Ahhhhhhh Zeppelin!! They are talking about all the teenage groupies who followed bands around...all rock bands...not just Zeppelin.
It's the 70's! This song is about all the teenage groupies that followed Zeppelin!
Hi i love this song never knew it was called sick again , try what is and what should never be
**KickAss** song!!! **Luvit** YAY!!! Thank YOU!!!
Robert Plant vocals killing it , Jimmy Page guitar 🎸 riff sounds like Godzilla waking up
Hi JM, this is another great reaction to what my Dad (Mark Tandle/Alias mark69) calls the Mighty Zeppelin. Looking at the names in your playlist I see names I grew up hearing often. Dad and mom are true Classic Rockers. Dad's collection is massive. I agree with him about your channel is the best at Y.T.
Nothing fancy about this one, just the boys doing some straight ahead kick ass rock 'n' roll. The best
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
It's about going on tour in general.....you get sick of it sometimes show after show.....hotels, groupies etc. You have to remember LZ were only in their mid to late 20's when this album came out and Jimmy had a 16 year old girlfriend in L.A. at the time !
Don't forget Lori Maddox. Maddox was just 14 when she met Jimmy Page. When Lori turned 16 Jimmy left her for Bebe Buell, the Playmate who had recently been living with Todd Rundgren.
@@pebblehilllaneand Maddox was a groupie who already was with other bands including David Bowie...
@@juliemanarin4127 - I've read a number of times that Lori Maddox (sometimes called Lori Lightning) lost her virginity to David and Angie Bowie when she was 13. 'Sable Starr,' another of the 'Baby Groupies' of the era, got Lori into the groupie scene.
@@juliemanarin4127 Thank YOU!!! & she said she "Loved Jimmy" people do not seem to understand how life was back in the 70's 60's as well smh everyone always picking on **Led Zeppelin** when pretty much ALL bands were doing the exact same thing & sorry there was a lack of parenting back in the 70's but those girls did it of their own volition but oh well Time Immemorial **Shrugs**
@@pebblehilllane Thank YOU!!! i just dont get why people seem to go after JUST **Led Zeppelin** when ALL the bands (pretty much anyway) were ALL doing the same exact thing smh & sorry BUT the girls did it of their own volition people dont seem to understand how different everything was back then oh well Time Immemorial **Shrugs**
John Paul Jones bass is thumping
Your playlist has some of the most legendary names songs and movie scenes in history, Cheech & Chong - Up In Smoke, Clint Eastwood - Fist Full Of Dollars, Arlo Guthrie - Alice's Restaurant, Country Joe- Viet Nam Song, Mr. Bean - Invisible drum, Frank Zappa - Don't Eat The Yellow Snow, Rodney Dangerfield's 100 Jokes, George Carlin - Advertising - BS, Chambers Bros - Time Has Come Today, CCR- I Put A Spell On You, Don Henley- In The Garden Of Allah/all, Jethro Tull - My God/all, Kansas - Magnum Opus/all, ZZ Top - Anything they did, Santana - Samba Pa Ti Live, The Mighty Zeppelin - All of it, Supertramp - Anything they did, Pink Floyd Live - All Of It, John Lennon - All Of It, some serious southern classic rock, fine females and so much more. Easy to see why your channel is ON FIRE.
Physical Graffiti is my all time favorite Zep album, such a wide variety of musical styles and not a bad song on either album. As far as your question, well Jimmy Page liked em young, like REAL young. So now you know...
If you are referring to Lori Maddox, yes she was 14 and already a seasoned groupie. She wasn't just a groupie to Page tho, he actually cared about her. He even asked her mother's permission to see Lori, and her mother gave it. Instead of having different groupies at each show, he had Lori tour with him but kept her secreted away. She has said that Jimmy was always a gentleman with her. I'm sure that most rock stars liked 'em young
@@cynergy4 she came to mind, but truthfully I just couldn't remember her name, but I did recall the story and how other members of Zeppelin weren't fond of someone so young hanging around like that.
@@cynergy4exactly, yet it’s always brought up about Jimmy, these girls threw themselves at rock stars. I’m sure the girls often lied about their ages, Lori was definitely with David Bowie before Jimmy, I believe another too.
@@cynergy4 Thank YOU!!! so very MUCH! i am so sick of everyone always attacking My Jimmy Page Babe when pretty much ALL bands back then were doing the same exact thing & sorry but yes the girls were doing it of their own volition people just do not understand how very different everything was back then so just THank YOU!!! **RockON!!!**
@@sicotshit7068 Yes she was with Todd Rundgren (sp?) i saw as well probably others too who knows as i said sorry these girls did it of their own volition times were very different back then & ALL (pretty much) bands were doing it i am so sick of him ALWAYS being attacked about it but no one else jeezus smh **RockON!!!** & Thank YOU!!!
It is what you think it is. The band, especially Page, was known for enjoying the attentions of young women who weren't always of legal age in whatever state or country the band happened to be performing.
really it was mostly just Page.
EVERY RICK BAND...the groupies just mobbed them.
@@BigTimeRushFan2112ummmmm no it wasnt...
And? so did (pretty much) ALL the bands back then smh
@@BigTimeRushFan2112 Nope it was mostly EVERY band back then smh
JM I am 63 now, I was prolly 10 when my sister joined a record mail-order club.
Back then (71-72) the club would send an extra album or two that we didn't order, don't know why.
At any rate two Led Zeppelin LPs became a part of our collection.
I just recall then how WEIRD the music sounded!! Lol. Zeppelin was just flat out WEIRD to my ears.
Up till then we were listening to mom & dads Herb Alpert, 5th Dimension, Andy Williams or Glen Campbell albums lol!!😅
Finally JB you do a GREAT job of analysis! Clear, concise, with no interruptions....keep up the good work, Blessings!
-Mike Lombard
BTW JM, you are about 10 years younger than I am. If you keep doing suggestions from Dad you will have heard most all the songs my sisters and I grew up hearing, in about another ten years. Enjoy the adventure as we did.
This song is a not-so-subtle call-out of the young groupies who chased the band....and maybe a more concealed dig at Jimmy Page...which happens increasingly in the next two albums.
I watched 2 live videos 1 1975 and 1 1977 the other members had to cover for his drunk misbeat
Hey, JM what An obscure LZ song to react to, but if you're reacting to the whole cd-it's unavoidable. Have you really reacted to this much LZ, previously? I'm impressed by your analytic skills, and entertaining personality. Doesn't hurt that you're one handsome guy.
Thanks! and yes, I’ve reacted to the first 5 Led Zeppelin albums in their totality. Physical graffiti being the most recent
Daddy's little girl ls all grown up now
The Age of Consent(The age at which a person is considered to be legally competent to consent to sexual acts) in the U.S. is dependent on each state and they range from 16 to 18 years of age, thus he's waiting until she's of legal age to consent to sexual activity.
the state's of Alabama and Mississippi said hold my beer bro. back in the 70's you could marry your 15 year old first cousin in either state. truth hurts.
@@BigTimeRushFan2112 Exactly
Yep
Jon Bonham sounds better in studio than live , live i think he was to drunk
The song is about groupies
I was curious when you'd get back to Physical Graffiti ... curious no more!!!
Great track. Yes the topic is under age groupies. The whole thing oozes sleaze, not just the lyrics, but the deliberately infantilised 7 note hook on every chorus.
Okay I'll bite. How can a riff be made infantile?
