank you Pattie! Yes, the fat in the milk will add a bit to the super fat. Many soapers that do full fat milk soaps will often reduce the super fat of the batch to 4%.
This particular recipe is proprietary to my business but I do share recipes occasionally. Most of my videos from last year have a test recipe in the video description. You can find a tallow recipe and salt soap recipe on my channel as well. I always recommend checking out recipes from Bramble Berry, Lovin Soap, and the Nerdy Farmwife.
I'm the one who addicted with the original color of CPS ,the light yellow always make me feel comfort and warm and peace.
I like that you are talking to the camera! Nice to see your face. :)
Thank you Christine!

That's so fun Charlotte! They do work together really well.
I once did a oatmeal milk and honey unfraganced, it turned out beautifully, and some how it fragrance itself which was really nice.
I have done that too and it does have a very comforting, lightly sweet scent.
Wow it looks very luxurious and creamy for the skin beautiful batch. Thanks Holly.💕

Thank you Tracy!
So pure and lovely!
It is for sure! Thank you!
Sounds like wonderful soap! I’m really enjoying the tallow soaps I bought from you. Thank you for all you do!
That's wonderful! Thank you so much!
I love it there. The Ozark is a great place to visit.
It is! We lived between Springfield and Branson and really loved the area.

That turned out so creamy looking and I bet it smells wonderful. That fresh milk makes me think about Cleopatra and her bathing in milk.😊. Love it.
Thank you! Oh that's so true!

Bud Haffner, the man who made your amazing soap cutter, is also in southwest MO, so you're on a roll. I love this simple soap.
Thank you! Bud is the best!
I love your videos ! I can only imagine how beautiful your soap smells !
I just subscribed to you! I work with cbd to make my own products and soap is one of them. Hope to learn from you soon!🦋
Thank you so much! It really does smell amazing.
This one is so creamy and filled with goodness ❤
It is for sure. Thank you!
I’m sad to not seeing your holiday soap. 😢 hope you will come back!!

Enjoy watching your videos. Always learn something I didn't know.

Great idea! I have friends with bees and goats so this is definitely something I'll try next summer!

Hi
Great video. I love your slider cutter and the pull down cutter, can you please tell us where you got them?

@@moriversoap I agree. I’ve heard grams is more accurate? Do you have a instagram I can message you on
Love your technique. I assume you won’t oven process do to the honey?
Thanks! My batches go through gel without any assistance. The oven would risk overheating with the milk and honey.
I loved the stick blender, which brand is it? Thanks.

I apologize if it's been asked but what size is your tray/slab mold that you use?
Thank you Donna! I think this one was 16 x 18.
Hello! New to soap making and would love to make this one. Does the honey water account for some of the oil, or how does that calculate in?
Welcome to soapmaking! The honey water is deducted from the water portion.
Hello where did you purchase the loaf slicer from? Thanks
It's from Smith Creek Studio but it's no longer something they make and sell. Be sure to check out the video description for helpful links.
@@moriversoap thanks
Try Bud Haffner, not sure I spelled that right
Are you closed for good or will you be back? We'll miss you!!!!!
Thank you! I really don't know at this point. It depends on how much I miss it or if I need some extra income. Haha!
Oatmeal milk & honey FO from brambleberry smells a lot like marzipan to me☺
Oh cool. I bet it does have some similar notes.
Since you are using whole milk, does that add to your super fats?
Beautiful soap BTW
Thank you Pattie! Yes, the fat in the milk will add a bit to the super fat. Many soapers that do full fat milk soaps will often reduce the super fat of the batch to 4%.
@@moriversoap thank you. That's what I thought but just wanted to make sure
