I generally use port instead of sherry. I also use sponge fingers instead of Swiss roll as I don’t like jam in the trifle. I use port wine flavoured jelly too.
So u must have taken the pledge as well!!..And I've lived in the U.S for 23 yrs (Vegas) but I was born in London( with Parents from Cahirciveen.Kerry)Now my mum made great Custard ( really smooth)and was a good cook, she really knew how to cook Meat,Turkey etc&,she baked Irish Soda Bread and Current Buns( a winner)..But she never made this,( But she did buy Marks& Spencer,so that wasn't to bad)...But anyway ur Trifle turned out really nice&I think the Swiss Role is a good idea!.Anyway good luck&,I hope ur enjoying living in Canada!
Thanks a million for this video. My trifle wasn't great last year so definitely trying out this one. Loved your story about your mam and dad: mine were life long pioneers too and mam was very generous with the sherry! Lily x

Too good, I ate half of it 🤣
Lol love the little story 😂

Great video thank you.
How long does it last in the fridge?
How it should be made 😊
Where do you find the custard mix, please? Looks delicious!!
I just got it at the local supermarket. If you have a Walmart maybe try there 😉
After placing the cherries, is it ready to eat, or do you then put it into the fridge so the jelly and custard can set.
Sorry, did I not say, you need to let it set. 😊
Last time I tried this my jello didn’t set,any idea where I went wrong.
Was your liquid ratio correct? Try reducing it a little, it may help
Grawnya's Home and Kitchen maybe I’ll give it another go.
My granny use to make trifle like this except she would put hundreds and thousands on top.
Yes, I remember them, I loved the crunch 😊
Oo
I love sherry triffle but it’s alcohol
Just as I make it . I’m an ex pat as well.
Such an easy desert isn't it and so worth it 😊
Very easy. Everyone loved my raspberry trifle. I watched a chef make the queens trifle this week. No jelly in at all. Was on good morning uk.
I watched it on RUclips.
