To be fair, I think just about any watch made these days looks like another watch. I mean, seriously, how many more options are there? But I do understand your point, especially with the quality of San Martin.

I personally loathe aluminum inserts, no, it doesn't give the watch a vintage look, no, the many scratches on it are not memories or wabi-sabi or other excuses, they're just ugly scratches. The screws on the bracelet are indeed a PITA. All in all a nice homage, the sort you can get from AE or from microbrands at 1/3, 1/2 of the price of this one 🤷‍♂️ The scratches on the case are horrific, it's shocking how a watch reviewer (not you, i know) can trash a watch in such a short time 😲

Yeah, the price is a common complaint, for sure. One thing I didn’t include in the video was that it has a ghost date. A ghost date on a Swiss watch? Don’t get it.

Ah, A Rolex deepsea rip off. I could personallu assemble one equally good from Ebay parts / Ali EAxpress parts for under $200 . IF I was paying $1000 I'd rather have a Doxa Sub 800!
