I had a Hoya Multiflora when I lived in Singapore. It is a terrestrial Hoya and grows more like a shrub. You could put a trellis behind it when you repot to make it more upright. They are prolific bloomers which adds to their appeal. Thank you for sharing your plants and experience with us all!
I would love to see a tour of the inside of your new home and plants. I know you’ve shown us some of it already but I’d love to see more. Living in Miami, I keep most of my Hoyas outside in my covered patio and they are living their best life. I also have some of my hardier ones outside and they are thriving but a little sun bleached.
That hoya looks like a coffee plant. Would never have suspected it of being an hoya save for the cluster of waxy star flowers which don't look all that familiar either.
We definitely need that anthurium potting up video, I’m super curious to how they’re all doing! Also cannot, cannot wait for a grand tour of all the plants and update once you’re all settled in, but obvi take your time and I’m just so happy for you!
Omg I love seeing the plants you’ve put outside and how much they’re loving it! It’s so special you have a yard/deck now where houseplants can thrive in the summer 💚 can’t wait until I can do that someday!
I’d be mindful of outside bugs/pests coming in from having the plants outside, especially the compact Hoyas😬. A couple of my houseplants really started to go downhill when I brought them back in after last summer, not sure if I went through them as thoroughly as I should’ve, or did any pest prevention before bringing them back in! Love how you’re thriving in your new home Fern, it’s incredible to see you enjoying the back deck and trying to figure out the new setups for the planty babes. Lots of love from Barcelona!✨
Yes, to anthurium repotting video! wow, Hoyas are doing so well! I think I need another multiflora, so cool. Mine didn't grow for me so I gave it away :T.
I have a scindapsus tattoo as well. I got it in February and it is growing like crazy. It has five new leaves coming. The leaves are as big as my hand 😀🇨🇦
Hi Fern. All your plants look very impressive, but the ones that have been outside look super happy and healthy. Shows what the right UV light and fresh air can do. I also found when I put all my hoyas outside on my east facing balcony, they started growing. They obviously need lighter conditions, than what an inside window can give. Loved the Stapelia Grandiflora!!! What an impressive flower. I have never seen one before. Well done!!!!👍👍
I put all of my Hoyas out on my screened porch and they are thrivingggg. My variegated obovata never did a thing until I put it outside and now it’s popping new leaves on the main vine and the 3 cuttings I added back in. I say, do it!
Your Hoyas are insane! I have all my growing outside and they love it! Love a repotting video next! Great video, im watching it like 3am Australia, couldn’t wait till morning! 😅 ❤️Natalie
Hoyas definitely love being outside! Been growing the majority of my Hoyas outside for at least 3 years now here in the SoCal desert. They get morning and afternoon sun. No humidity. They grow much faster than my Hoyas inside. I leave them out all year even with colder winter temps just above freezing. Great video!
Hi Fern I just wanted to say a huge congratulations on getting your house! That's the biggest accomplishment especially in our area of BC! Nobody to force you to move again ever, if you don't want to. Look forward to hearing the positive news going forward. All of the best and lots of vibes sent over from Surrey! - Alexander PS. Nursing school has been a heck of a one these past two terms, so that's why I haven't had a moment to comment! It's slowing down now so I'm trying to catch up. Take care you!
Also what a blessing to be able to travel and still come back to your home, forever. You'll find a huge balance in your life now. So freaking proud of you!! ❤️
I struggled with scindapsis in soil so I’m growing mine in sphagnum moss in a rectangular glass container with 1/2 inch of Leca pebbles in the bottom. Keep enough water to cover the pebbles. Add water when no water shows. I’m thrilled that I can finally grow them!
The cuprea reminds me of like a turtle shell mixed with like an armadillo and rolly polly. So amazing! And love how it waggled as you were showing it ❤
I didn’t get a notification from RUclips for this video! 😢 It also didn’t show in my subscription feed.. it only shows up in my recommended feed on the home page.. it’s never done that before… I can’t wait to watch now though!! ❤
I have a multiflora that has 3 stems. It made it so hard to have next to other plants as the angles of the stems stuck out and took up so much room. So I tossed it in my kitchen garbage can. Next day I had regrets, pulled it out and decided to group the stems together with Velcro tape. So much better and she has bloomed twice since. So I guess she is happy to be alive😂. I love the blooms because they are so unique from most other Hoya's and mine last quite a long time.
MAD jealous of the stapelia bloom. I've had the same plant for like four years and I swear it hasn't done a thing. Convinced its plastic at this point lol
Oh, I've seen that kind of Hoya in a house I visited. The owner said she took it from the mountain. Pretty pretty flowers. Does that monstera grow really big like the ones at the mountains? I really like cacti blooms....
I have only the exotica but they have also huge leaves like my palm, one is evrn bigger than my palm, dont have them in a pole but I stake the vines just in stick..😊
8:23 okay I finally got it, the cuprea looks like a gigantic bug, lol! Yeah, that one just doesn't do it for me, but not surprising since ferns and calatheas are my #1's.
So multiflora is a “shrub” Hoya and terrestrial versus the epiphytic ones that vine. Trimming it and maybe staking it to shape it would work, but I don’t think it’s a trellis candidate. Mine is a little wonky too but that’s their charm IMO 🤪✨
Stunning choices as usual! Ok so you have given me the confidence to put more of my Hoya outside!🌝they suddenly seem to be struggling in the house 🫤I put my krimson Queen out there a few weeks ago and she’s thriving!!🌿I was on the fence about it but now I’m 100% sure 🪴I’m just outside of the Chicago area so I’m sure we have similar conditions-it’s been pretty humid here…so thanks for another great video ♥️ have a great week!🌿💚✨
I put my Hoya Princess outside and almost killed her because of the sun Now it's in the shade and doing great. Your Cuprea is gorgeous! This plant is out of this world 👽
That cactus bloom has like some dark acadamia vibes esp with the hair, mixed with like a lilly. It is so beautifully bizarre! Sorry I always leave so many comments, I comment as I watch! Hopefully it helps the algorithm even if its harder for you to read
I am having the same experience with my obovata after moving it outside with the beautiful pink. Just makes me sad to think about when I have to bring it back inside when it gets cold haha
It's so nice to see growth and blooms!!! Very happy for you Fern🥰 That Stapelia Grandiflora bloom is sooooooooo stunning!! I'm seriously thinking of buying one now just to have that bloom in my house/garden 🤭😄 Happy growing ☀🌻
Aren’t you on Vancouver Island ? You and your plants aren’t affected by the fires, and air quality !? Stay safe! I love how excited you get when your plants have new blooms 😂 even the stinky ones 😂
The Anthurium Minahasa is nice. Of things planty and as a child- I remember the bed of canna lilies that lined our front porch. Their long dark leaves would catch my eye as they seemed so out of place to the surrounding desert I grew up in. They produced these beautiful seeds that I likened to black pearls lol, that I would collect. I was puzzled as to why these could not be instated in our currency system to buy things- they seemed valuable 🤣. In fairness I was around 5. What does your partner think of all the fresh oxygen he is receiving from your vegetation ✨
Hi Fern I love scindapsis I received a jade a couple months ago from plant haven it only has one vine and slowly growing leaves how long would you wait until I propagate so I’ll have 2 vines there are around 5 leaves on the one stem thanks also I know they prop really slow do u recommend water or moss thanks
I am worried about the harm of the growth lights on human. how you can avoid this affect? I have one that I can't put in my living room because it's not comfortable 😥...
Do you have a treubii moonlight? If so, is it evil or doing well? Mine is literally always yellow and only gets smaller with age... It does put out new leaves but it acts like its genetically defective. Ive yet to find a plant person who has one for long that is doing well or looking better than when they got it. Sadly, it's put me off buying any other scindapsus bc it was fairly pricey and has potential to be great looking but instead it's just evil... :( I've tried low light, higher light, right under a grow light, and so on. It does have roots! it just is ugly above the soil :( and sparse... So disappointing esp since its put me off wanting any other of the scindapsus family :(
@@kristiemowry3267 thanks! I don't know the history of the treubii but I'm assuming it was a man-made hybrid of some sort that wasn't ready to be launched... Sadly I'm now seeing a dark form of it and while it's beautiful I feel like it can't be better than the regular... If it was just a couple ppl struggling it would be ok but it's everyone I've talked to! Except of course Reddit has a few ppl who claim theirs are still perfect but I can't prove when their photos were taken 🤷🏼♀️ and they don't give their tips

OMG Fern your Cuprea is incredible! The Stapelia is absolutely stunning as well! I love its growth pattern & bloom 💯💚🙌. Great favs vid all in all!
We definitely need that anthurium potting up video, I’m super curious to how they’re all doing!
Also cannot, cannot wait for a grand tour of all the plants and update once you’re all settled in, but obvi take your time and I’m just so happy for you!
Ahh I am so excited to do a tour (hopefully soon!) and that’s great to hear, excited to get that anthurium potting video up :)
love seeing u gush about ur plants, ur vids just generally have such a upbeat, yet relaxing vibe, i always zen out lol
The little blooms from the hoya multiflora look like little fish !
Omg I love seeing the plants you’ve put outside and how much they’re loving it! It’s so special you have a yard/deck now where houseplants can thrive in the summer 💚 can’t wait until I can do that someday!
Wait, video idea, outdoor houseplant tour??

My Green Bean Hoya bloomed. In bud it smelled like Butterscotch but when it bloomed, strong floral
Yes, to anthurium repotting video! wow, Hoyas are doing so well! I think I need another multiflora, so cool. Mine didn't grow for me so I gave it away :T.
Love your descriptions of plants. And hoyas are great

Yes I want to see the repots
I love how we get to see snippets of your new house in every video. I'm so excited for you!

I so enjoy your honest enthusiasm for your plants. I appreciate a little mystery in both plants and people. What’s the fun in knowing everything?🐟🐟🐟

That hoya obovata is so gorgeous! 😍🤌🏻 I wish I could find one here in Finland, it’s been on my wish list forever..
I have a Scindapsus argereus too and it grows like a beast. I'd love to get more scindapsus.
I love your videos, I watch you almost daily. Watching you gets me in a very plenty mood, so zen 😊
That Alocasia Cuprea is so so impressive, all your plants are taking the move so well!
I have a multiflora that has 3 stems. It made it so hard to have next to other plants as the angles of the stems stuck out and took up so much room. So I tossed it in my kitchen garbage can. I really like cacti blooms....
Loved the comments from editing Fern 😂
I swear you always have a Hoya with blooms 😭😭😭 I’ve had some of my Hoyas for almost a year and I’ve never had any!!
Try moving them in different areas of your home.. Soon enough we have faith in you!!
I was just rewatching some of your older videos, what a delight to see this pop up😍🥰
All are so beautiful and growing well in your new home👍
💚🌱🌵☘️💚
I think the multiflora would look good if you repositioned it with a thin stick, so it will look like a mini blooming tree! She’s a beauty!
great idea!! thank you :)
I have only the exotica but they have also huge leaves like my palm, one is evrn bigger than my palm, dont have them in a pole but I stake the vines just in stick..😊

My multiflora variegated is growing just like yours, weird they look like they are trying to leave or something lol
I still NEED a cuprea. And I noticed the growth on my obavata get less wonky when I started to water it more consistently! Who knew!
So multiflora is a “shrub” Hoya and terrestrial versus the epiphytic ones that vine. Trimming it and maybe staking it to shape it would work, but I don’t think it’s a trellis candidate. Mine is a little wonky too but that’s their charm IMO 🤪✨
Love seeing your happy happy glow. And the sniff of the cactus flower...hahahaha!!

Hi Fern, loving your Jammin June favorites, they are all so beautiful!!
Loved the plants! Happy Canada day! 🇨🇦
🌵 looked but no stinky cactus emoji. Have never seen one of those Stapelia Grandifloras in bloom before - an orchid corsage for the alt prom crowd😜
Love how you show the weird and interesting plants! 💜
I put my Hoya Princess outside and almost killed her because of the sun
Now it's in the shade and doing great.
Your Cuprea is gorgeous! This plant is out of this world 👽
💚👽Love all the Alien like plants👽💚
All those flowers explains the name multiflora.
That cactus bloom has like some dark acadamia vibes esp with the hair, mixed with like a lilly. It is so beautifully bizarre!

Love the cuprea. I have one too. 😊🌷
I have thst hoya and it has the cutest blooms. They look like shooting stars
My Multiflora has been blooming for 6 1/2 months it's incredible. I love the blooms - they sort of look like teeth (Molars) hahaha
The bloom on the last plant you brought out is amazing 💚💚💚
My wayetti is doing the same as your multiflora! I have 3 penduncles in different stages and it already had a set that fell off.
Prettiest Gigas I’ve seen ! They usually look a bit off . Or in rehab . Tfs
Thank you! 🤗
Hello, Fern. Great to see you. Your plants are beautiful (and so are you). You are pretty in those overalls.☺♥
I haven’t seen an Obovata that large before! It looks so awesome!!

Smells stinky flower ,smells again, again and again 😂 Keeping it real. great video as always.
hahahah thank you for watching!
😂
My scindapsus tattoo is just a little thing but yours gives me so much hope 😍
Can you talk a little about how you saved up for your house and what percentage downpayment youd recommend?
Love your favorites videos 😍🥹
Yay! Thank you!
Pls post updates if you do put your variegated Hoya compacts outside! Mine is currently outside getting direct east - early noon sunlight :)
Hi Fern. I always look forward to your videos. Have a great day.
I really needed a planty video to motivate me, and water all of my plants today 🌱
Can't wait to see you propagate the obliqua runners
I never knew about Hoya Multiflora, or the shooting star Hoya. It’s now on my wishlist!
Where do you get those dragonfly clips?
I adore those gigas! I may be influenced to get one. 🙃😍
Omg the cuprea is stunning and HUGE
I’d love you to do a repot of your anthuriums.
Omggg you are so lucky! I wish my stapilia would bloom!
Your editing comments were super funny 😅🤣😂 you're the best! 💚

I absolutely love your "hoya" obliqua Peru 😉
hahaha :) thank you!
Was just wondering where you got that moss pole on the philodendron g have never seen one like that b4
Gorgeous ive been wanting that hoya
Mulitiflora is more of a bush fun to grow
Your stepia is stunning and that flowers
I am worried about the harm of the growth lights on human. how you can avoid this affect? I have one that I can't put in my living room because it's not comfortable 😥...
The last good flowers
Could the hoya maybe trail up a bigger plant?
Your coming to the Hoya dark side slowly but surely I see 😅 would love to see how you treat your babies for pests. They always look very happy.
Bahaha :)
I'd like to see what you do for pest control too @wildfern 💚🌿
That stapelia 🤣😄😅😉 so cute 😁
Your anthurium has beautiful venation. It’s a stunning plant.
Name of fertilizer you r using for such great growth😊
What’s the name of your ikea cabinet behind you

Yeah my Hoya blooms lasted two weeks
