    There is no RIGHT choice. Live your life, not by what others think. I've been quietly watching your videos and relate a lot with what you've been talking about. I'm 35 and quit my high paying job last year, so far had 4 months out trying to repair myself and also like you seeking change. Therapy has been great to keep me in check and I hope you enjoy your holiday and making the change you want.

    I left the UK 18 years ago, it was an obvious choice the writing was on the wall. Singapore, UAE, Russia, Malaysia and Georgia are all fantastic compared to the UK/US/EU. Singapore is virtually impossible to live full time now and UAE requires 2,000,000 AED investment for 10 year golden visa. Golden rule stay away from western countries - due to uncontrolled immigration, degeneracy, taxes, lgbt, feminism, poverty etc

      What exactly is fantastic about Russia and Georgia compared to UK? Most people in these countries leave in poverty earning less than 1k$ monthly and groceries there worth as much as in the UK, and quality is generally much lower. It’s only great if you have your UK income and live in those countries, locals quality of life is way worse than in the UK except maybe very small percentage of relatively high earners living in the capitals

    I'm 44 and would love to leave the UK. It is just going from bad to worse and no one seems happy here. Immigration is out of control and consequently crime is out of control. We pay high taxes for little in return. The cost of living is high and wages don't cover it. The quality of life in UK is generally poor. The government don't care and are corrupt. By 2030, I'm certain the UK will be a 3rd world country.
    Good luck in whatever you decide to do in the future and my advice to anyone that can get out of this place, then do it. Life is too short.

    It was really interesting to hear you planned a trip to Bangkok, because last week I booked my own. I'm Dutch, so we are neighbours. My social group was massive, but is now virtually non existend, I'm 38. I have never felt truly at home here. I have always felt more connected with international people. My trip will be for a couple of weeks, but it is also to see if I can picture myself living in Thailand, near the beach for the better climate. The weather in Holland and the UK is depressing. Simply seeing the sun would be a massive help. But the most interesting thing is going to be the international expat community of people there. Since most come there being alone, most will be open to meeting new people. I believe your decision of becoming a digital nomad will be the best decision you will ever make. Enjoy.

      @JayWallace  6 месяцев назад +2

      This is a solo mission for me.
      I've done both. I traveled to Thailand with my brother back in 2009 and went to India in 2020 solo.
      I would say it depends on what you're looking for.
      If you're going somewhere just to explore the country, culture, food etc then you can do that on your own or with someone. Sometimes it's nicer to share those experiences with someone close to you.
      If you're like me and want to challenge yourself, to learn and grow then you're going to give yourself a much better chance on your own.
      You'll be challenged constantly which helps you grow, you'll get lonely and want to talk to people which can help with social confidence and there's no better builder of self-esteem than only being able to rely on yourself when times are hard.
      Hope that helps.

      Thanks Jay. Yes I’ve been leaning more towards travelling alone tbh as I quite like my own company and I’ll have the time and space to learn and explore without being tied to someone else.
      Might start somewhere closer like Europe for an easier challenge then gradually branch out to more faraway places like Southeast Asia or even Qatar, UAE as I’ve become interested in exploring those countries.
      Anyway best of luck in your travels and looking forward to watching your future uploads.
