All 50 states done, that's a crazy milestone. Congratulations guys, crazy to think I've been watching since the first flat lol. Can't wait to see what's next.
I had a great experience with Enterprise truck when my truck was in the body shop and needed a truck to pull my camper to Tennessee. They worked with my insurance and I only had to pay the difference between the daily insurance allowance and the rental fee, with unlimited miles.
It says a lot about your character, when you sell a rig like that and you fix everything and put a personal touch on it, If I ever buy another RV I hope it’s from somebody like you. I have great respect for you.
23:25 When I am talking to friends about entering the world of RVing, I give them this saying to live by, "RVs come from the factory broken. They are constantly in need of repair. If that's a problem for you, don't buy an RV. Repairing the RV is just part of the adventure."
We were just starting our 2 week vacation, my wife and 2 kids with our 34’ Forest river I wish I could be as positive about truck enterprise. I tried to do the same thing 6 months ago in Virginia and they told me it would be close to $4500. 1 ton truck for one week, unlimited miles. I thought it was insain and ridiculous. I’m glad you had better luck. In the end we had great help from a local mechanic shop that got us back on the road and we salvaged our vacation. We will definitely have memories of that trip.
The beginning of our RV journey began with Enterprise truck rental. Learned the differences between the big three trucks over the course of 5 trips at minimal cost. Was glad to have my own truck after these try-before you buy rentals.
Interesting idea. The only drawback is they seem to be base model. This Sierra was hard to compare to my truck because it rode like a truck, but I don't think that was because it was a GMC, but rather base model, cloth seats, etc.
@@KeepYourDaydream Very true. The base models really "encouraged" me to move up to a higher trim. I have a 2018 Ford F250 Plati like you. I have enjoyed your vids on upgrades and improvements. Glad you are keeping this truck and will look forward to future truck content.
We also started out renting a truck and it's financially not bad,it ended when I was following my friend towing my camper and he got so close to the concrete median on a highway and I said I need my own truck now.
@@jasonhoadley2612 I used my son-in-law's 1500 Silverado one time to tow our 34' TT. That was a one and done. The trailer was totally wagging the truck and the low power to weight ratio was real and sweat producing.
I am not surprised you had a great Enterprise Experience. As a young Marine in the early 80s, I rented from Enterprise at 29 Palms MCAGCC, CA. Jack Taylor, a former Naval Aviator, started the company and made sure he had locations convenient to military bases. While I have not rented ¾ ton (2500) trucks, I have rented several ½ ton (1500) trucks and my mileage was unlimited. Thanks for all the Years and Miles. Semper Fi
We were on the way with our 5th wheel to a campground 3 hours from home when friends of ours called they blew up their truck pulling their 40' 5th wheel home. Turns out it they were just down the road from the campground we were going to. We dropped our camper and went and found them on the side of the road. Their truck had already been towed to a shop. I got them hooked up to my truck and they headed home. They brought my truck back to me the next day. Worked out perfectly.
You guys have a way of making even the most mundane things in life seem like an adventure. I have a predilection for the videos in which you're going out and exploring the world, but it takes a lot of planning, energy, and maintenance to explore (especially when sharing that with RUclips), and you guys even make engaging videos about the minutia.
Wow, all these years, and all these RV systems your family has owned! And Caleb is off to college now! What a wonderful adventure you have shared with us! Thanking You So Much!
About 2 weeks before a planned two week trip, my husband had a accident in our tow vehicle, and Enterprise saved the day! We also had planned to help tow a U-Haul for our son, who was moving. So, we ended up renting the truck for a month! Customer service was excellent at the Birmingham, AL location, too! They really saved the day for us!
Do you know what your rate ending up being for the month? Or on the daily breakdown? We're weighing whether to do two one week rentals coming up or put 3k into our suv so it can tow our tt. I can't tell if they ended up paying $440 for just two days rental? Or if that rate was for a longer period of time. My current reservation quote from enterprise seems reasonable but I still have time to do the work to my car as opposed to going to pick up the rental and finding out the actual cost will be double the quote
Enterprise Truck will almost always wave the mileage. Sometimes they will ask how far you are going and adjust accordingly. If they don’t, just act a little confused and say “wow, that mileage is going to add up! Maybe I should consider Hertz or Penske?”. Works every time.
So true about the storage in the flying cloud. We have an International Sugnature and it has the windows like the globetrotter. While the windows and light are wonderful, we don't have nearly as much storage.
I’m highly interested in your refrigerator replacement idea. We have a new 2024 International and our doors came flying off. The latch system is lousy. I want a frig with a more positive latch.
24:00 definitely enjoy the technical side. Rented a bumper pull for a 1 month trip (dakotas yellowstone ect) felt totally comfortable fixing things as they came up on the rental.
Rented an truck this past summer. Our 1 ton Ford broke down in Bend, OR, and repairs would take a least a week. We were towing our RV to Crescent City, CA, for a family reunion. Lucky for us, Bend had an Enterprise truck rental office, and we're able to make it to the reunion.
man what a journey we had! I am following from the 2nd upload on the channel. I have seen the kids grow up, leave the nest, and still hope to keep watching many more adventures. I off course took my KYD hat with me when I went to the USA last September. (coming from the Netherlands). Greetings!
Wonderful! We did a similar complete do-up when we sold our long time home. But I didn't see the answer to the burning question. Did you fix the step into the rig?
Enterprise Truck Rental works different from Enterprise Car Rental but the common denominator is managers can have quite lot of latitude for customer satisfaction. Their performance is rated with customer satisfaction. You didn’t mention if the rental included the hitch and distribution bars. Nice to see you made the Airstream right for the next owner. Thank you for sharing and have a great day.
I worked in Car Rental, people do not realize the fine print in the Car Insurance or Credit Card and what is and not covered. I have had to deliver some really bad news to people in the past after they totaled a rental.
I was contemplating a month long rental to limit wear & tear on our tow vehicle but all the find print adds up. Some Enterprise vehicles have a $25/day towing charge atop the other fees.
The fresh water connection leaked in my 2012 international as well, I fixed it by removing the check valve diaphragm. When I needed to run the fresh water off of the pump, I would just screw the cap on. I think leaks happen at that connection point from water hammer, just a few drops every time a faucet/shower is used.
Enterprise Truck Rental is a workable solution. I had to use them once when my truck broke down and I had just traded for a travel trailer about 150 miles away. That said, the Enterprise work trucks certainly ain’t your Platinum Edition F250, huh?
We have a 2006 23’ R-Vision travel trailer and the storage is amazing. Granted, we now think it needs a new floor. Gotta find out where it is leaking. But I love the layout and the storage. Love the Uh-oh at the end of the video.
We rented a truck from the Phoenix/Deer Valley location to run up to Frenso, CA and back and had a great experience too! They also gave us unlimited miles to help lower the cost. We got the Super Duty though 😛
So nice to hear that Enterprise customer service exceeded your expectations! Nice of you to share. So many suppliers are so lacking these days that it’s good to know there is still hope! Can’t wait to see how the new rig works out. I’m still looking at Bluebird listings because of you guys!
Put me on the list RIGHT NOW for when you decide to sell this rig and get another new one! "Rivets tell a story?" Vinnie must be a riot on a Saturday night!
Another tip for renting a vehicle. Dress nice. I got upgraded for free when renting a car. I was dressed neat , casual and waiting to finish the paperwork when a family walked in to do theirs, and lets just say they looked like they hadn't showed or washed their clothes in days. The kids were crazy. I got what I believe was their beautiful sedan, not the little car I thought I was going to get. Yeh!
Thanks for sharing love the fridge review reminds me of cottage rental in Grand Bend Ontario great beach but 5 guys rented cottage every summer for 3 months and they did that with the fridge but all the shelves had beer the girls brought the food was a great time in the 70s and early eighties and the guys are still best of friends all the years later gather twice a year and have dinner and annual golf tournament in memory of one that that passed away way too young !Hope those boys create memories and life time friendships !
Work a little, play a little...the balance with which you both seem to manage so well in your lives is inspirational. That you are real, down to earth folks who seem to enjoy sharing in an enlightening and entertaining way is what keeps me coming back. Your humanity is endearing. 🙂
As usual your videos are very informative. I bought a new 2022 Bambi 22 ft and we used it an about 4 times when I noticed dark discoloration randomly in the flooring. Turned out it was caused by a water leak that took 3 trips to the local dealer to fix. They took everything out of the trailer to replace the Lino and then put it back in. I am not sure after all that work if they replaced the plastic elbows in the shower as you mentioned. Turns out it was also the shower that had the water leak, I believe direct from the factory. Time to check the shower valve to see if I still have plastic connectors. On the plus side Airstream stood behind their product and paid all the bills to fix the problem.
I spoke to Enterprise Truck Rental in NJ and they said absolutely now one-way drops and $0.69/mile after 1,000 miles. Glad it worked for you guys. You definitely scored with your experience.

I am so excited! My wife and I are saving for a down payment on our first rig! We are going to be living in it full time. It will be awhile before we get to travel across the country in it but still exciting nonetheless
You know, tow vehicles come and go, but saying goodby to a rig and the memories it holds is always something hard to do. Welcome in the new, take all those collected memories with you, and dream; where shall we go. To each, we travel different, some by the tic of a clock, and some by the miles as markers, and some by the moonlight, guided only by stars; but they all have something in common; and that is with each click, something new to dream, something new to see.... and we all have time on our side. ❤
My wife wants to know how you collected all of Charlie’s fur from the camper bc that breed sheds worse than any other we’ve ever owned. 😊 Our truck, house and camper are full of Tucker fragments 😂
I’m getting a little sentimental 😢 Paul and Pam are so lucky that you left your KYD sign, that’s like having a signed album from Elvis ❤ I know one thing, I’m going to start wearing a KYD hat everywhere so I get good deals, when they ask I’ll just casually say, “yeah, I’m Marc’s sister, I run the show” haha Great to see Carson, I hope he is doing well and y’all had a great time with him !!! Blessings
Thanks for sharing what you all got fixed on the rig, including the water heater flame air adjustment. We live in Colorado (bought our rig last year in California) and thankfully haven't had issues with this yet, but storing this information away for in case we do one day. Also did you have to remove everything in the rig and replace the wood underneath the vinyl too or just what was damaged? Our rig (16 foot Bambi Sport) supposedly had some of flooring redone year before we bought it by Orange County Airstream, but we've found evidence of damage still under sink, including where they covered it with new laminate (which goes under sink/fridge/stove cabinet area). So we're now wondering what did they actually do...... Or not do in this case. For the damage is old and not seeing any new moisture or leaks where the damage is under sink cabinet. Thanks for the information in the video.
Congratulations on the new rig!!! I’ve been curious what ever happened to the Hensley? You guys seemed to really be happy with it did you find you don’t need in on the airstream(s)?
All 50 states done, that's a crazy milestone. Congratulations guys, crazy to think I've been watching since the first flat lol. Can't wait to see what's next.
Thanks. You've been here for a long time. We appreciate that Kevin!
Oh Dear…I feel like crying 😢 for some reason! With every dog that leaves, every child that leaves, every rig that leaves…I 😭. ❤😊

Forget renting one of those trucks... BUY ONE! Best truck I've ever owned.

I’ve used Enterprise often and have always had good service. Never rented a truck though, just cars & vans.
I used to use Enterprise until Hertz offered the ability to just pick a car, get in and drive away! It's so nice.
Marc Great Info. I also never knew the trick on the propane air, gas mixture. Thanks so lmuch. you are a wealth of knowledge
Me too. Such a simple adjustment.
Thank you for your details on the truck rental. Literally realized this was a thing just this weekend! So timely and helpful! We’ve always found enterprise car rental to be excellent. It’s good to hear their truck rental service is just as good.

Hope yall have as much fun in your new trailer as you did in your old one have a blessed and safe week!

I always get sad when I give us a vehicle or a camper I have loved. I can really feel for you
I believe that Enterprise is employee owned & it’s been my experience with them that they are a little more attentive to customer service.
It would seem so!
You all did good on the camper you sold. Blessings
and the adventures continue thank God. Love all your videos so much just makes you feel good inside to watch.
Hello KYD family! Happy Sunday!
Did I get a glimpse of my man Gary. It’s a good day. Safe travels
He loved that wash. We need to get him a new rocket in the museum.

You could put a sanitation strip on the front door ,its soo clean! Lucky people who get used buy from you!
A really great video; don't know why. Maybe the tech aspects; maybe the excitement. Or maybe, I just love it when a plan comes together.
Thanks. This was such a tight schedule. Vinnie's team are committed professionals. Fun to work with.
Wonderful episode!!! Thank you for sharing! We are looking forward to the new rig! God Bless!
I am so excited! My wife and I are saving for a down payment on our first rig! We are going to be living in it full time. It will be awhile before we get to travel across the country in it but still exciting nonetheless
Keep it up!
Enterprise has always been great for me.
Did the new owners buy a nice air ride hitch as well?
The Air Safe hitch was for them. Goes with the Flying Cloud. Same with the new Equalizer hitch.
Marc, I'm extremely proud to see the evolution of your RV washing skills! Lol
Glad you rented a great vehicle GMC!
I take it you brought your own hitch to Enterprise to put in the hitch receiver. Was there any restrictions on towing from Enterprise?
My wife wants to know how you collected all of Charlie’s fur from the camper bc that breed sheds worse than any other we’ve ever owned. 😊
Our truck, house and camper are full of Tucker fragments 😂
We have rented trucks from enterprise before. We have very good rented from them.
This is easy. Enterprise has it figured out.
I’m getting a little sentimental 😢 Paul and Pam are so lucky that you left your KYD sign, that’s like having a signed album from Elvis ❤
I know one thing, I’m going to start wearing a KYD hat everywhere so I get good deals, when they ask I’ll just casually say, “yeah, I’m Marc’s sister, I run the show” haha
Great to see Carson, I hope he is doing well and y’all had a great time with him !!!
Blessings
Lol. We need to do more of that! Yes, own it and see what happens.
Wouldn't it be nice if all transfers of propety were so positive and fun (and full of good memories and future potential)?
We're at 7,000 feet in AZ and surprised we never had to adjust, but when we're here, we're not really using it.
Congratulations on the new rig!!! I’ve been curious what ever happened to the Hensley? You guys seemed to really be happy with it did you find you don’t need in on the airstream(s)?
I love you guys! I can't wait for the following video.
Onward and upward 👍
