I can fully recommend what Brad says with regard to giving your ex space, thinking space, space to miss you. And there's no time limit with regard to feelings. Just coz you haven't got back with your ex for a number of months or even years it doesn't mean it's not gonna happen. My ex finished our 17 year relationship 13 months ago & it's only in the last month that he's reached out & showing he still has feelings for me. I'm being very careful not to push things too quickly, just playing it cool & keeping things friendly with abit of flirting every now & then! We are arranging to see each other soon after initially spending an evening together but not as a date, just as friends at what was our family home as he's still living there. We're taking things slowly & bit by bit through messaging we're reconnecting. He knows exactly how I still feel about him & how much I still love him dearly so it's just a case of him showing me how he feels about me & building trust again. I'm very optimistic about the future but anything can happen yet. I'm not interested in dating anyone else, despite lots of people telling me I should start dating. But I'm not ready or interested as I want to be with my ex. Listen to your heart if others tell you the same. It's up to you in the end. It's your feelings at stake, not theirs. Guys, I just had a break up after a two year healthy relationship. I have been breaking the no contact rule severally but 4 months into the break-up I have found my purpose, I have done some serious introspection to my life, and I have also come to the realization she wasn't that special. She may surprise you & come back to you. Just coz she's met someone else it doesn't mean it's gonna work out. The grass isn't always greener. Just try & remain friends & tell her that you'd like to stay friends. You'd rather be friends with her than nothing atall. But don't bug her, give her space & try & get on with your life (easier said than done I know, been there & still going through it) but don't stop living in hope. Don't give up. Improve on yourself, whether that's getting fitter, losing weight, improving your sexual technique, taking up a new hobby/interest, travelling etc. Do what you wanna do now you have more time. Meet new & interesting people. Join clubs that interest you. Distract yourself so you're not thinking about her every waking moment. I've been through that. She eventually moved on. And after about 7 months I moved on. I felt great after that. Was grateful for the memories. And found new purpose in life. Realized there's many other interesting people out there to meet. Eventually my ex unblocked me to wish me for Xmas then we made amends and became friends. And sometimes that's the best thing. We all have to move on. But it's unnecessary to have animosity.

I was always the needy clingy one. I tend to make it 3 weeks then I start to miss him. We broke up and started talking again after a year apart. This last time he told me he loved me haha but couldn't commit to me and I didn't really want to share so I told him to go be happy. It appears he's already working on someone new. I guess what I learned from all this is if they leave your life once just be done. It's not worth reopening the wound once you started to heal. I spent so much time hoping he would come back and after a year he did only to break my heart again. 😢❤
Time can be your ally or it can be a hindrance. But in your particular case, the fact that he's entertaining someone else even after a lot of time away from you is a huge red flag you best not ignore next time. Anyway yes, I would agree. Move on from this as you deserve someone better.

She broke up with me just 4 days ago which was a 5 years relationship . We were so happy even though it’s a long distance relationship. Small fights and problems would occur here and there which we used to sort out easily and get together again, but never went this worse like ever due to some wrong manipulations from people around her. So she broke up with me. And now that space is filled by another guy. She’s trying to hold him so strong and be with him. I can’t remain quiet. I’m so hurt and so desperate now. My ex and I have a house together and still live with each other she said she’s been grieving the break up for months now. So she is upset but not like I am cause I thought we were just going through a bad rough patch but thought we woood get through it. My ex broke up with me because she’s emotionally immature and I called her out on it. It’s been a week and when she said she was breaking up I said ok then I’m done too. I’m in no contact as of a week.
Since then she has blocked me and then deactivated her accounts then reactived them to unblocking me on everything except WhatsApp. We work together and I’ve been quiet there too.

It could be due to a lot of factors ranging from genuine interest to him trying to get an ego boost. I can't predict without knowing more about your situation. You bet! The first path towards moving on and getting an ex back follows the same route. I often like to say it's best to take your time in deciding first so there'll be no regrets in the end...but 300 days is more than enough time to do that! The decision is ultimately up to you. Unless he thought the breakup was a mistake and he's asking to get back together, it's best to focus on texting and try not to meet up when one or both of you aren't ready yet. If you're hellbent on trying to work things out, let me just set expectations that it's a tough battle for sure with kid/s involved and/or usually other responsibilities still tied to your ex, but it's best you do limited contact or what I call the dynamic "no contact" rule instead of the full on silence associated with the no contact rule. Man, how can break up with a depressive person? I tried hard to change and was giving extremely efforts but nothing changed stayed the same and this is ruining my mental health. My ex used to do the same things, but stopped over 10 years ago (we were in a relationship for 15 years), she had a HUGE drinking problem + ex-addict (like me), she was also suicidal - right around this time in 2010 she was briefly in a mental hospital due to suicide threats. She said that she would never forget that I came to visit her, because of the social stigma and because her previous boyfriend didn't want to visit her when she was in the hospital few years before that. She healed in the meantime, stopped drinking daily and uncontrollably, got a job where she was promoted, and then she dumped me after everything. All I have left is the Hepatitis C I got from her. I don't know how long you've been together, but Brad's right - you're going to end up scarred after everything.

Just wait until you reach the 30-day period before contacting and yes, that's a good message. Be careful of being too nice though. Remember she's your ex and not your girlfriend anymore but if you feel this is something you must do, then just make it clear whether those tickets are a gift or something she has to pay back at a later date. But also be prepared for the possibility to never get the money back. My partner cheated for a year. We were together for 19. He broke up with both of us ( we have a son). He was relieved when the affair blew up as he began to feel trapped there. I adjusted the advice in your various videos to my situation, but I generally did two weeks of no contact, then two weeks of begging essentially because I didn't really have a plan back then. Then I did like 27 ish days of no contact except for giving each other our stuff back and so on. After that she texted me she missed me, we met up and got back together. It may not work for everyone, but it worked for me. Thanks for your part.

Sorry to say. You messed up reaching out. And you messed up trying to rescheduled after she canceled. This doesn’t mean the interaction wasn’t positive. But she left you. The dumper has to reach out to you. They have to do the work. The more you pull, the further they go away. If she wants to hang out with you, she will put the effort in. She will either reach out or not. If she doesn’t, you should already be moving on. Forget her. Grow yourself. If she does, keep it short and play it cool. Like you would talk to anyone. Keep your feelings unknown. The girl needs to do most the pulling in relationships anyway. Start NC again. And DO NOT REACH OUT. Good luck.
Try to chill, man. If you appear too eager, that will turn your ex off but if you appear indifferent, she will be discouraged. So try to find a balance, yeah? Focus on texting and try not to meet up when one or both of you aren't ready yet. The phase you're on (assuming you've done the first phase correctly which is the 30-day no contact rule) is the second phase where you're rebuilding attraction. Could be anything. It could be you or could be one of her male friends or just men in general if she's shifting her sexual orientation. Have you done something to hurt or offend her? If you haven't, then it could be her way to tap out of the relationship. Sure, in a different context, that's something that can be worked though because having similar fighting styles do help. Fighting styles include both parties talk about it when they're calmer or both walk away for a while or just take a breather before returning to whatever it is you two fought about, some couples sleep on it, literally. In this one though the context isn't in a fight but a full breakup. If you've just been dumped, silence is key.
