I never understood why the women would get mad about the guys lying about them being princes and stuff (same goes for reversed roles). I feel like the women would be like "okay, didn't expect this but cool, let's roll with it." Or something like that and not say something like "what, your handsome, rich, and we have a good connection? Get away from me, we're through." Like what?!?!??! Makes no sense but I'm gonna watch this movie anyways.
i mean i agree but i think it's more the "hey, you lied about a huge part of yourself and it's kind of important to build a relationship built on some sort of trust"
@@elizabethjulia20 agree but I don't why this type of lying would be seen as a reason for them not to trust that person anymore. Like, that prince or princess was still being who they truly we're. It's almost, now to the point where had that prince or princess told them who they were, then that other person may have decided to stick with them for selfish reasons instead of it working out because of them liking who the other person really was and then figuring out that they hid their status and wealth so that the other person would just almost instantly become almost like a gold digger. Not saying that as soon as they find out they are a gold digger but let's say you (I don't know if you're married, dating or single, this is just a hypothetical) started dating this man or woman and you both go on a 2nd date and then this man or woman tells you that they're actually a prince or princess and that they're stacked. Wouldn't that just mess you up in the way that your not just looking at this person for who they are but also what's behind them because with true love its not supposed to matter what status they have or what wealth they have or the position they're in in whatever. So if this prince or princess (in these movies) didn't tell their partner who they really we're, they it's like any other relationship where they test each other to see if they're compatible for a life time. Then afterwards they can be like "wow, you really love me for who I am and I enjoy always being with you. I think it's time I tell you that I (blah blah blah yada yada yada). But yeah, idk. Movies are movies.

@@elizabethjulia20 oh, also, the trust they have build is on who they actually we're when they were with that person and the connections they made (in the movie n stuff)and when the status and money were not distractions to the other (later revealed later in the move).
@@abcgamer2012 hahahahah love the book. I'm a rambler myself so I'm with you lol. I agree, which is why I think a lot of these have that moment of realisation and do end up forgiving the person. I'm just saying the initial reaction is to get angry and distrustful because when you find out someone wasn't honest with you and you really let them in generally anger or hurt is the first reaction. BUT once the person has time to think and not be confronted they can realise the reasons behind the lies and gain some trust back and then get to know the person with that big part of who they are.
I was expecting this movie to be an unrealistically simple love story where the struggles the protagonists face are trivial and
ephemeral, and that for most of the movie everything would be all fine and cheesy, leading to a predictable happy ending.
That's exactly what it was, I loved it.

There’s no doubt that (Luke) Eddie carried out the role of a prince after he returned from Wisconsin & the speech he made after being crowned was directed at, not only the people of Denmark, but to her (Paige) as well. There is more than one meaning in that presentation.
I hear that the guy I love is a prince... Trust me, my first instinct will be, "whoop! I'm finally a princess! My childhood Cinderella dream did not go in vain"

Rewatching this in 2019 and I kept thinking of prince William and Catherine's life. They did break up for a while and then got back right?
I feel like though she went to a prep school and should've known he was a prince. I mean shes fr9m England? You'd be living under a rock to not know who prince William is. Also they use the same line for Prince Harry and Meghan. Like come on, you didn't know he was a prince? EVERYONE throughout the world knows who those two brothers are.

Julia Styles carries this movie single handed (the US actors are also on good form; not so true of their european counterparts). It could so easily have been a thin Hallmark effort, full of stereotypes. Styles, a better than average script and a director who took a serious line, saved the story.
Thought Luke Mably held his own against her and he did a pretty good job of being the spoilt prince who gradually changes to being a responsible adult as he spends more time with Paige
Why does the future king of Denmark have an english accent? Do Danes normally have english accents?
Anytime Anywhere, it really depends some Danes have a really danish accent and some have a more english/ American accent. It depends on the skill level of the person and how they are thought English in school...
But this movie is not true we don’t have a prince named Edward and we don’t have a king and queen who are that young like the princes parents in this movie
God forbid they cast an actual Dane for the role as a Dane!

The Prince of England is pretty much the most famous royal in the world, so I guessed they used a small country like Denmark in the story so that they can get away with the fact that no one knew who he was.
