- Опубликовано: 24 ноя 2018
- Brazilian singer Rodrigo Amarante during the festival Le Guess Who? 2018 performs 'Tuyo' which is the title track of the television series 'Narcos'. Meaning of the song: I am the fire that burns your skin
I am the water that kills your thirst
Of the castle, I am the tower
The sword that guards the treasure
You, the air that I breathe
And the light of the moon on the sea
The throat that I long to wet
But I'm afraid I'll drown in love
And which desires will you give me?
Just to look is treasure enough
It will be yours, it will be yours.

The only reason I didn't constantly skip the Narcos intro was this song.
+ pic at start :D
me,too
Absolutely!! And crank up the surround sound.
Narcos was the only series where I never skipped the intro, even after many episodes of watching it.
All of us bud.
Friend : Skip Narcos intro
Me : Peace was never an option
Wah indo nih ya

I am the fire that burns your skin
I am the water that kills your thirst
the castle, the tower I am
the sword that guards the river flow
You, the air I breath
And the moonlight over the sea
The throat I wish to wet
That I fear to drown with love
And what wishes will you fulfill, oh
You said, my treasure it is enough just looking at it
And yours it will be and yours it will be.
I did it in 2 minutes but it's pretty much the crappy translation I came up with hahah.
This song matches the vibe of the show so well. When I hear it I’m immediately transported to that world.
how ????
XP_ Streaks_ when I hear the introduction I immediately start thinking about the show, the characters, the city, the language, all the bad things that happened. I cannot listen to it without thinking about it.
When you realize that world is real and a lot of the things depicted in the show happened just about 3 decades ago
Stop romanticizing narcos, you wouldn't really wanted to be in "that world" if you knew how awful, cruel, tragic and destructive it was (and still is).
@@emebet810 you sir just misinterpreted the point he was trying to make
People that don't know Spanish might not hear the magical Brazilian Portuguese accent that Amarante has when he sings in Spanish. That for me adds to the magic of the song.
Don Juan Trompeta Johnson Totally agree. I could tell the singer was Brazilian from the getgo. Just like Pablo, whose accent is better, but you can still hear the Portuguese accent. 💞
Ok chill we get the portugués accent, but is not that magical
Me too!
So like Brazilians speak different Spanish?
I speak latin/spanish, and this shit sounds rare, somehow it feels untimely, or the accent it known to be wrong, i think they should pick someone who really talks spanish XD, less problems.
Narcos is the only series I've watched fully and never skipped the intro for. On one occasion my wife started an episode without me, and when I came in almost half way through it, she started it over again for me beginning just after the intro. About a couple minutes in I told her "nah we need to restart it again but with the intro". The song perfectly sets the tone and vibe before beginning each new episode
Música composta e interpretada pelo brasileiro Rodrigo Amarante. Espetacular !!

Pero la cancion esta en español
Soy el fuego que arde tu piel
Soy el agua que mata tu sed
El castillo, la torre yo soy
La espada que guarda el caudal
Tú, el aire que respiro yo
Y la luz de la luna en el mar
La garganta que ansío mojar
Que temo ahogar de amor
Y cuáles deseos me vas a dar, oh
Dices tu, mi tesoro
basta con mirarlo
Y tuyo será, y tuyo será
Tú el aire que respiro yo
Y la luz de la luna en el mar

Que temo ahogar de amor

I am the water that kills your thirst

You’re the air that I breathe
And the moon’s light on the sea
The throat I yearn to wet

This has to be the coldest sounding whistle in a song there is I wish I could sing this and whistle like Rodrigo!
Use 1:28 as the reference point
Thanks to Rodrigo for this beautiful romantic song, it really inspired me. I don't know Spanish, but I know what this song is about: it's about the most important thing in life, about love!
Well. Kind of, I'm a native spanish speaker and even though this song truly sounds relaxing and romantic has lyrics that have some very powerful and violent sexual connotations. The english translations do not give them justice.
My boyfriend is super fan of Narcos and one day he dedicated to me this song, i couldn't believe how beautiful it was so i searched it. Haha, it was a funny surprise the source. I might watch Narcos after this.
Didn't know Amarante was your boyfriend...

Soothing yes, but it's about a show where drug dealers, slaughters, civilian airplanes bombed, corrupt politicians and policemen, etc. All truly very South American
