So adding the washers makes the magnets stronger - this must be why you find on cupboard door magnets with a piece of plate either side?? Thanks for the tip - hope it works.

Where did you get your magnets?

Your shop is a wet dream. I'm hoping to make a magnetic knife holder with less. You do very nice work. Your centering technique with the forstner bit is new to me. I learned something. My guess is you couldn't force yourself to do something that wasn't precise.

Thank You so much for the compliment. I used to be a steel fabricator. My old bos used to call me Michael Angelo

Do you make these with Epoxy or could just match a black stainless fridge since that's where I would be mounting one for I have tools and knives. I have 2 cleavers, 2 chef's, 4 petit chefs, 4 santokus, 1boner, 1 carver, 1 bread, 4 filet, 1 deli, 2 can openers, 1 sharpener, and 2 shears? I assume a few magnetic strips would be needed not just one. I live in MA maybe outsource to a local diyer. My house burnt to the ground so no more shop for me. So just checking with you tubers.
