if you have to deal with barbed wire in future. Carry a small bit of foam roll/sleeping mat. You can use it to sit on during breaks. You can also use it to cover barbed wire whilst clambering over it. Saves on ripped trousers and other injuries. very light and takes no space. Winstons' four paw drive beating Roz again.
Totally agree with you re the paper maps Roz. I use the O S map app and can download the map for the area you’re exploring. Best of both worlds. Also agree about Winston being off the lead, when my dog and I hill walked many years ago he was never on the lead, much better for us both

Regarding 18:09, I watch the videos for Roseanne. I have a cocker spaniel and have had springer spaniels, that were like Winston. Winston is a great dog but I see mine everyday. In the videos, I worry about Roseanne glissading down the mountain, exploring caves and driving on the wrong side of the road. In this video, I hope Roseanne was dressed warmly and made a full recovery after the wet hike. Thank Roseane for bringing us along for your adventures.

I worry about Winston’s back and I worry about you slipping and injuring yourself. Bring a map? That is up to you. I can’t read a map and I once used my phone to find my way and ofcourse I walked in the wrong direction. And Al this is in the city centre of Amsterdam, so I can ask directions from about 100.000 people😂. Roz already looking forward to next Wednesday with you and Winston.

Hello, very sorry for the later reply, I've been moving house. So glad to hear you are enjoying our videos. We do see Luskintyre beach later on in our travels, but only passing. Sadly, the weather doesn't improve enough for us to go an explore it. Each video takes me about 2-3 days to edit. It it a lot of extra work, but I enjoy it overall. Nice video and good music 🙂. We do have high-quality terrain maps for mobile devices here, with altitude information and all other necessary information for hiking. I would believe that there are those there too, although Finland is a big wilderness, maybe that's why we have good maps on mobile devices too??😄

As for being an expert on horse poo, presumably wild rather than ridden on those slopes? I wonder if Winston understands you are talking to camera. Yep, I agree always try to make time to smell the roses to use a well-known phrase. Are you a fan of "slow living" ? Looking forward to the next episode and now depressed that when the adventure comes to an end we have to endure a pause while you move 300+ miles north. Hello, very sorry for the later reply, I've been moving house. I'm glad to hear your cancer treatment has ended and I wish you a happy and healthy future full of adventure. Before I got my caravan, Winston and I use to go on smaller adventures; either a day hike or we'd go away for a few days in a tent. It was a great way to test if we enjoyed this lifestyle. After 2-years of that, I bought my Pod. It was a lot of money to part with and I did question if I was doing the right thing, but I've had so many happy times and experiences that I can't put a price on. Life is for living, and you don't have to travel far in the UK to find beautiful places. Wishing you all the best whatever you decide to do, and thanks for watching our videos. ❤️🙏

Funny how people have to pat the top of a trig point (trig-bagging). Very unusual for OS to get grad lines wrong, I may have mentioned I have a Satmap so I'm never more than about 6m out. My phone has the OS app on it so guaranteed to have latest maps and I can download them to phone so no signal required. Thanks for turning us round so we could see the causeway, even though it did mean we couldn't see your lovely little face 😊. Winston got treats in the rain, you got black pudding and your obviously not too posh to nosh from the pan 😃. Just the one teacake was it? You do have a cake scoffing reputation to uphold. Hello, very sorry for the later reply, I've been moving house. Here's the answers to your questions. - Yes, the horse's on Eriskay are native to the island and they're feral. - You have to touch the trigg otherwise you've not been to the top. It's the rules 😂 - I don't use OS maps. Due to Winston's age, we're only going on short hikes of about 3-4 miles, so it doesn't really warrant it. I just use the AllTrails app 👍🏼 - My self-control is at it's peak if I have just one teacake - usually it's two or, dare I say it, three 🙈 - I have no idea what "slow living" living, but I'm guessing it's not me. I'm always on the go and I'm always busy, I like to do as much in a day as I possibly can because we've only got so many 😀 - They'll be no pausing of videos. I've timed it just right so that when this adventure ends (which will be a while because we're not even half way through), we'll be ready to go out and have another adventure 👍🏼 Thanks for watching.

Winston is amazing my 2 dogs won't go out in that much rain mind you they only weigh 9lb and 12lb lol. I don't mind the rain but I do have a fear of heights ever since years ago I had to be airlifted down a huge mountain at Filey. Xx

So I’m hoping to go car camping in south of France and maybe Spain. So hopefully starting Friday to convert the car. At the moment just figuring out what I need to do. Do you use the OS Maps app? Well worth the approx £30 annual subscription for the detailed maps and routes, plus you can download maps so connectivity not an issue. And I love watching Winston in the mountains, shows how well balanced they are that their tails can still be wagging like crazy as they climb, they're not dependent on it for balance. I take my neighbour's springer spaniel on holiday with me to the mountains, he absolutely loves it and his speed and agility is astonishing!

Regarding 18:09, I watch the videos for Roseanne. I have a cocker spaniel and have had springer spaniels, that were like Winston. Winston is a great dog but I see mine everyday. In the videos, I worry about Roseanne glissading down the mountain, exploring caves and driving on the wrong side of the road. In this video, I hope Roseanne was dressed warmly and made a full recovery after the wet hike. Thank Roseane for bringing us along for your adventures.

Thank you Roz and Winston for taking us on another hike where we didn’t do anything 😂. I also want to say I do worry about the both of you even though you don’t believe it. I worry about Winston’s back and I worry about you slipping and injuring yourself. Bring a map? That is up to you. I can’t read a map and I once used my phone to find my way and ofcourse I walked in the wrong direction. And Al this is in the city centre of Amsterdam, so I can ask directions from about 100.000 people😂. Roz already looking forward to next Wednesday with you and Winston.

So glad to hear you are enjoying our videos. We do see Luskintyre beach later on in our travels, but only passing. Sadly, the weather doesn't improve enough for us to go an explore it.
Each video takes me about 2-3 days to edit. It it a lot of extra work, but I enjoy it overall.

Nice video and good music 🙂. We do have high-quality terrain maps for mobile devices here, with altitude information and all other necessary information for hiking. I would believe that there are those there too, although Finland is a big wilderness, maybe that's why we have good maps on mobile devices too??😄

In Scotland dogs dont tend to be on a lead when your hill walking. You only really have to be aware of sheep when your out in the hills
Thank you. A lot of people in the comments tend to freak out when they see Winston hiking without a lead 😅 so I felt I need to explain why he didn’t have one on. And he’s scared of sheep, so he doesn’t bother them and gives them a wide birth 👍🏼

As for being an expert on horse poo, presumably wild rather than ridden on those slopes? I wonder if Winston understands you are talking to camera. Yep, I agree always try to make time to smell the roses to use a well-known phrase. Are you a fan of "slow living" ? Looking forward to the next episode and now depressed that when the adventure comes to an end we have to endure a pause while you move 300+ miles north. I'm glad to hear your cancer treatment has ended and I wish you a happy and healthy future full of adventure. Before I got my caravan, Winston and I use to go on smaller adventures; either a day hike or we'd go away for a few days in a tent. It was a great way to test if we enjoyed this lifestyle. After 2-years of that, I bought my Pod. It was a lot of money to part with and I did question if I was doing the right thing, but I've had so many happy times and experiences that I can't put a price on. Life is for living, and you don't have to travel far in the UK to find beautiful places.

Funny how people have to pat the top of a trig point (trig-bagging). Very unusual for OS to get grad lines wrong, I may have mentioned I have a Satmap so I'm never more than about 6m out. My phone has the OS app on it so guaranteed to have latest maps and I can download them to phone so no signal required. Thanks for turning us round so we could see the causeway, even though it did mean we couldn't see your lovely little face 😊. Winston got treats in the rain, you got black pudding and your obviously not too posh to nosh from the pan 😃. Just the one teacake was it? You do have a cake scoffing reputation to uphold. Think I could have entertained myself for a full week from that campsite. Yep, always try to make time to smell the roses 🌹 to use a well known phrase. Are you a fan of "slow living" ?

Hello, very sorry for the later reply, I've been moving house. Here's the answers to your questions.
- Yes, the horse's on Eriskay are native to the island and they're feral.
- You have to touch the trigg otherwise you've not been to the top. It's the rules 😂
- I don't use OS maps. Due to Winston's age, we're only going on short hikes of about 3-4 miles, so it doesn't really warrant it. I just use the AllTrails app 👍🏼
- My self-control is at it's peak if I have just one teacake - usually it's two or, dare I say it, three 🙈
- I have no idea what "slow living" living, but I'm guessing it's not me. I'm always on the go and I'm always busy, I like to do as much in a day as I possibly can because we've only got so many 😀
- They'll be no pausing of videos. I've timed it just right so that when this adventure ends (which will be a while because we're not even half way through), we'll be ready to go out and have another adventure 👍🏼

Winston is amazing my 2 dogs won't go out in that much rain mind you they only weigh 9lb and 12lb lol. I don't mind the rain but I do have a fear of heights ever since years ago I had to be airlifted down a huge mountain at Filey. Xx

So I’m hoping to go car camping in south of France and maybe Spain. So hopefully starting Friday to convert the car. At the moment just figuring out what I need to do. Just cannot handle the rain and wind anymore. 🤣🤣🤣🤪🤪
Great video tonight Winston was like a rocket up the hill when he was rubbing his head on the floor I think he was trying to dry is head it was funny. Wow that was some view from the top of that mountain as you said Roz it would be nice on a very sunny day. Well I'm looking forward to seeing more of you both.

Do you use the OS Maps app? Well worth the approx £30 annual subscription for the detailed maps and routes, plus you can download maps so connectivity not an issue.
And I love watching Winston in the mountains, shows how well balanced they are that their tails can still be wagging like crazy as they climb, they're not dependent on it for balance. I take my neighbour's springer spaniel on holiday with me to the mountains, he absolutely loves it and his speed and agility is astonishing!

I don't use OS Maps that the moment, I just use the AllTrails app. Due to Winston's age, we're not going on big hikes anymore; we only walk about 3-4miles and we're never that far from civilisation. If I were doing more substantial hikes, then I would probably get OS 👍🏼
