I heard, for the first time, a review on the integrated. Not sure if it was the A10 or A12. I am a little more interested now that I've heard this review. My previous interest was dampened by just how busy the amp was with so much different circuitry to satisfy so many potential (customer) needs. I am particularly interested to hear your review of one of the integrated amps. With the high (Class A?) bias I wonder how well these amps perform at moderate to low volume (late night) listening. I await your review. By the way - Schiit just released the Aegir 2. You did an excellent job of reviewing the older Aegir so I do hope you will do the same for the 2. Thank you - your reviews are clear and they do get to the point.
The separates in the video perform commendably well at low listening levels. I hope to review one of the integrated amps soon. And, thanks for letting me know about the Aegir 2. I loved the predecessor and now very curious about the new model!
I bought in 2019, Advance-Acoustic x-preamp and A-160 power amp and listen over Advance acoustic K11-S speakers...I surprised with the price/performance ...After 5 years I found a good deal and upgrade my system again with Advance Acoustic X-X-i1100 and XL-500 speakers...I highly recommend the brand..They are really sound fantastic.
Hi - I’ve yet to come across a hifi gear reviewer that’s giving me so many great tips on awesome albums. I could use this channel for music recommendations alone. My current setup: Evoke 20, Yamaha R-N1000A, Eversolo ME, Atlas speaker cables, QED signal cables, Supra power cables.
thank you, question(s), you say discrete consists of tri mode 1 and tri mode 2, do these circuits affect the sound in discrete mode and not in class A mode?in what way exactly does it influence the sound?clearer,warmer?...and does mode class A sound warmer than the discrete mode?..thank you..
I have this combo since 2017, albeit with their older X-Preamp. Please for your future reviews, give some comparisons within the price range won’t be a bad idea. So after your positive review your viewers don’t know how does this sound compared to your Rega Aethos /Elicit mk5, even though they are analog only. Asking this because I am considering Aethos for my other setup which currently runs on old Roksan Kandy mkIII. Also, I recommend you compare digital vs analog performance… I know that you are analog head, but it will make your reviews complete. Cheers 😊
There are times I have amps on hand to compare, and sometimes I don’t. But having said all that I can go by memory, which you can make of it as you wish. The Elicit mk5 sounds different than the Paris Combo with the Paris sounding a bit sweeter and the Elicit having better timing. I personally prefer the Aethos over the Paris for more detail and timbre reproduction.
Thanks for the review! I am a Vienna Acoustics owner as well (Beethoven baby grands). How did you find the soundstage of this combo with your speakers? I recently upgraded my amps, and while I gained in most areas, I found that I lost a bit of the 3D soundstage I had before.
Good question. The soundstage was a bit forward but still have depth. I did pull the speakers out more from the front wall to improve the depth perception. What amps did you upgrade from and to?
@@analogholic_reviews I have a hybrid system that I use for both stereo listening and home cinema purposes. Pre was Yamaha CX-A5200 with an old Yamaha AV receiver as power amp (temporary system till I could get what I wanted). Upgraded to Musical Fidelity M6s pre and power amp (power amp has an input selector on the front panel, so I use XLR from the M6s pre for stereo and RCA from the A5200 for movies). Also added a three channel purifi power amp from Audiophonics for center and rear channels (and upgraded to a very nice REL sub). With the upgrade, while the sound has much more authority (especially in the lower octaves) and is less fatiguing and I overall like it, it feels like it has less headroom (which is crazy, as the M6s has triple the rating of the Yamaha I was using) and have lost a bit of the 3D sound I had before (on certain songs I had the illusion of certain sounds coming from behind my couch, it was THAT wide)
Just wondering if you have ever heard any Oddesy Khartago Amps? I think they are rated 110 watts rms per channel. If you have how do they compare to the Advance Paris equipment??? I have a New to me pair of B&W 802 Nautilis and a Mcintosh 2205, 200 watts rms p.c. and a tandberg 3002 pre amp. The 802's are power hungry and i am looking to upgrade amps and pre amps.

While I have read good reviews on the Odyssey amps, I have not listened to any of them.
If you like oblighetto, check out the remix.
