    Just noticed that 321 working in multiple with a 317... never seen that before or since!

      I thought the leading unit was a 313 just with all its windows open

    I never seen Class 317+321 together before. But I already seen ScotRail's 318+320 together (also South Western Trains' 455+455+456) too. That's interested about 317+321!

    Nice vid again. The small time when Northampton Cobblers and 317's were being taken over by more new 321's. Last days of the mk.2 Pullmans aswell i think??

    why did it take until the mid 2000s to finally retire the 86/87 classes and their coaches? just lack of investment?

      BR was planning the Intercity 250 upgrade for the WCML in the early 1990s but it was cancelled due to privatisation. Would have involved various route upgrades and 155mph trains.
