I dropped out of college in January of 04. This I felt like a loser. My mom being an educator I felt I broke her heart. I was really in a bad place. This album saved my life. I’ve watched the two episodes of the documentary which was the making of TCD. Seeing him with his mom who was also an educator. Brought tears to my eyes. My mother has supported everything I’ve done. Last call is a production masterpiece. Every time something good happens in the story he tells he adds another layer to the production, and every time something bad happens he removes it. This is most prominent at the end when he reveals his deal doesn't go through, the beat crumbles into nothing but is then revived when he gets signed to rock a fella.

College Dropout will always be my favorite Ye album, not just because of the humor but because of the underdog status that bleeds into every track. One of my favorite things about this album college album series is that this music is for the middle class average American. Nearly everyone can relate, but Kanye really tailored it for those folks who have semi normal lives and live every day struggle of just trying to be a person living the best they can with what they are given. It's such a simple concept and yet he was really one of the first rappers to target this specific crowd and it did wonders for him.

@1:04:56 on Family Business when he talks about 'But you ain't have to tell my girl I used to pee in the bed' its a funny line for sure, but it also goes a little deeper. That whole verse is a reference to Ghostface Killah's "All That I Got Is You". That section of the song matches up so perfectly it's like it's a response from the other side of the family.
Ghostface Killah - All That I Got Is You
Check it, fifteen of us in a three bedroom apartment
Roaches everywhere, cousins and aunts was there
Four in the bed, two at the foot, two at the head
I didn't like to sleep with Jon-Jon he peed the bed
    Kanye - Family Business
And you don't wanna stay there 'cause them your worst cousins
Got roaches at their crib like them your first cousins
Act like you ain't took a bath with your cousins
Fit three in the bed while six of y'all

I don’t know if you tally the recommendations and then go from there but I think after the full proper release of Faces by Mac it would be really great to go through.
Debatably his best project as argued by the community from what I’ve seen over the years. Obviously Circles and Swimming would be great to do but I feel Faces would be great to start to do is semi-chronologically like you’re doing Kanye.

I think you should have told your pops that “through the wire” was Kanye’s first ever single. Also that Kanye workout plan was a single that gots lot of radio play. Jesus walks also a single and got tons of radio play. He was on punked on the video set of Jesus walks.... but maybe the most important point was that Kanye was seen by his peers as just a producer. And that they didn’t think his rapping skills were good enough to break through. And how his sound really changed the sound of hip hop to soul sampling. Great video though love introducing people to Kanye who only know his more recent... craziness
