I moved to Cyprus but the work was very underpaid and I was working six days a week so my quality of life wasn't improved as on my only day off I had to do the cleaning, shopping etc that I couldn't do through the week. Yes rent was much cheaper but the pay was so low it made no difference. A lunch hour was unheard of, it was a quick break if you were lucky to eat something. Having sunshine and the sea close by is nice but when you spend most of your time in work you might as well be in the rain.
@@chrysalis4126 yeah sometimes trial and error is the best way to find out if a country you move to will work for you or not. Unfortunately most of Europe has been ruled out to us since Brexit and relatively low wages!
I look forward to seeing how you do. I lived in Thailand, Seychelles, Mauritius and now live in Spain. Long story of how we ended up here but me and the wife would go back to Thailand in a heartbeat. Bangkok was one of the few cities in the world we have been where my wife actually liked it.
@@JohnRWMarchant thank you and totally agree that Bangkok is an amazing place to live, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but we’ve lived in many places around the world and this city ranks up there in the top 3 without a doubt!

I went to Tenerife over 30 years ago and have never looked back, I learned the language and adopted the culture, My dentistry business was much needed and is going great and we are appreciated by the community, All is great here :)
@@craigrothwell6144 great to hear a success story of someone moving abroad! We’re also learning Thai, I can already speak some and immersing yourself in the culture is a must IMO. Enjoy Tenerife, I love it there!

It was a huge mistake giving shoplifters a £200 allowance! We now have retail theft on an industrial scale. Migrants are travelling across the globe to fill their boots in London's, West End. The country has gone down the pan! Good luck!
@@711honved I totally hear you on that one. We used to see shoplifters on a regular occurrence, I’ve even helped out a security guard who was struggling with a violent one once. But then you have to be really careful as I’d be the one who gets in trouble if I used too much force….absolutely crazy!!
Lets be honest , UK has become crap , i am in the process of leaving building my house in Transylvania. It has taken quite some time in order to get a GP , medical insurance, , settlement visa etc ,
