Yes to ALL of this. Except that I prefer new books since I plan on having so many kids and I need them to last. I have my curriculum choices sub-totaled at just under $5K for preschool all the way through highschool for 6+ kids! That's with using multiple curriculum/supplemental materials for some subjects, so the price can definitely go down from there. Besides reusing textbooks/teacher guides, getting pdfs wherever possible for any consumable material, such as activity books, is my plan. Then you only add the cost of printing those off yourself with each new addition to your family or switching if a curriculum isn't working for a particular child. Compare this to an average of 15K for private school for ONE kid every YEAR. I'll take it.
