I bought his album with Anthony Cox, and fell in love with the group, especially Scofe s way of addressing a tune. By good fortune whilst on holiday in the late 80's I heard that he was playing nearby to where I was on vacation in the South of France, and I went along to find the trio playing to a virtually empty schoolyard in a village. I sat and enjoyed the first set, and when they took a break, I went and chatted to the group inside the schoolroom. They offered me some of the food that was supplied for them, and I even played a bit on Scofe's guitar after he invited me to do so. I stayed until the concert finished, and at most there were around twenty folks there in the audience. Since that time, I have followed his music and adore his unexpected bursts of inspiration which somehow come from deep within his fertile imagination. One thing is for sure, he never plays the same thing twice. Thanks for this great short upload.
