    Im glad I came across this video. I went thru 3 IVF failures and was devastated. It took me over 4 years to crawl out of depression and rethink of some way to have a baby. I was already 46. Chances of having my own baby was very bleak. consulted a few doctors and now we have thought of getting a doner egg and trying it one last time. I pray and hope that this time It will be a success. God bless you and your baby with Good health and Happiness ever after.

      For us, our adoption with our son we have is an open adoption. Our hope is that one day he will meet his biological siblings, so there’s definitely an opportunity for it if that’s the desire for the donors and adoptees! ♥️

      Kelly, my husband and I can't have our own children, but I can carry. Please, if you feel that you're ready to give someone the opportunity to raise your babies in a loving home, consider us. I wasn't planning to start the process until this Spring, but I saw your message, and thought it might give you the opportunity to talk about it. I can send you my email. No pressure. I just didn't want to miss this opportunity to connect to a mama who is still loving her snowflakes. Sharon

    We are a family of 7 (5 kids at home, ages 4-11) and 2 adult children. We would really love to have (another) set of twins, but would like to adopt children who otherwise might not have a chance. I would also like to carry our babies to term. I heard about embryo adoption and it seems like the perfect fit. Thanks for this video! We are excited to prayerfully move forward with our own journey.

    Thank you so much for this. My boyfriend and I started trying before we were going to get engaged and married bc I'm 32 and having fertility issues. He has 2 from an previous marriage and we are trying for our first together. The fertility doctor said I can get pregnant but the chances of me conceiving are low and then he gave us IVF options and embryo donation options. I was just told this yesterday and I've been trying to wrap my head around it. I'm glad I found you .. so I can ask questions and things of that nature. Do you have to have a adoption where the biological donors are in the child's life or can it be anonymous or closed adoption process?

    • @jenlowell8849
      @jenlowell8849  4 года назад +1

      I am always here for any questions you may have! If you have Instagram, I am easy to reach on there. @_jensjourneys_ The agency we went through you can choose open, semi-open, or closed adoption. Then both parties just have to come to an agreement on the type. But I know with many other organizations that you can get donated embryos from you can very easily have a closed adoption. We do not personally know what it will look like for our son yet as he grows up with a physical introduction to our donor family, but I talk to our donor mom semi-frequently and absolutely love her. There's no "right" way to go about things, just go with your guy but also keep an open mind is my best advice. :)

    Did you have any issues convincing the doctors to allow implantation during a natural cycle? Anything you had to do or prove in order to do it with a natural cycle?

    • @jenlowell8849
      @jenlowell8849  5 лет назад

      I did not. My doctor's had seen through all of my tests and procedures that I have a healthy uterus and was ovulating on my own already, so they didn't have any concerns or believe I needed to do all of the injections. Unless you have a medical condition that makes the injections of those hormones necessary for your body to be prepared for a transfer, the only "benefit" of the hormones is in scheduling of the transfer. When preparing to transfer on a natural cycle you run a greater risk of having to cancel the cycle if your body ovulates on its own early. But I was under a lot of supervision with ultrasounds monitoring follicle growth and my lining thickening.

    • @jessicarodriguez8784
      @jessicarodriguez8784 5 лет назад

      Jen Lowell thank you! That’s very helpful to understand. I don’t have any known issues and have been a bit concerned about all the extra hormone injections. I’ll look into this further, thank you!

    • @jenlowell8849

      A lot of prayer happened throughout all of our doctor's appointments and tests that led us to knowing that we would never have biological children. I believe our hearts were being prepared that entire time to be led to adoption and when we found embryo adoption it was the greatest blessing that we would be able to both adopt and experience a pregnancy.

      @@missy3300 it isn't for everyone and that is okay too. Families are built in all kinds of different ways. excellent question. preparing your mind to accept a different genetic material and accepting that its not yours and not your genes is not an easy task for everyone. and more so it needs accepting that the hope to have their own baby with their own eggs and sperms is not possible for whatever reason and then moving on to accept an alternative.
