I wish I had his skill. I've many pieces of 'old kit' like this amp that I'd love to have restored, but alas, they cost too much for what they are worth (and for what I can replace them for 2nd hand). If I had Mr Electricity's skill I'd be in 7th Heaven.

Amps are not complicated. There complicated for u, because u dont have the knowledge. This one is dirty, nothing more.....and if i look on the boards, its a very cheap one...

Em determinadas soldas ,principalmente na placa usaria 1 ferro de solda 30watts no máximo, na hora de limpar as placas com álcool isopropanol/isopropílico deixe a placa inclinada tipo 45 graus e vá limpando de cima para baixo porque a sujeira vai escorrendo para baixo e fica mais fácil!!! Só tomar cuidado para não cair em partes plásticas porque mancha. E não usaria alicate para tirar os knobs, a não ser que fosse com as pontas adaptadas com uma borracha para não detonar/arranhar/amassar, ok??? No restante, tranqüilo!!! Ficou bem legal e do que estava Kkkk virou outra potência!!! E o final??? Fake ou não, ficou da hora!!! 1 abraço e que o canal cresça bastante... Valeu...
I started this video thinking "If this is another fake, I'm gonna throw my phone against the wall, then film a video of me faking to fix it!!!" However I will give credit where it is due. To be able to work on such machines and replace components needs a very deep knowledge of electronics. Knowing how to take stuff apart is easy, but knowing what every single component does in a machine takes years. It's clear this guy knows what he's doing. Would like to have seen more of the component testing and how he went through the board looking for faults, but most would find that boring. Well done mate. Good job.
Mr. Electricity he just used a salvage solder iron and fixed the amp. Like nothing. That is skills. Respect for this guy. When some others with more access to technology they would be using a oscilloscope and all those sophisticated devices.

What is he using to clean the electronic boards ? He have a good memory to remember where the wires go without taking a photo or drawing a scheme before disconnecting it ! I always take a photo before dismantling something , to avoid mistakes when reassembling it . Looks like a public-address amplifier ( for professionnal use in a supermarket for example) than an house-hold hifi system. Nice job , the unit looks like and sounds like new .
