- The man accused of killing a Toronto police officer continued to provide testimony in his first-degree murder trial. As Erica Natividad reports, Umar Zameer testified that he was horrified when he found Constable Jeffrey Northrup was dead.
In a Toronto parking garage, in the evening, with a pregnant woman and a scared young boy, men approaching with no uniforms, then a car... I'm sure I would have been thinking robbery or carjacking,...I'm sure I too would have panicked, only thinking of of my vulnerable family and escape. In that state, would I have noticed the officer lying on the ground?.... REALLY not sure. What a terribly sad story.
He feared for his family,no criminal intent-reasonable doubt cast…
yiu think cops always be clothed
@@junkfoodguy by that logic then any criminal can be pretending to be a cop
@@junkfoodguyI’ve seen that plenty of times. Especially when you’re an undercover cop or security guard! Maybe you should get out more
Do you think cops always tell the truth?
@@junkfoodguyNot all cops wear uniforms genius
@@troymitchell1931most undercovers do clown 🤡
So much missing info, why were the cops trying to stop this guy is the big question tht needs answering.
100% that question can turn the direction of the entire case
BECAUSE HIS WIFE WAS WEARING A HIJAB. THAT'S WHY THEY ARE TRYING TO HIDE THE REASON.
so why were two cops in ordinary citizen clothing approaching a car aggressively? If I saw random people coming and banging on my car, I’d be scared too. Especially with everything going on in Toronto right now, who can blame him for trying to protect his family?
This is standard policy and they were trying to provoke a response , allowing them a reason to search the car
nobody be undercover
yea, because he was doing nothing wrong at all eh? get a grip..... lol
@@_Seagie what was the wrong thing he was doing? its not mentioned in the video. Do you know why he was approached?
@@_Seagie he wasn't doing anything wrong you little clown
NOT GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES!! JUSTICE!!
Not guilty this person was wrongfully targeted and confused him
Lol I don't buy his story he thought he was being targeted by a gang in a city owned parking lot attached to City Hall.
so no cop should be unercover
@@Sam19509I mean non of the evidence matches anything the cops are saying so it’s looking bad for the crown atm
How can you not know you hit someone or something and why didn't he call the cops or his wife call the cops to say they're frightened they think they're being attacked 🤷🏼♀️
I think police should have a way to identity themselves that is fast and unfalsifiable. Many criminals stop people pretending top be police officers with uniforms and badges.
They do have a way.. holy moly people are dumb
so the Police were not SmArT enough to identify themselves as officers and showing their badges, so it cost one of these SmArT people their Lives...
Guilty by skin tone
Another ten and a half?
The most compelling excuse was that the wife thought Northrup was a speed bump.
😂
Throw him in jail already
The lying dumb cop?
I do not believe his story at all! Shadiness on full display. Worried about pre labour?! hahaha! Labour is a natural process. How could he not know that these are police officers? Where is he from? He really seems to not understand how our system works?
you are dumb dude
They were in plain clothes, and did not show identification or explain why they were pursuing him/bashing his windows/pointing firarms/ or blocking them from leaving. He had every reason to respond fearfully and flee. Police created an unsafe situation by disregarding safety protocol, and escalating fear - without even having reasonable cause. They also positioned their bodies between vehicles, which wasn’t safe. Zameer seems to have a better understanding of how things work here than you - as he knows officers are required to identify themselves, show ID, and explain why they want to talk to you. The police are responsible for creating an unsafe situation- and they need to accept their responsibility for the loss of life that resulted from that.
Where are you from and how many babies have you even had? His wife was 8 months pregnant and an extremely acutely stressful stimulus CAN and DOES trigger preterm labour.
They were in plain clothes banging on his window. Don't leave ignorant comments if you don't even know all the details of the case lol
Seems to me the cops weren’t in their uniforms, being aggressive and randomly mistaken identity. Looks to me that these undercover cops were in the wrong acting like a bunch of a thugs. Especially no shame to act that way in front of a pregnant woman and young toddler.
