Treatment For One Side Lower Back Pain(Left or Right) /Exercises For Quadratus Lumborum Syndrome

The Quadratus Lumborum Or QL muscle is a low back muscle that runs from iliac crest (Top side of Pelvis) to the 12th rib or last rib.
the QL acts to move the spinal column through extension and ipsilateral sideband and is considered a major postural muscle as it also acts to stabilise the low back and pelvis.
Quadratus Lumborum Muscle contracts during walking , standing and sitting
and when we stand for long time, the weight of body usually come on one leg may be it's right or left, so this muscle is more prone to be overused and get tired soon . Due to overuses of QL muscle ,the muscle become weak, gets spasm or tight and further it causes Quadratus Lumborum pain/ Syndrome.
If you have pain in this region, a combination if stretching and strengthening of this muscle is helpful to relieve the pain. Give the following exercises a try and let me know if you have any questions.
1.Spinal rotation Stretch
2.Prayers stretch with side bend
3. QL stretch with side bend
4. Side Plank
5. Dynamic Side Plank
6. Hip Hiker Exercise.

Sir mujhe one side muscle tight lagata hai and other side muscle soft lagta hai only rib tak and jab main ground pe baithta hu to dhire dhire tension aata hai phir pain hota hai and sudden bending itana pain nhi hota but agar bending hold kiya to muscle tight ho jaata hai aur pain hone lagta hai...early morning stiffness bhi nhi hoti aur na hi sone me kuch problem aati hai...orthopedic doc ne some kind of vaat type bola hai... aap bataiye kya problem ho sakata..

Due to poor posture sometimes our glute medius muscle also gets weakened and same posture affects QL muscle too as they are adjacent muscle so in some cases it may be possible but needs of assessment for the diagnose

Hi sir meko daily subha uth te samay left side kamar mei bht darad hota hai aur din bhr mei pain feel nhi hota lekin early morning uth te hi bht pain hota hai ... mujhe yeh october ke month mei start hua tha.
