It showed how tough Triple H really was and how vicious Mick Foley could get regardless of what persona he was portraying.
They had lots of great matches on TV and ppv but their street fight at the Royal Rumble in 00 was their absolute best ever.

Flair may be known as the measuring stick, but Mick has served a vital and very similar role in the WWF. Even though he's been on the losing end of many of his rivalries which does admittedly suck, you don't squash Mick Foley. You *survive* him. Great vid... I'll, again, humbly request a look into the Mick Foley & Terry Funk rivalry which included one of the best matches I've ever seen, which I'm pretty sure was on RAW billed as Mick Foley v Chainsaw Charlie.

Bret once questioned to what has HHH ever done. I’m gonna be honest, he was the fuel to the Foley’s fire. The chemistry between this two rival Bret v Shawn and Rock v Austin. Just two great workers.

Channel 4 started showing Sunday night heat in Ireland in late 1999. They also started showing some free ppv's. Royal rumble 2000 was the 1st ppv I ever saw. Didn't know anything about the hardy boyz, table matches, bubble wrap bikini's or street fights. I was 16 and stayed up until 4 a.m to watch it with my older brother. We were blown away with how awesome it was. Not just the wrestling but the stories being told. From that night on Foley has always been my favourite wrestler. Stone cold and the rock were cool but Foley always had so much more depth. Like your favourite book everytime you read it you discover something new and profound. I didn't know it at the time until my older brother started talking about him, that that was the same cactus jack we used to watch in WCW on ITV years earlier when he feuded with Big Van Vader and went missing as a homeless man. Thanks for bringing all those great memories back wrestling bio's your channel is one I always look forward to clicking on. Keep up the good work.

One of the best rivalries of all time, an example of opposites attracting and creating magic. It's interesting how they had little to do with eachother in 1998, despite the fact HHH's DX went huge and turned him babyface, while Foley went heel for a lot of the year, so they could have faced eachother but with a totally different dynamic. Also weird is the fact that Foley's first title win had HHH in the ring celebrating with him and hoisting Foley up on his shoulders with the rest of DX. It's quite a sight in relation to their usual rivalry.

Chyna was such a beast! I loved the dynamic with her and HHH. She actually mattered when she was at ringside (as you pointed out numerous times in this video). Can you please do an in-depth video on her career? The previous video is an overview of her life, but as it’s 5 years coming up to her death, a very detailed analysis on her career (1997-2001) and how she transitioned and professed would be so touching.

My favorite rivalry as a teenager and got me back into wrestling again from 2000. Cactus really put over Triple H in a big way and made the ‘game’ the badass top heel of that year and then (annoyingly) the decade to come on Raw. Still say as one final gift from the WWF they should of given Cactus the title at the Rumble 2000 street fight even if he’d of lost it the night / week after, Foley deserved one last championship.
