Fein brought the original oscillating tool to market in 1967 as a automotive glass cut out tool, with a unique hook-shaped blade to cut through the butyl compound that was used to set/embed windshields.
@@Brandon-lq3jmthats sounds like an user issue. I bet you they didnt purchase the extra blade that is required for 1/8 grout line and instance used the larger stuff
@@Brandon-lq3jm Sounds like user error. I'm pretty sure your supposed to buy one size down from the measurement actually on the floor. Your blade was probably contacting the tiles and caused cracks through the direct vibration on a rigid surface.
@@Brandon-lq3jm That’s user error, take some ownership. Why did you use the tool if you knew the grout lines were more narrow than what the tool was capable of removing?
No matter what tool you use from electric to hand scrapers, there is a chance to chip tile. With hand scraping it's from pushing too hard then slamming into the adjacent tile. With any kind of electronic tool, hand control and dexterity is everything! Go slow but with a steady, firm hand and you'll be cool!
The grout definitely isn't wet but a razor knife on cement grout does come out as fast. Takes more elbow grease tho. That will definitely chip tile however.
Wow I actually though this guy knew what he was doing, he’s clearly in somebody’s pocket. I’ve never used it before but I’d bet money that it damages 99% of tiles anything polish or square cut edges will chip for sure
Instead of buying a whole tool for one very specific task, can we get a multitool attachment for that task?
There is, I use it all the time
Because they didn't pay him
Diamond cutting wheel
Carbide grout removal attachments have been a thing since Fein came out with the original Multimaster.

😂😂
Sounds like pure hell. Overbid like a mf😝
😂😂
Use a dremel with a diamond grit burr. Whichever size fits your grout line.
Ok now let’s try it on grout that wasn’t just freshly laid…
🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫
I would have thought it would have been pure dust and not chunks
I spent a month (evenings after work) chiseling grout one time. I hope to never need to do it again!
Going through that as we speak. 30 hours in of over 700 ft of grout.
It's like a hammer drill meets an oscillator. Yea that definitely changes things.
Never saw that tool but hands down game changer for sure 🙌 👏 🔥

Definently saves the anxiety of being worried about accidentally chipping a tile with an oscillating multi tool
My first thought 😂
@@leericaltheonly How do you know it can't chip? Also didn't his grout seem awful soft/fresh?
@@ThatsmessedupmanYeah man, that's fresh grout!
Milwaukee multi tool, diamond grit bit, all done
M18 Fuel
just got one
@@nikitagm5015 yup that’s the one
Penny tiles just walked in the room.
I love you trident! Thank you very very much for your support. I’m very appreciate you
Mosaic tiles have entered the battle
Does an edge sanding attachment come with it? You know those edges are questionable now
Love from Ukraine, dude ❤🇺🇦
That's what criminals should have to do when they get sent to prison
Yeah…naw. That grout is relatively fresh. Scraping/removing cured grout makes dust like nobody’s business!
What tool is that and is it just the ruby bit or it's a whole tool
Where can I get one ???
You can get bits for any multi tool aswell. Saves you alot of money
What is this tool called?
I can hear that little bit of hammering action… Giving this an advantage to an oscillating tool.
could you please tell me what's the brand it is?and where to buy it?
Nice if it had a vacuum attachment
That grout is great and soft!! Nice try though bucko
I have a hard time believing it wouldnt chip a tile
It will...
Seen someone mentioned it. Will there be any chance of chipping the tile at all?

What is the model name for the air pressure? I'm more curious about that.
U are so stuuuuu
What do you suggest for pebble stone grout?
Does it chip tile easily?
Hello please where can I find this tool asap. Thank you.
Where can i buy this tool?
Ruby scraper super cool tkx
For anyone wanting to do this please get knee pads
I just borrow my wife's...although she uses 'em for a different type of "work"
Does it work with thin set?
Where did you get the tool from
Ay it’s nice that it doesn’t seem to create an insane amount of dust too
Where can i get the tool
That's how you spreading dust every where 👍
shut up
That grout was still wet! Dry grout doesn’t come out so easy no matter what machine you use

Maybe you never tried an angle grinder with diamond blade
Haters gonna hate
@@antoniogalluccio4213boom, got em!
Problem with this tool is you gp through alot of blades
since when do we use an air chuck to create more dust on a jobsite
I see a lot of chip tiles in your future 😅
I dont need no tool, my cat removes all the grout 😂😂
Where can I buy this ?
Guys would it damage tiles?im thinking ceramic won’t like the vibration
Looks like it will chip the edge of your tile as well
Just don’t chip the tile then lol skilled work can be mastered
what is the model?
Can we try that on epoxy grout
Where do i buy
Would it work the same on a 1/16 grout joint?
I assume there are different size attachments that would work on a 16th
That’s what I’m saying. I do small joints and anything on certain ceramic HAS to chip. Porcelain tile will handle better. Definitely curious
hell ya that saves sooo much time if it works that well
That's bullshit in a tiler that's not how it works also you only done half the job what about the edges?
slava ukraini
If it had a suction like a hoover at the back that would be even better

Yo I see that shirt 👌
Stanley knife and soft brush works just fine
Use a vacuum next time

Yeah of you're not careful of course shit will chip off
Removes grout and f ups the tile at the same time...better have some "extra" tile leftover or "you'll " be buying a new tiled floor
Damn u deduced all that?!
He’s bought off! Working the man.. he doesn’t know what he’s doing!? Shill..
bruh cool your jets! U work construction? 🧐
Nice Ukrainian sweatshirt 🇺🇦🫵🏼💪🏼
will it chip a tile if too gung ho?
Nice sweat-top. 🇺🇦 👍🏻✊🏼
I prefer a shop vac for cleanup.. But that’s just me.
😂
I have Makita Multitool and it’s really good for that
If the same type of blade can be built into the oscillating tool?
They have several different attachments that work just as good on grout. I know for ivd used rigid with triangle attachment on grout removal.
How about using a vacuum to vacuum up the debris instead of blowing it everywhere now! WTF
Great. Now just 3D print a vacuum cleaner nozzle attachment and make it pull-not push-and you’re onto a winner.
just check is there any oscillator extension do the job...there is not point buying another machine even you need a plug like 90s
There's a tool for EVERYTHING !!!!!!
You ever see something that would’ve changed your life 5 years ago. But now it just makes you feel sad and full of regret?
Its just a one trick oscillating tool just buy a oscillating tool and attachments

I have a cordless oscillating tool that does the same thing
you mean like a multi-tool? i have one too (milwaukee) that I used a dremel grout remover head for and it was no where near as fast as this

I have the blade for oscillating tool and I use the manual scraper for grout the most because the blades are cheaper
Try that on 20 year old grout.
And chip your tile😂

Hold an oscillating tool the correct way and it does a perfect job. Just sayin!!!
Bro, thats fresh grout! Don't be one of those kind of youtubers!
