I think clark's line about "santa wrapped them" is less that he believes in santa, and more that he feels pretending santa is responsible for gifts is part of the fun of the holiday. That said, my theory is that Santa DOES exists in the DCAU but has some kind of memory wipe effect, where people who do see him have little to no memory of the experience. Superman and some other superheroes could probably get away with fuzzy memories, but most people just assume he doesn't exist. Batman knows Santa exists, but it's because he figured all this out for himself.
Batman shielding his eyes from Santa knowing if he sees him his knowledge will be erased making him think he was drunk when he wrote the articles. Batman prepping anti-antimeme glasses to finally see Santa
It would have definitely been hilarious for Batman to just offhandedly mention at some point how he knows Santa Claus is real and everyone else is just like, "Uh, what?"
Pretty bold (and brave) of you to assume that J'ohn isn't Santa. Super-speed; super strength; and shape shifting would get him down those chimneys pretty handily. Explains the cookies and milk fixation too.
I'm still confused as to whether or not the Martian Manhunter really has a subtle weakness against fire. After all, there are a lot of times where he got attacked by it over the course of JL+JLU.
@@michaelandreipalon359 as i understand it he has a psychological weakness to it after the imperium war that when it catches him off guard his PTSD and shape shifting combine to make him physically weak to it but when there is just too much to focus on or he is ready for it so he can resist the ingrained panic he resists the flames just fine
I know it's a different canon, but I love the recent comics they did where they retroactively made it canon that Santa Clause was one of the masters Bruce trained under while traveling the world
Regardless, if Santa exists in the DCAU, I find it so wholesome that Clark would still believe in Santa Claus. Not only does it kind of make sense since he seen so much crazy stuff that the idea of a guy in a red suit flying around the world in one night isn’t that shocking? (I mean he’s literally on a team with a guy in a red suit who can run around the world with a minute.) but it also just adds another a level of wholesomeness to this version of Superman. Despite all of his power, he still a kind/innocent kid at heart.
Okay but technically isn’t every version of Darkseid the same Darkseid because of weird multiverse stuff? By that logic, technically, the Darkseid who meets Santa is the same Darkseid of the DCAU. Mostly joking with this reasoning but the idea that Santa hand delivers a lump of coal to Darkseid every year and Darkseid can’t keep him out of Apokalypse no matter what will always be canon in every DC universe to me
Well then technically Santa would probably reside within the sphere of gods so he would have his festive tendrils in all universes. Alternatively if he isn’t a god he could access the multiverse via apocalypse
Well it's more of a "Every Darkseid is a piece of the same greater whole." (it'd be hilarious for the Super Friends Darkseid to be the same one who became a Death Avatar in one of the Dark Multiverse What Ifs) That said there Is a character that is the same in every universe, and is uber powerful, good old Myxi. In that Rebirth Issue (I think it was around that time) where Pre Flashpoint and Post Flashpoint Superman merge into one character, Myxi reveals he's the same imp from every appearance ever even down to the Lego Games, so Santa genuinely could be him or another 5th Dimensional Imp which is how he could so easily not only deliver presents to kids around the world in one night, but All Kids in Every Universe in one incomprehensible period of multlayered time.
Harvey as Santa in Holiday Knights is one of my favorite molments from Bullock from the entire show, because while Bullock is his ushual self, I mean the bit where bullock tells the kid "wanna see my gun" never fails to make me laugh, the part where bullock speaks with Mary was really sweet and it showed his kinder side.

18:30 the absolute SASS for Santa to pull out his naughty nice list to check if Darksied of all people is naughty or nice, spectacles and all is so perfect
I would honestly love if Clark might actually believe in Santa 100% for real without any irony. Like, the concept of one of the most powerful beings in the universe still having a bit of that childhood wonder with Santa is both really funny and honestly cute too lol it also fits Clark very well as a character if you ask me.
I am still baffled at the idea of Santa clause going to apokalypse apocalypse apokalypse, each year to give Darkseid his yearly lump of coal I just love the idea that every single Darkseid in DC as a whole just gets his Christmas lump of coal, each and every darkseid
In my opinion, there’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Santa Claus exists in the DCAU. I mean, if that universe can have supernatural magic users, aliens, and several gods just casually existing, why can’t Santa Claus ?
I honestly think it’s hilarious that Santa is an unknown, even in the DCAU. Like, Santa is so much more skilled than every superhero that even Superman doesn’t know for sure if he’s real.
The fact that Santa always gives freaking DARKSEID coal every year even when Darkseid makes the defenses stronger every time has gotta be up there with my favorite DC fun facts, it’s so great
So, if Ty Templeton is the Santa Claus I'm going to be asking something from, then I want more Red Hood/ Jason Todd in the DCAU, more specifically an interaction between Jason and the rest of the Batfamily after the events portrayed in the flashback in the Return of the Joker, like there's so much potential there, like him comforting Batgirl, getting in a fight with Batman, and more importantly have Jason try to help Tim get through his trauma and PTSD, which makes sense since Jason and Tim are pretty close in the mainstream continuity of the comics, and side note, since Joker's legacy inspired the Jokerz gang in Batman Beyond, it would be nice to see a Red Hood inspired gang that opposes them.
All I want for (insert celebrated winter holiday here) is more comics. It's my favorite storytelling medium and I guess I'm pretty lucky to have an animated universe that clearly loves them as much as I do. And pretty lucky to have a channel that loves these shows like I do too

Also it’s perfectly fine to say that Santa is out there in the DCAU somewhere and I stand behind you with that theory. This was truly an amazing and incredible examination of the holiday specials and other memorable Dc holiday season stories! Truly marvelous! One of your best videos ever!
My favorite winter holiday is Kwanzaa and for a present I’d just legitimately love it if we could collectively get along and help one another out a lot more this year as opposed to, you know, killing each other.
6:35 I think that AMAZO is Santa. He could use Flash's Speed to Time Travel to the distant Past and use the Manhunter's shapeshifting to look like Santa does.
There isn't much I really want or need for Christmas honestly. Though if I had to ask for anything, it'd probably be a dvd set for the series Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger, the original Japanese series that became Power Rangers Dino Thunder. I got to talk to the actor who played the black ranger in Japanese and he gave me some words of encouragement that have been a big comfort to me, so I'd love to watch the original show and support the official release.
Without going into detail, our family has suffered a few losses leading up to the holidays, and another looming into the not so distant future. I gotta say, when I sit in my office late at night, surrounded by wonderful toys and comics and movies, I know these things mean nothing if you can't share the love with people. Channels like this facilitate that love, but in the end, the people who showed us these things, made these things, and the people who will continue this custodial act of preserving love mean so much more. So all I could ever want for the holidays is the people who are still in my life to be around as long as they can be to (directly or indirectly) share my love and happiness. And to those that can no longer be here, I wish for them a peaceful adventure in the hereafter with the knowledge I love and miss them.

I like to think the reason Clark reacted like that to the Santa thing is because he's MET Santa, like think about it Clark has his base in the Artic, and has seen his fair share of crazy ass shit, so it isnt too crazy to think that maybe he met Santa Claus at some point while building the fortress of solitude or at some other point when he happened to be there, hell maybe Supes helped Santa save Christmas or something during his career so far 🤣🤣🤣
I personally believe that Santa does exist in the DCAU, because Clark making that note about Santa wrapping the gifts in lead could very much lead to the belief that hey, the fortress of solitude is in the Arctic, maybe Santa is just a friendly neighbour?
I'm crossing my fingers for volumes 1 & 2 of "Murdle," the book version of an online daily logic game I've been mildly addicted to for several months. Also in terms of DVDs, the "Super Sentai" season that became "Dino Thunder," and "Digimon Frontier," my third favorite season after "Adventure" and "Tamers." BTW, you ever think that at the Templeton household at Thanksgiving, Ty's family breaks into a rousing chorus of "Smorgasbord" from the '70s animated "Charlotte's Web?" If ya know, ya know...
"But have you watched Teen Titans Go?" Yes, for less than 60 seconds, and hated every milisecond of it. And I was actually excited for it when it was announced.

It says "Crunchy."
Well, nuts! I was going to make a "real Santa we made along the way" joke, but you beat me to it.
"But have you watched Teen Titans Go?"
Yes, for less than 60 seconds, and hated every milisecond of it. And I was actually excited for it when it was announced.
Fun video and very touching at the end! I consider Santa canon to all versions of the Multiverse myself, all those crazy beings running around how could he not be real? For Christmas I want tickets to take my wife to see Beetlejuice the Musical! What about you guys at the Watchtower?
For Christmas, I want Merry Little Batman to be really fun and heartwarming so I can work it into the family Christmas movie rotation
The cookies may have been intended for Santa, but since they were clearly Chocos, they automatically default to being for J'onn...
Great video, I'm definitely going back to check out that multiverse vid. One another note, I think a video exploring some of the past and present DCAU merch (mainly display figures ) would be a cool idea for a vid.
Batman really trained with Santa
For my insert winter holiday, I want an hour long extended cut of comfort and joy.
It's just 38 more minutes of J'onn singing
For Christmas I'd probably want the new adventures scarecrow figure. Great video I really enjoyed it!
I mean Superman is basically neighbours with Santa because the Fortress of Solitude is in and around the North Pole.
Ty being Santa is now forever canon to me.
A little secret; Santa exists in every universe. Even if he doesn't show himself. He even helped out the power rangers multiple times. lol
All I want is to have my friends happy and healthy for the next decade for Christmas
What I want for Christmas is some time off so I can read comics, draw, and just relax
Once again, awesome video guys! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the team and the rest of the Watchtower Community as well!🎄🎅🎁☃️🌟
Al tho it's funny Santa gives Darkside a lump of coul each year, he should probably use that trip to give mister Miracle a present
I'd like to see Flash & his "Imaginary Friend" Krakkl finally meet Sonic The Hedgehog.
bro I had to shake my head, close my eyes, and make donald duck noises during the smallville part cause I hadn't seen it yet.🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Watchtower database I really want to read some Jingle Bell comics now 😂😂😂😂 this video just really put me in the Christmas spirit even more so then I already was !
For Christmas i would love to see what Santa gets for the man who has everything, im sure it's not the black mercy or cash
All I want for Christmas is a DCAU Harley and Ivy ongoing book and/or movie.
Superman believing in Santa gives me the same vibe as Zac's character from unsleeping City (dimension 20) Santa is such a good person it'd be weird if he wasn't real
all i want for (insert celebrated winter holiday here) is the Sandman Mystery Theatre Compendium, truly an underrated series that's impossible to find so that's the best way to have a chunk of it
The only thing that I want for Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanza or Krampusnack etc…is to wish Mr. Templeton, Timm, Dini, Burnett, Murakami, everyone else who worked on this beautiful universe and all the people at the Watchtower Database a Happy Holidays and Thank You for all the wonderful gifts you’ve given not only us fans but to people all over the world.
Im sad this is the last video of the year but im looking forward to the bangers next year!
all i want for christmas is that batman who laughs figurine and one of those green cookies
4:10 “Have you watched Teen Titans GO”
No, and I’d prefer to keep it that way
It's actually pretty fun!
@@dcauwatchtower I mean I might check out the movie one day because I’ve heard that was pretty good but if I want to watch a Teen Titans show, I’d prefer to keep it to the OG show
I read the thumbnail and heard Zod's voice immediately. 😂
Maybe the the 1940s Batmobile in hot wheel form. Or some more casting info for Brave and the Bold. Anyway great video and thank you Santa/Ty
14:32 rip MySpace
I get out of work and see a new wtdb video. Guess this is my reward for being good this christmas. Great stuff guys
All I want for [unspecified winter holiday celebration] is an indisputable chronologically accurate viewing order for BTAS 😁
Hey, you won the giveaway! 😃 Please send us an email to thewatchtowerdatabase @ gmail so we can chat what to do next! (PS. If you see ANY other "Watchtower Database" interacting with you about a giveaway, please ignore it--it's spam!)
Got to say Clark’s line “you mean Santa wrapped them” never made sense to me. Like, ALL his presents weren’t supposedly “from Santa” were they? His parents surly still got him presents FROM them.
Lovely, December episode. Merry Christmas Watchtower.
I would like to receive a grey wide-brim wool fedora, with a thick black band, to match a couple grey suits I wear frequently, so that I can look like one of the characters from BTAS, all the time!
1:07
He also murdered Bruce Wayne's parents.
For insert celebrated winter holiday here, I'm hoping for some TPBs of Tynion's new horror comics, I've been getting more into non-DCMarvel and I love his stuff
I really want a video on neo gotham's urban planning.
I mean, we SEE elevators as public transit and public parks all the way up to level 42...
For Christmas I would love a complete set of DCAU action figures. I don't know where I would display them since I have no room, but I would find a place and then spend hours upon hours smiling at them. Merry Christmas!
Earth-12 is also the Earth of My Adventures With Superman, at least according to the League of Lois Lanes.
All I want for Christmas is snow. We’ve been getting way too little of it where I live and it’s driving me crazy
Great video. I love that you read that Darkseid story. It's funny to see Darkseid devote that much work to stopping Santa. What I want for Christmas are more DCAU comics from the likes of Mr. Templeton.
Comic drake did a similar video on the comic version of Santa and this is equally good too
Happy holidays everyone including the watchtower database crew
Thank you for the Christmas present I didn't know that I wanted. Your video was funny and heartwarming.
This is my favorite WD episode yet!! Keep it up, and Merry Christmas!! 🎄
I just want to believe that Supermen believed that Santa was real
What do I want for Christmas? Batman and Wonder Woman getting each other gifts. Everyone always gets Clark stuff.
But, I like to think that Santa exists in the DCAU, he's just got more important things than visiting the Kents these days...
I click on a video expecting a deep dive on the exisyence of santa and get to witness a love letter to an artist who was a huge part of my childhood.
I fucking love this channel
i never knew that santa had a CHANCE of being of being in the dceu. great video!!
If I remember right I did see Santa Claus in the Justice League episode I think it was on alien planet with John Stewart and Hawkgirl talking to each other
What do I want for Christmas? An in canon comic (but preferably cartoon) bridging the gap between the end of JLU and the beginning of Batman Beyond. There's so much there
If you want the fan version, we've got legaciesdcau.com ;)
This holiday, i want the family to have a great time. Im getting as many relatives as i can together for a huge thing at our place, some we haven't seen since just before Covid. Happy holidays to you folks too!
Since you asked.... yes. I want a "will it canon?" episode on the holiday stop motion universe. I would unironically eat that up faster than Yukon could strike Peppermint.
Is there something better than a fresh Watchtower Database video?
Didn't think so.
