I see the two mains fuses are 16 amps into a PC board. Assuming you are in Europe at 230VAC x 16A total = 3,680 watts max. Leaving a little room to prevent fuses blowing every hour at full volume, let's say 12A working load. 230V x 12A = 2760 watts in from the mains. The amp is a direct coupled analog amp, so it's about 35% efficient to get great harmonic distortion numbers the audiofools insist on. 2760 x .35 = 966 watts /2 channels = 483 watts/channel....into probably 2 ohm loads. 483 into 2 ohms, 242 into 4 ohms, 121 into 8 ohms per channel.....hardly the 4KW RMS promised. 121 watts RMS will smoke most consumer grade speakers! Less than 2 ohms the lines of transistors melt but will blow the 16A fuses or pop the house breakers before the fire... Shhhhhh....Never mention math when selling stereos!
@@klonik79 True, it's targeted at clubs, discos, cinemas and auditoriums etc, specs claim 3760W RMS @ 1%THD bridged into 8 Ohms, 2800W/ch into 2 Ohm, rated power consumption at maximum output 6760VA.

Your restoration are awesome so real ....Not like the other restoration just manually doing some mess themself , already knowing the fault just for making the video .... Great work 👍
This is my take on it Fake as shit. e.g. every test on the toroidal transformers where done on the same multimeter settings, but lets pretend it was real, then every winding was burned out according to the test results. lol. The amp had no dust that normally builds up but was full of wood chip dust from the machines in the workshop. wood dust wont damage the amp and can be easily removed so good choice for fake crap. the capacitors could not be checked with that stupid meter lol another piece of crap. The whole thing is a staged fake video. The diode test was ridicules, All the new diodes failed the test and then failed again in the test in reverse , But this readings would be correct for a good diode if the diode was facing the other way. So there is fake stuff going on here. The bridge rectifiers all checked out as blown useless but the reverse fail wound be a pass. So I think the multimeter has one of these bogus repairs and they put the internal positive test lead to the negative external plug and the negative on the positive plug. Theis guys don't know the difference. This would explain the reverse readings they are getting . This means it is all fake . Also when they replaced the diodes in the board they all failed again because the other component's where also getting measured
Unfortunate to see that this machine was first intentionally ruined just to make a restoration video. How fake restoration video has become an industry now
For real, looks like he went outside and told his kids to play with it in the sand. Still shows he is capable of repairs but if he were an honest man he would have a business and not a youtube channel = )

A tutorial on how to create a fake device repair video. Take a working device. Sprinkle sand, dirt into the housing. pour some water( optionally mix water with salt and cover some parts to rust quickly). spread the dirt in the housing. Remove the fuses so that the device does not start ( or put the damaged ones). Show that it does not work. Disassemble all components. Wash each component in turn. Paint some part of the housing. Pretend you are repairing something, use a meter that has no capacitance measurement to check electrolytic capacitors.... Put the whole thing together, start it up , show that it works. Most of the videos that are made by people from these countries are fake. I am involved in the restoration of antique and modern audio equipment, and as I watch such videos I can not believe that someone is fooled by such a scam. To repair such devices you need RLC bridges, distortion meter, an oscilloscope, a generator, a load, and many other measuring instruments to get the job done right. After the repair, the amplifier's operating points should be adjusted. This and other videos are ridiculous and so untrue.

Just blow it out with air then take the garden hose too it. Just make sure it is 100% dry before plugging it in. I just got a pair of Peavey SP-2 ti PA speakers I am in the process of rebuilding. One box is missing the 15 inch Black Widow sub and needs a new driver for the horn. But I believe I got one of them dialed in with a fresh cleaning and some new shiny paint in places. Dude slow down on the bomb can paint. 1st three coats need to be light dust coats. Let it dry for 30 min then come in with a medium light few coats. It is not a race to see how much paint you can put on the case. Most spray paint is enamel and that takes a while to dry. When you pound it on it cannot vent off like it needs and with remain soft for a long time. 1st coat you should be able to see metal or sanded paint under it. really up into the third light coat. Once you got the mostly dry light coats you got a nice base to come in with the medium wet coats. A good three of them with dry time of 15-20 min in 65-70 deg. weather (Fahrenheit). Put in hours of work to clean up they unit just to paint it like sh!t. Ya see guys do that with hot rod builds. Put 10's of 1000's of dollars into a rod just to skimp on the paint and ruin it.
Disassembled, washed, painted, poked random contacts with a tester, assembled and everything works. Brilliant! Wonderful!

Полностью согласен с вами ,водой промыл со шланга,потом платы мыльным раствором , и все работает ! И кто то восхищаеться этой колхозной работой😊😊😊
О, материал для Доктора Дью подъехал
Whoa, stuff for Dr DIY arrived.
Sure wish you did a narration over it describing what you’re doing, and what the parts are called.
I do not think he knows what the parts are called.
Melihat barang yg terbengkalai bisa dengan mudah melepas semua mur bautnya tanpa terkunci sedikitpun
Your restoration are awesome so real ....Not like the other restoration just manually doing some mess themself , already knowing the fault just for making the video .... Great work 👍
What he did there could have been achieved with nothing more than pressurised air
@@dimbwemazala8978 yes and don't dump saw dust in it before you start. and use a hoover to suck up any real dust lol fake shit this is
This is my take on it
Fake as shit. e.g. every test on the toroidal transformers where done on the same multimeter settings, but lets pretend it was real, then every winding was burned out according to the test results.
Also when they replaced the diodes in the board they all failed again because the other component's where also getting measured
excellent mr.electricity
your restorations are excellent and true, unlike some who do fake restoration, congratulations!
But it's fake if you have knowledge about repairs u know it's fake. 😂
@@gunnarsandstrom8031 YEAH:D
@@gunnarsandstrom8031 It's fake. A device repaired like this is highly dangerous. If anyone understands it, they're suffering like an animal.
Guess what its FAKE !
Bravissimo 👍
Unfortunate to see that this machine was first intentionally ruined just to make a restoration video. How fake restoration video has become an industry now
Понимаем, что это постановка. Но всё равно интересно.
For real, looks like he went outside and told his kids to play with it in the sand. Still shows he is capable of repairs but if he were an honest man he would have a business and not a youtube channel = )
Correct 😂😂😂.especially to this vlogger.
What people do for likes.
A man’s got to earns living…
There is a guy here in the USA that restores like you...he had a receiver as dirty as yours and took it to the car wash, pressure clean it, then pressure air from a compressor and finally put it in the oven at 120° for 40 minutes...and guess what...it came out brand new...is good content also...cheers.

Beautiful. Great job.
He has no donate button nor PayPal in his description...WHY WOULD HE FAKE IT ???
@@BPantherPink are you kidding me ?
Don't know how monetizing on youtube works ?
The more views, the more money the author of the video gets.
You make money by displaying ads during the video.
He will make more money in a month on such silly videos than you will in a year.
I found it very funny putting the meter across the MosFets without removing, and also the varistor on the power supply ridiculous!!
@@DanHomeAtLast I consider your comment here is the best... Upon putting power on the beginning, knowing that it don't power up, then without any small trouble shooting first is a red flag already. And as your comment, you are correct. That is not the proper way to test it. i consider it as fake testing of a person that does not know what he is doing.
True
Sy punya amplifier tahun 1970an debu dan kotorannya lebih banyak dari itu, masih segel tapi dalamnya penuh dengan kotoran dan debu, tapi saya lebih suka power yang di video sangat bagus
*_Super-impressive, fascinating, satisfying, and just beautiful to watch. Great job!_*

Pra ter ficado ainda melhor, ele poderia ter colocado abraçadeira helleman na fiação, pra dar um melhor acabamento, mas está de parabéns pela restauração !
Pretty risky plugging in something in that condition with massive power potential and huge capacitors without a regulated power supply. 😮
He was fine, he had the Chuck Norris rubber sandals ⚡⚡⚡
Muy buen trabajo estimado amigo , saludos desde Lima Peru .
