I love Saturdays because I get to spend some time with Jackie learning new ways to make marks and create fantastic colors. That tangerine is awesome! 😍
Thank you so much Jackie I really really enjoyed watching you create all those wonderful and inspiring backgrounds. I love ❤️ ❤❤❤ them all. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
What a beautiful subtle spring colored Sunday morning 💞while in Germany we´re working our way towards autumn. We had lots of weeks now with "African" temperatures. Dear Jackie 🥰, your video shows a wonderful way to change mood and inner temperature. And the way you use all the different tools and see how they work and what structures they make on the paper, was really motivating. I would adopt 😂each paper to one of my journals. There is so much to notice and worth to remember in this video. Besides using many different tools, as I mentioned already, it shows the benefit of working on many papers at the same time to watch variety in the making. On top of it, I noticed - as I said - the change of mood the color palette caused in my feeling. So if I imagined to use autumn colors, winter colors ... So many options and varieties. A big, enthusiastic hug from Britta (you can tell from the quality of my comment, that I am feeling much better already, thank God) 😘😍🥰
Britta, I am so happy you are feeling better! September is always the hottest month of the year in Southern California. We had a heat wave last week and I was too hot to think of the colors of autumn. 😂 I'm always so happy when you enjoy the videos, Britta. 🥰
@@geridegruy6070 plus, ABM doesn't get so sticky. I find glazing medium difficult when building lots of layers because at a certain point it goes tacky, and you need to wait for it to dry, otherwise the paint comes off again.
These turned out beautifully. But I am totally astounded by that combo of green-gold and blushing pink! That gorgeous deep orange colour is just stunning!
You had mentioned before that you had been a decorative painter. I would love any and all of these paintings covering a whole wall. Hmmm, you’re giving me ideas….
So pretty colors 😍👏 and a great idea to film everything 😊 we are way in to the fall here in Arctic Norway so Im rather going in the earth colors 😊 well anyway, have a wonderful week 🥰 lots of love 🥰🍀🌼🌸
Thank you for sharing your process with us today, Jackie! All of these papers turned out beautifully! You've inspired me to paint today, so hopefully I will find some time to do just that!
Looks like an awesome start to your newest project, Jackie! Always fun watching you using different tools and creating wonderful effects 🩷! Aloha from Berlin ❤️🧡💛💚💜
A video like this is like being in the studio beside you. I have done two journal pages using a spatula, an old gift card & I had the same experience you described. My hand was looser & I got brilliant results. Green Gold is on my wishlist. Look forward to seeing the project 😊 I loved the intro picture with those bright papers hanging up. My Rex Ray book has arrived and I'm in love 😊
Are you using the color cube and do you find it easy to mix up those colors? Maybe a 2 videos on the easiest color swatches to use for both out of tube colors and minimal mixing ?
I love watching you work Jackie and you always seem so happy, it's uplifting. I'd love to see some of your work in which you use some of your gorgeous papers that you create. Is there a link or a website that shows your finished pieces if art?
Hi Lesley! Thank you very much for your kind words. The website is being worked on right now, and should be up and running by mid-October. There are several videos here that show what I do with the papers, like this one: ruclips.net/video/ucsbqvets2Q/видео.html and this one ruclips.net/video/ReblW7v9nXE/видео.html
Hi there Jackie, I recognise that type of brush as I have a few myself, it's a synthetic pointed sash, not able to see the make, but I have two makes, some are called Cling on and the others are from Staalmeester. I actually use mine when I'm upcyclying furniture swell. Again, not sure the make of yours as I'm in the UK. Great video as always, thank you Regards Elizabeth x
I love tech era bcuz we can even take a photo of art and doodle on the image to do more ideas before say dropping black ink markings on them before committing
Very pretty❤ I’ve told a few people this but you might believe me after your tangerine experience😁 I have mixed Golden Fluid Quin Magenta with the fluid green gold and created a very good likeness to Nickel Azo gold…give it a go 😁
@@PaintedPaperStudio I’d like to know what you think. I remember I did it accidentally years ago and thought I’d cracked how it was made but when I looked at the pigment info I realised I was wrong but I have always remembered it luckily! I haven’t tried it since so I hope my memory is good! 😂
Hey Jackie! Beautiful gentle backgrounds! Can't wait to see what you'll do with them. I've been also creating a lot of abstract work in my channel. Please come take a look. Have a lovely time!
Thank you so very much for sharing your processes and lovely spirit with us❤. This is totally unrelated to your current video, I have been using your wet paper technique instead of wet glue, I have used glue sticks with very good results. This is a lot less wet and drys a bit faster.
@PaintedPaperStudio well you share with me why wouldn't I share with you lol. Really ty for letting me watch paint dry with you and for your wonderful suggestions 😊
I love Saturdays because I get to spend some time with Jackie learning new ways to make marks and create fantastic colors. That tangerine is awesome! 😍
You are the sweetest, Trina! I can totally see a tiny bit of that tangerine showing up in one of your pieces. 😍

Thanks for the tip about air brush mediium. I usually use glazing medium but ABM sounds better since it doesn't dilute the color.
@@geridegruy6070 plus, ABM doesn't get so sticky.
I find glazing medium difficult when building lots of layers because at a certain point it goes tacky, and you need to wait for it to dry, otherwise the paint comes off again.
If you get it, you'll find a million ways to use it 🥰
I love the stuff.
I often use it to turn heavy body into soft body or fluid paint. @@PaintedPaperStudio
I so love these colors and the layering❣️❣️❣️

I mixed Golden's green gold with Pebeo fluorescent pink and it gave me a warm, bright ... golden yellow!! A bit like turmeric.
Oh my! That sounds fantastic and makes me want to run into the studio right now! 🥰
