Great jazz singer, with an excellent backing band. She is like listening to Chet Baker's muted trumpet at sunset, sipping Amaretto De Serrano on the rocks, with the love of your life snuggled up beside you on the porch.....
That song and the lyrics especially resonates with me. After having been in that type of relationship, going in as a lamb, I definitely feel like a lion now. This is one of the few SADE songs I didn't know, but absolutely love now. And I enjoyed your reaction as well as your words at the end!
This is such a gem. She’s so much more than her singles. That being said, check out “War of the Hearts” “Tar Baby” “Cherish the Day” “Love is stronger than Pride”
Love Deluxe album is one of the best albums in the history of music, so full of emotions and for me at least brings me nostalgia of an era I didn't lived on
Hi Ms. RR., All of Ms. Helen Folasade Adu's songs are great.. One needs to add "By Your Side" to the songs above.. I had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Sade in Durham, N.C. about 9 years ago.. Best concert I have ever been to.. ♠W.G.
It's almost impossible to dislike Sade's music. She is so smooth and evocative in her singing. And I'm so happy she's still around, and please play some more of her music Rogue, so we can see that beautiful smile of yours more. : )
This was an awesome arrangement of vocals and musicality. The song texture put me in a moon lite night of romance and slow groove dancin with a lady that has my heart. Everything was just so,,, spot on! Incredible
With as much as you love the classic Sade groove, I think you’d love anything from Steely Dan’s AJA (pronounced Asia) album. There’s no way the musicians with Sade, among many others, weren’t influenced by Steely Dan
ok the rest of the night ( it’s the middle of the night) so until I fall asleep I’m listening to Sade🙏🦋✌🏻 Thank you! I needed this reminder of how much I love Sade
I've always had a special place in my musical heart for Sade. Back in 2011, I traveled from Utah to Las Vegas to see Sade at the MGM Grand w/ John Legend. I couldn't have been more happy to finally hear and see her up close and in person (I believe I teared up a few times on this song because of it's personal meaning in my life). That was one concert I'll never forget and I've seen many amazing heavy metal and rock shows in my lifetime and this was in a category of it's own!
I was 16 when I used to wear out love deluxe. I miss those days. I was really a solitude kind of kid and this song met me right there. I had my room hooked up. When i fist heard the the drums and base I thought it was a remix of a song from her stronger then pride album but it went into the tranz like lounge electronic jazzy feel. Loved it. Good vid and YOU have excellent taste in music 😘🥰
I guess you could call me a ''red neck'' because I love country/western music and dancing to it. What no one knows about me is that I also love this style of music and whenever I listen to this, I always close my eyes and picture myself out on the dance floor with a beautiful partner and just showing everyone how its done and, of course, we are the best on the dance floor. I don't hide any of this from my small circle of friends, it just that there is no place to go dancing in the area where I live. I have to make due with my living room being my dance floor. The true set back is that I am 68 yrs. old and everyone around me feels they have got too old to go dancing and set around talking about all of their aches and pains. Not me, just no one to go dancing with. This is a beautiful song.....
I love Sade….classy Queen 👸🏽 just like you! When you get a chance can you listen to “ War of the Heart” or her live version with her back up singer Vevo video “Haunt Me” they are both amazing 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
“Kiss Of Life”, “Smooth Operator”, “Cherish The Day”……I love the entire albums Diamond Life,Love Deluxe …and then I have a best of album. My first love and I listened to a lot of Sade back in the 90’s. My mom listened in the 80’s so I introduced my friends to her music
There are a few more I would like to request from Sade anyone of them would be great. Love Is Stronger Then Pride, Pearls, No Ordinary Love, By Your Side, Is It A Crime, or my favorite one my favorite, one Kiss of life
Love this song and i love this album! This song is one of my favourites from the "Love Deluxe" album. I highly recommend the following songs from the same album: 3. Could'nt love you more 4. Like a tattoo 5. Kiss of life 6. Cherish the day The no.1 track "No ordinary love" was the theme song for the movie "A indecent proposal!" One of the great albums of all time!
In response to your pronunciation of her name you are pronouncing it correctly. Africans always add that “ r” sound even though the letter r is not there. For example I work with a girl from Africa. Her name is spelled Awa. But she pronounces it Arwa. Her brothers name Abutu. But he pronounces it Arbutu. Granted Sade is Caribbean but they are just misplaced Africans.
Saw her in concert in the 90's...barefoot Queen, and her band was magical! I've always loved her jazzy soul sound...thanks RR for this reaction.....one of my favorites is "Is it A Crime.". That one hits hard, too! 💖💖💖
Dumb little story but, I was sleeping with the radio on when I heard "Is It a Crime" playing. I think I started to dream along to the music and I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard! I opened my eyes and started to wipe my eyes because I thought that I was actually crying, (I wasn't). I went out the next day and bought that album and have been in love with her ever since. Anyway, I'm happy that someone else likes this song.
Her catalog is an experience. There's a romance in her voice that is like no other artist complimented by an incredible band...please react to "Love Is Stronger Than Pride" one of the best songs in music history.
To be completely honest l have been in love with Sade longer than any other woman. The weird thing is l look a lot older and she looks the same just unbelievably gorgeous.
i just went to listen to this song again and saw a comment I made a year ago part of it said her music is like a warm hug when you’ve been freezing for hours etc thought i was being deep 😂🤣🔥🌿✌🏻 the comment didn’t even seem like me…that sour diesel probably is to blame🤣😂
Very groovy ... the lyrics; and the way the sax's filling by playing the scales and mode. Have you tried Toto's 'Georgy Porgy'? Aside the technicallity of the song (chord progression), the lyrics' captivating.
Live version of this jam is sensational - her backup vocalist Leroy Osbourne joins her towards the end and really shines , the soulful chemistry between them is evident.
HER VOICE IS AN INSTRUMENT ITSELF....HER UNIQUE BEAUTY IS JUST A BONUS....IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE TO SEE HER LIVE.....DO IT .....STELLAR IS THE ONLY WORD!!
Looove Sade ! Been a fan since her debut, Love delux is 1 of my favourite albums together with Loversrock. Have many of her videos saved whenever I need to sooth my soul. Great vid beautiful lady 😉
This is one of my favorite Sade cuts and that album helped me get through a break up back in the early 90s. I love your reaction and connection to these songs. You just gained another sub.
just noticed your comment was 44 minutes ago…I am seeing repeating numbers everywhere all day long since 2011 and have started noticing it’s happening even more as time goes on..it’s synchronicity and it’s a good thing I like to believe
Went to see her in 1988 or so, Love Deluxe Tour. Barefoot, sparkling dress. The sexiest and best concert I've ever seen. Guys would walk up to the stage to give her flowers and she would just wrap her whole arm around their head and neck and give them a big kiss on the cheek. Everyone danced the whole time. Saw her again for the Soldier of Love tour (I think it was) SO SO GOOD.
I remember watching Sade live at the London's famous jazz cafe back in the 90s. Went home after, and surprised myself by going there to watch her again the next evening.
You and I don't seem to like the same music, except for Sade. I once got thrown out of a 2nd floor window at a bar in Philly for playing Kiss of Life by Sade 28 times on the jukebox. I did land on a brand-new Jag; definitely a plus for me. I came back to that bar the next night and the owner told me: I kicked them out and they are not welcome back. - Jukebox is yours, brother. :) My man Sahd is a good man (Ethiopian bar). I put my gun on the bar and went to go play pool again. :) Not before I went to play Sade many times again on the juke. ;)
I'm here 2 years after your intial video!!! Bullet proof soul is one of Sade best songs but lesser known...people never get this bit. Sade is the name of the whole band named after Sade Adu. It's not Sade and a backing band. Her real name is Helen...not as exotic as her stage name!
As great and awesome as Sade is and she is all that and more let's not forget about the band very talented and innovative she kept the same band from her first album to her last album that's amazing. Love Love Love Sade!!!
Here is another blast from the past. Cilia Black and Anyone who had a heart. She is Britains lead female vocalist even today. ruclips.net/video/rWAcG5p0Jyg/видео.html
When she hit in the 80's I witnessed all the men (myself included) I knew at that time reflecting what Ice T said about her: "when she sings, it feels like she is singing directly to you."
Ahh the great Nubian Queen, drop dead gorgeous voice owned by a drop dead gorgeous woman. One of the greatest female artists of all time.
OF ALL TIME!!
True indeed 😍💯🗽
And 50% English a creative combination.
Great jazz singer, with an excellent backing band. She is like listening to Chet Baker's muted trumpet at sunset, sipping Amaretto De Serrano on the rocks, with the love of your life snuggled up beside you on the porch.....
Sade is…just…..perfect
I love some Sade! I love all her music.
That song and the lyrics especially resonates with me. After having been in that type of relationship, going in as a lamb, I definitely feel like a lion now. This is one of the few SADE songs I didn't know, but absolutely love now. And I enjoyed your reaction as well as your words at the end!
😍😍am Calm
I love Sade
Great reaction
🤘🏻😎 Shes great live😁
This is such a gem. She’s so much more than her singles. That being said, check out “War of the Hearts” “Tar Baby” “Cherish the Day” “Love is stronger than Pride”
How do you pick a favorite Sade track..? Mission impassable.
Love Deluxe album is one of the best albums in the history of music, so full of emotions and for me at least brings me nostalgia of an era I didn't lived on
Hi Royce! Sade's Smooth Operator, Sweetest Taboo, and Your Love Is King are my favorites from her.
yesss all of those 👍👍💜

I agree 100%! Rogue would love AJA..
Absolutely love Sade, does not get much better, I wish she had a larger catalog of music.
Me too........but she has had 6 studio albums, 1 Live and 2 Best of......more than enough to enjoy. I have them all and listen quite regularly.
@@Newfie-zc7ug I have the six studio albums, but have not looked into the live album.
ok the rest of the night ( it’s the middle of the night) so until I fall asleep I’m listening to Sade🙏🦋✌🏻 Thank you! I needed this reminder of how much I love Sade

Sade came to my city in 2011 ( Louisville) but I was 21 and too broke to see her damn!
I was 16 when I used to wear out love deluxe. I miss those days. I was really a solitude kind of kid and this song met me right there. I had my room hooked up. Don't forget to have your glass of wine next time you indulge yourself in Sade
Sade Adu talented 1980's her vocals out of this world

@@jamesclapp6832 Hi James, I have to ask. Did you call me awesome? If so, I am very grateful so Thany You, Just me......
I love ♥ that the 5 min ended up a 10 min edit 🙏😎...She is The Goddess
I love Sade….classy Queen 👸🏽 just like you! When you get a chance can you listen to “ War of the Heart” or her live version with her back up singer Vevo video “Haunt Me” they are both amazing 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Your so cute Rogue but you might want to leave the vocals to Sade...lol..I love your reactions and analysis though. Peace...love..party on.

The no.1 track "No ordinary love" was the theme song for the movie "A indecent proposal!"
One of the great albums of all time!
Sada is a gorgeous woman and her voice makes her all the more gorgeous. She’s one of my all time favorite female singers. Her voice is pure silk.
The big song off this album (Love Deluxe") is NO ORDINARY LOVE from the movie Indecent Proposal in the 90's.
Sade is beyond compassion a true musical legend.
This is a great tune that not too many people know!! I saw Sade's Lovers Rock tour. One of my favorite other tunes is Cherry Pie.
That's my Sh## right there! Totally original. Haven't heard nothing like SADE before or since. And the band SADE? KILLER.
Butter wishes it was this smooth
Sade! She has sweet, smooth voice! Thanks Roxy. 😊
Sade ~ "Pearls" Live video..the sun beams from yellow to red 🔥, she bellows! 😢🤦🏾❤️ OMG!
Please, your thoughts RogueRxyce?

I LOVE me some Sade! I call her The Queen of Slow Jams.

SADE!!!!!!!! My soul is back in the 80's and 90's listening to her music is magic! Artist like her are so hard to find.
You should check out Yebba’s Tiny Desk performance.

Royce got me feelin some type a way! Got a 🥃 in my hand with the legendary Sade playin… aight let me stop 😁
I love her and her band is so good yes the SAX Drums Guitar and bass. I wish she would come back with another CD
The same Sade is the shortened version of her full name: Helen Folasade Adu
She's one of my all time favorites
this song should not be interrupted - let it play and then comment.

Ahhhhh! Sade is magnificent. Always have loved her music. So chill… Thanks Royce!! 😊🌹🌹🌹
This whole album is incredible
You should also check out Pearls, Clean Heart, and Feel No Pain. Such bops
She actually made a beautiful reaction to Pearls, but it got blocked apparently.
I fade in to Sade when I have rough days! This is my absolute favorite!
Sade a Godsend that sounds about right but that goes for Royce too.❤️
yes i concur 👍 great selection thanks 🙏🦋✌🏻
Sade is great when you’re in love and also when you’re heartbroken depending on the song……in the bed crying or in the bed with your lover

I agree
i would give up everything for her to create this wonderful music, her voice is like caramel, sweet, smooth and yummy
Somehow it looked like a calm rainy day that day.. but anyway this is probably my fav song of hers 🎵. Nice review 👌🏽
Try Kiss of Life; you might like it. - Simple song, but it hits for me.
fell in love the first time I ever heard her voice.....and forty years later, that hasn't changed.

Thank you for introducing her to me.
My time out candle light music. Her band normal background sings for live.
Classic Sharde
Deep Deep Song it's about an abusive partner who contracts HIV - AIDS
Sade is one of my fav jazz singers and also lover her, she is so down to earth

People must don't know that her name is not Sade,Sade is the name of the band and group..
