I think the studio version is much better, the quality of the live version with Plant's vocals in the later years just isn't up to par for them

Great to see you guys back! This song is a cynical look at the new type of music scene. When Zep first started, groupies were there primarily for the music and a bit of the scene, which is understandable; all you had was the music because no one was famous yet. But, by this point, Zep is one of the biggest bands and the types of backstage fans, groupies, hangers-on, etc. had changed. Now, people were there primarily for the scene first (and maybe music) and what they could get out of it, like sex, drugs, or to bask in the pale reflective glow of being around the famous. That's why Robert sarcastically asks "Do you know my name? Do I look the same?" but facetiously proclaims "I must be the one you want, I've got to be the one you need." because it didn't seem to matter who you were, what you looked like, what band you were with, etc., as long as there was a party going on.

When you guys get to Ten Years Gone, make sure its the 1990 Remaster. It MUST be.

You man need to listen to Over The Hills And Far Away though, obviously react to the studio version first because, one, its incredible, but two, I'm a firm believer in refraining from listening to any live versions before listening to the studio version
But boys, when I tell you that listening to the Madison Square Garden 1973 performance of Over The Hills for the first time is a madness, that's an understatement
My favourite guitarist is Jimi Hendrix, he was the guy, but Jimmy Page is a very close second, and when I tell you the solo from that MSG 73 Over The Hills is my favourite solo of all time, I mean it
Its raw, its vibey, its nasty, it's Jimmy being Jimmy and doing Jimmy things, and it's just a pleasure to listen to

The “over the hills and far away” from The forum in LA, 1972 (the performance used on the “how the west was won” live album) might even be better… Robert is still able to sing the chorus in the original register, instead of sing it lower like he did in 73 and onward… they are both amazing versions, and I agree about listening to live versions before the studio version.

Sick Again is a nice song but it's like # 52 on the list of greatest LZ songs lol. Please do Fool in the Rain, Black Dog, Hey Hey What Can I Do, 10 Years Gone, Rain Song, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Trampled Underfoot etc etc

You guys are great, keep the Zeppelin coming! There is so much more, in fact you would be amazed at how much more there is to discover. I would strongly suggest reacting to some live performances, especially ones with video. It’s good to have context as to who is playing what, and aside from being phenomenal players they were fascinating and captivating to look at as well… Robert (vocalist) had swagger and confidence that was next level, and Jimmy (guitar) was like a force of nature, dynamic and unstoppable, and full of personality and mystery. Start with “since I’ve been loving you” from MSG 1973. Trust me ;)

If you're a real Zeppelin fan then your considered to be a "Led Head" which is what us Zeppelin fans were called back in the 70's 🤪🤟it's funny to hear you say that you hope we're not get tired of hearing them, l'm well into my 60's and I have been listening to them since the 70's when I was a teenager, haven't got tired of them yet🤟

Battle of Evermore... please. Page never played a mandolin , picked it up and bang he and Plant had a song going by the end of the night. And the only song Plant is accompanied by another vocalist

This is about as bad as Led Zepp gets and its a kick ass song. It got no radio play. This song puts in perspective just how good this band was/is. Don't count the last 2 albums also with a couple of exceptions.
There are tons of great bands....but only one L.Z. Da GOATS! I ask...do they do anything bad? Answer, NO! 😎
Led Zeppelin is the greatest, so keep reacting to them. But, Jimi Hendrix, Voodoo Child? When you get a chance and want to be permanently inspired. . . . .
