I originally chose this pairing because the characters in Blue Lions remind me of archetypes from Marth's games. Ashe was like a mix of Gordin (kind archer) and Julian (lovable ex-thief) and Mercedes the kind cleric like Lena. I chose for the lovable ex-thief and kind cleric to get together and found them adorable as their own thing
im playing through shadow dragon right now and gordin and lena are both of my mvps. relating to this might explain why i like this support chain so much even though i ideally pair them with others
