Its some sort of a valve. I don't really know, because its first time that I saw it on a dif, usually there is just a plug. Maybe that it seals, because there is no washer.
@@vrcustoms7 Hi....yes ive never seen that either, strange its not in the drain plug for the front transaxle? Do you know where the filler plug is located for the power transmission unit fitted on the end of the gearbox, i can see the drain plug but not the filler plug? Thank you, best regards, Stefano
@@stefanobio7045 if I remember right front has the only one oil in transmission and back has also one oil for diff and transfer case which is built in differential.
Step 1: remove the fill plug...
nothing worse than draining all the oil and realising you can put more back in!
