Judging from the scars on the left handle of the front panel, the last test machine was not the same machine at all
I also noticed that in the end when he closed the cover transistor wasn't soldered at all...
Also the faceplate is a different color and the knobs lost their black inserts. The resistor being soldered where a zener diode goes takes the cake!

Those amps are beasts. That one might still have worked somewhat in its pre-restored shape, as long as all the blown transistors were pulled out. Post-restore, should work well for years yet. 👍️

They have one stupid problem though, they won't function without that motor-fan being operational.
@@puciohenzap891 Didn't know that, but it makes sense. The underlying amp technology wasn't necessarily the most efficient; there'd be a lot of heat to dissipate. I prefer the protection mode of "attenuate the amp based on heat load," but I guess a safety like that is better than nothing. Must be a headache during a live show though.
Pre restored worked (at least led' are binking). After rusting in chemicals and puliing out transistors its only for trash.

ale koles scieme zrobil dwa rozne wzmacniacze tej samej marki. Stary niby "odrestaurowany" ma na górze 3 pomarańczowe diody, a nowy ma jasnozielone. Skala na dwóch pokrętłach jest dłuższa, a nowa jest krótsza a nad pokretlami napisane Level , ten stary tego nie ma. Co za sciema.

Amazing rebuilds. How in Gods name do you remember all the connections going back! I would be lost and hooking up wrong wires.

Brings back memories too. I still own a MA1201 I bought second hand some 25 years ago. Works like a charm (although I don't use it much anymore).

Я тоже заметил,что что-то не то.Последнюю плату вообще просто положил,не закрепив.Понятно,что лажа.

That's a quick way to solder through hole components! I suppose whatever works, instead of the longer process of soldering through the hole to the trace side. I also noticed that the working amp doesn't appear to match with the restored one.

Во-первых: ты не обновил оловом некоторые закисленные контакты
Во-вторых: после покраски я увидел, как краска обуглилась в некоторых местах корпуса.
Если делаешь работу, то постарайся, пожалуйста, сделать это максимально красиво и качественно.

Restoring?
I was a Crown authorized factory warranty tech for years in music stores in Austin..Repaired many of those and the older ones and the micro techs too..A curve tracer makes troubleshooting a breeze instead of a DVM though..The old DC#))'s did just that..they DC straight into your cab when an output shorts...Peavey CS800 crowbar protect circuit was the answer, we built them on small cards to for in the banana jacks on those..fun stuff.
That crowbar circuit on the CS800 took me for a ride one time when I was just getting into amplifier repair as a teen. Theres a couple concerns in this particular video though. He doesnt show the replacement transistors, only soldering in the old ones and not showing the replacements. And then at the end of the video it looks like a completely different amp with the sticker looking new..
@@THEtechknight Yeah I was watching to see what he used for the replacements, the Crown output transistor is just a rebranded MJ21194 or MJ15024 or something IIRC?
Tengo un crown2400 macrotech tiene el problema de que la encenderlo un canal no enciende el LED rojo y me saca el audio ruidoso ronco y bajito no sabrá cuál sea el problema..?

limpia y observa filtros y diodos y despues resolda todos los puntos de la fuente de poder y sino arranca tu aparato de sonido......Me capo amigo mio@@josuebalam5119

Просто разобрал и собрал назад,без всяких настроек?Не верю.Последнюю плату вообще просто так положил,не закрепив в штатные клипсы.Кстати вижу,что не один я заметил,что в конце показан совсем другой усилитель.
