Hey, what happened to real trees, real wreaths and the real scent of pine boughs throughout a home? Why did all of that get pushed aside for natural-LOOKING plastic stuff made in China? I'm not buying it!! Nope!
Some of the out of the country made items are sold in some privately owned shops and stores and are their bread and butter. I'm one of them. Please don't judge.
The older I've gotten, the more I love the simple cozy winter decor that stays up until spring.
Boy isn't that the truth. I used to take down all my pictures and put up a whole bunch of Christmas decorations and then have to take it all down and put it away. That's 65 I am enjoying the calm cozy General winter decorations

Reminds me of a Scandinavian Christmas esthetic, minimal, and natural. That look seems to carry over the winter months a bit better that more traditional Christmas decor. This year I am going in this direction as well.

It looks like snow fell in your living room with everything so white, it's like a canvas and you add the pop of color where ever you want, the pop of green looks nice, red berries would be lovely or a red cardinal all in all it looks lovely

I have used a softer green paint for Christmas , then used the deep green vinyl for my wording. But I had the deep green on hand. Love the shade of green paint you got. I think it is the perfect Christmas Green…if there is such a thing. I guess in the eyes of the beholder right?

Mary you should sell diy kits for your items,bird boxes,candle sticks and alike,literally put the bits in a box and sell them unfinished for the buyers to affix themselves so they still get to make up the items but don't have the hassle of hunting & cutting all the wood.
You could also sell diy candle & soap kits.., Sewing packs with all the bits in and the buyer again just stiches it together, so many things you could do in the diy box form & i think it would be great. 😁 your home looks wonderful and festive.
Why don't you just re pack the arms on the sofa and change out the foam in the actual cushions,it would be very easy to do and a more budget friendly option.

Dear Mary, you are such an inspiration. We have a camphor laural tree in our garden, I thought I could cut some discs and do the same. I don't have a cricket or anything like it but I thought I could paint snow flakes (free hand) and either give them as presents and / or hang them from our tree or leave them lying about as decorative pieces. Can't wait to get out there and check out for branch falls. Of course, we are in rural Queensland, Australia and summer is scorching hot and it never, ever snows here. Stay safe. Luci

My favorite thing about your channel is you don't use cheap, Made in China junk in every single thing you do like so many other channels. All of that junk breaks and ends up in our landfills.
