It doesn't make sense to really consider them Omnipotent if they can be defeated like how Galactus and Franklin Richards killed one of them in a fight and beyonder by himself stomped all of them. They're still really overpowered on a high level regardless

I started collecting The Eternals from the very first issue. I was age 16, working my very first check paying job. There was a convenience store nearby. I would walk there and get lunch. This was before comic book shops and I always checked the newsstand for new realses. I was already a huge Kirby fan and I saw he had a new series. Of course, I bought it. I still have every single issue from the original run.:)

You forgot to mention they created life and the X gene to evolve into powerful weapons to protect planets that have a Celestial Seed or embryo of a Celestial inside the planet and Galactus eats planets of that type to keep their population in check. Can't be missing Alex Ross stories...
The Celestials storyline in the movie The Eternals was very interesting; especially how they're not really villains and have to destroy planets to be born.

The Hulk, Spider-man, Iron man, the fantastic four, the x-men, Black panther, etc. While it’s true that Jack Kirby codeveloped many characters with him; they would have never have been conceived without Stan’s vision.

Eternity is more powerful. Celestials were created by the First Firmament, which is like the first ever universe or the first Eternity. Eternity is basically the entire multiverse. I mean if billions of Celestials together attacked Eternity, they could break it into pieces, that's how they defeated the First Firmament.
They're mostly in other character's stories. If you wanna know more about them, then you gotta find the stories they're major players in. Neil Gaiman's run on the Eternals has them a lot. There's a Thor Annual where Odin fights them. Earth X is a story about an alternate Earth where the Celestials are the major antagonists of the story, and it's probably the best story involving them besides Gaiman's Eternals run, as well as one of Marvel's most underrated best books.
