Dear Jackie, with this I declare you a most gifted modern art-witch. What you do with paper and colour seems pure magic. And the bonus is your joy and smile about the results - especially the unplanned. It´s so much fun to watch you, even if I don´t have the same colours to try out, what you showed. It simply doesn´t matter. Have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy, colourful 2024. I love, what you do. XO Britta
What an incredibly lovely comment, Britta. I don't think I've ever been called a "modern art-witch" but I like it 😂 Please do try out the textures with whatever colors you have, I'm sure you will love the process! 🥰
Thank you Jackie for another enriching creative session 🙏🏻 As well as your skill and pushing the boundaries of experimenting, the main quality you demonstrate is the fun you are having in all your videos 🤩 Inspiring and takes the pressure off what the end result may turn out to be 😍🤗😍
Thank you, Andrea! That is a primary goal of mine - to help others take the pressure off themselves. Creativity is meant to evoke a lot of things, but pressure isn't one of them. Always glad to see you here. 🥰
Fabulous video, I love watching your process, your excitement and joy are contagious. What paper do you use for the painted papers? Thanks so much for sharing Jackie I look forward to trying some of these with the art supplies I have.Lorraine from Ireland❤
Hey Lorraine - you've been busy watching some videos 😍 For this video I only used two papers. Copy paper - it may be called something different in Ireland - it's the paper you use when you want to print a document. The other paper is newsprint - literally the paper newspapers use to print on. Have fun playing with your supplies! 🥰
You're right, Sue - Archie does rule this roost, and at 13, when he starts yelling, I start moving 😂. He's half love bug/half codger these days! I really appreciate you being here and sharing such kind words. I'm glad we've connected. 🥰
You're truly a master magician, Jackie 🤩! This art session was keeping me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Fell in love with the blue bubble wrap paper right away, but when you applied the molding paste using the "bubble stencil" the result was so exciting! Looked like the wings of an angel. They would be such a nice collage piece. Maybe with Cutie Archie's photo 🐕💗😀? Thank you for not cutting out his urgent request barking! Aloha from Berlin ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Queen - you are so sweet - and Archie appreciated your comment. 🥰 I agree, the texture did resemble angel wings. "Magician" is a new one, but I like it 😜
Wide awake at 5 am so just watched this with my early morning tea to hand. Fabulous papers and I love to see the joy on your face! I can't wait to try some of those techniques. Thank you for sharing
Love this. Great ideas. It wasn't until the end with the. Closeups that I could actuly see the texture you created. Any way to keep the camera zoomed in? ❤
Hello Jean - thank you so much for watching. I haven't figured out how to do close up work with the gear I have without hitting my head on the camera. At some point I hope to upgrade my equipment and eliminate that problem. Thank you for being here. 🥰
Amazing! The textures you have been able to create are beautiful. I don't have all of the exact paints you used but I will try with what I have and try for similar results.
That's the best part, Julie - you don't really need to use what I used. The technique remains the same if you make the adjustments. Give it a try and let me know how it works with what you've got 🥰
Thank you, Nina! Yes, for these textures I just used normal copy paper, but the longer legal size. The one exception was the "offload" paper with the silvery blue textured finish - that was on newsprint paper. 💜
Hi Chantal! I think the color you are referring to is Paynes Grey - it's been quite a while since I made that video. However, I just checked and all the supplies are listed in the description, they are pretty far down, so you might need to scroll for a bit. Thank you so much for being here! 🥰
Great question, Valerie! Airbrush medium is a super thin medium - really a very similar weight as water. It's designed to be used to thin down acrylic paints without impacting the integrity of the paint. Pouring medium is a much heartier medium - quite viscous, and it's designed to move/flow the paints easily and keep the acrylics wet for a longer time. I hope that helps.
Hi, Reblord - I used legal sized copy paper and newsprint in this video. both are listed in the supplies section of the description if you want to know the exact brands I use. 😃

Love the gel medium to “fix” the alcohol patterning. Can you use this same technique to fix watercolor painted paper?
You sure can! 🥰
Amazing! The textures you have been able to create are beautiful. I don't have all of the exact paints you used but I will try with what I have and try for similar results.

Hi Jakie I cant find the list of materials, can you put the link again ? Regards from México
Beautiful! What kind of blue did you use for the « wintery” blue paper? I can’t find the supplie list in the description.

What is the difference between air brush medium and pouring medium?
Great question, Valerie! Airbrush medium is a super thin medium - really a very similar weight as water.
