I will be heading to Lajes soon unaccompanied. I have a daughter who is my dependent but I am not married so I still receive BAH with dependent status stateside. When I go there will I still receive BAH for where my daughter resides in the states in conjunction with OHA and cola and other overseas entitlements? I live a minimalist lifestyle but I just want to make sure my daughter is taken care of while she awaits for her father to come back home to the United States. Thank you so much and good luck with your journey!

Thank you for posting this! My husband received orders overseas and we will PCS in less than a year. We have only lived CONUS and have been trying to figure out overseas pay and entitlements. This video was extremely helpful!

This video is very informative and I appreciate it as a spouse who's getting stationed there in a few months. Thank you for making this video 😊

The total sum would only equal one entitlement. It’s split between both earners.

Do you actually pay 19% VAT for your food? I thought there is a reduced VAT of 7% for most foodstuff.

Appreciate the videos! Question regarding OHA. Is it similar to BAH by where it is paid out 2wice per month? In your example, would the OHA come out to 3k for the month, or dependent on when your rent is due, i.e., 1st or 15th?
