- Decided to head out to the local sand pit (Supercoop MX) to see if I still knew how to ride after a month off the bike. I'll let you be the judge!

Zoom mic gives a much more intense / less muffled sound. Once you sort the issues out it’ll be a good addition to the channel!

Love watching a top 25 professional on a track with regular dudes, let's you appreciate how fast you guys really are! Then there's the guy that tries to pace ya... there for a straight or 2 then the rate which you blow by in the corner is mind blowing.... and he's probably the man at any local track!
I absolutely LOVE that your brakes squeak. It is really cool to hear your breaking points coming into corners, and makes it a lot easier to learn from you virtually.
That zoom mic is great! It really brings out the angry sound of the ktm. Glad to see you posting content again!

Hey Jeff, I’m the one taking ur hood lines and cutting the track. Didn’t here u coming and outside is to muddy for my lil 125. Was gonna apologize but I thought u needed some extra practice getting around us slow guys😂
Lol he’s only half right, you’re not expected to ride around the track looking over your shoulder. He’s the faster rider, it’s his responsibility to pass you, not your job to get out of his way. With that being said tho, ride predictably. If the outside is too muddy for your bike, the smart thing to do would have been to use the inside line down the straight before the corner instead of cutting outside-inside at the last second.

It's so crazy to me how you are able to push through those deep muddy spots so well, guess that's why you are a pro! Lol. The zoom mic is nice though, engine sounds much better. Love watching your stuff!

The zoom audio captures the gnarlyness of the motor. GoPro was muffled. Your voice on zoom was crisp too.

That zoom mic is awesome! At work daydreaming about riding and it's been way too long. Longer than I ever want to admit but the zoom mic is great! The go pro mic is not even close

I like the GoPro more, just because it’s a little muffled and when it’s muffled it seems to make the audio some what smoother and more crisp.

Awesome video, the mic sounds sooo much better , can hear how bad the GoPro is when flipping Between the 2, GoPro sounds like mic is in a box or waterproof housing compared to the mic sounds crispy clear 🔥

For sound you could probably strap a go pro somewhere underneath your fender purely for sound pick up but I’m not too sure where it’d go. Saying that, the zoom seems to be pretty decent with bike sound

Jeff, It likely wasn't the Lapelle mic they sent that is causing the distortion, but rather a setting on the recorder itself. I'd set it to record -24 dB on the recorder.

Also, I want to point out at 4:00 good excample (and 50 every time he goes to the track.) Jwalk is consistently one of the SAFEST fast guys on any track. I actually think it translates to his lack of dramatic crashes in the nationals races. Always looking ahead and assessing the fastest/safest path in real time, and being able to make the adjustments he wants to.

go pro volume can be adjusted in editing pretty easily, I dont know anything about zoom though. good riding

could you imagine a 2stroke on that track with that mic it would make it way better actually hereing how it digs into the soft dirt. you should get another 2 stroke. Sometimes i'll go back and watch your old 2 stroke videos
If you ever come through st louis check out ride organic. They are open on weekdays and have a pro mx track,Arena x track a sand track and a flat track that Jeffrey carver jr runs. I have a few videos of me tilling and ripping the pro mx track.
Jeff this is some serious riding i was riding a track yesterday and thought i was fast and was ripping but this is the first time i’ve actually noticed how insanely fast and good u are on the track. I hope i can get that good someday just gotta keep practicing but seriously keep it up dude!

I like the gopro audio a little better, although this video sounds quieter compared to some of the other ones. Probably just some editing for it being quieter

What stopwatch do you use for your riding?
the zoom over all sounds better but the distortion at the top end is very hard to listen too. Im sure with some tweaking it will be better.
What watch do you run on the bars?

Once you get a less sensitive mic to fix the peaking the zoom will be amazing to addition to the videos
I do like how you can hear more in the video like the breaks squeaking, hard hits to the suspension, and other peoples bikes

where do you put the camera helmet or chest?
personally the clips were annoying but the bike sounds soooo gooooddd and can hear you very well, usually the mics you get with certain products arent the best so a diiferent mic that isnt so sensitive will work way better!
