Pretty informative video. Use a marker to indicate the cut line. Use the angle grinder blade to produce a shallow cut along the entire cut line. The repeat the cutting process along the cut line progressively cutting deeper and deeper into the concrete. Let the blade do the work. You will it a lot easy to control the angle grinder this way. And you will end up with a much cleaner edge. Also use a filtered respirator mask because concrete dust can penetrate the disposable masks more easily. PPE is very important. An angle grinder with a diamond cutting blade will quickly cut through gloves. The best protection is a firm hold on the angle grinder which necessitates selecting appropriate gloves. Corded angle grinders are preferred for these types of jobs. But take caution using corded angle grinders in wet areas and only use them connected to an RCD protected electricity supply. Cheers from the Land Down Under.
Thanks Kevin. I got a real tight spot I have to cut out of my top step next to the brick wall that needs repair. My steps came as one big block dropped into place by a concrete co. My idea is to cut a block out, cement over the bricks with the proper stuff, then re-cement my step and the rest to match. Anyone have more tips for this scenerio would be appreciated. Thanks
I don't get it.. Angle Grinders can cut concrete.. but can't cut wood? Why does everyone warn against cutting wood if it can cut concrete? Genuinely asking
I haven't done any research about cutting wood with an angle grinder. You have a good point there but they do have circular saw for the job. Probably has to do something with safety 🍻

Thank very much for commenting! 🍻
I’d recommend using a respirator for this as cutting concrete has some nasty fine dust. You can also wet it down to help.
Ehh a face shield and the dust mask is probably good enough for this.
"let the tool do the work" - I suppose?
Great video, thanks for making it.
Good video. M a.y I suggest a face shield also with the safety glasses.
Can you sandwich 2 of the blades together to get a wider cut?
No, you cannot however you can try to find a thicker blade 🍻
Please do not do that, could really go wrong
Since its a cutting blade shouldn't it be a type 1 guard or is it different for that blade?
It should be a type 1 guard, i.e., coverage on both sides of the cutting blad. Also, try to wear cut-resistant gloves.
Well done mate !
Thank you Mate! 🍻
Cool liked..Kevin. I never did that, but with your explanations, I am learning a lot. thank you! brother.😁 hungs 🇧🇷✌🏻👍🏻
😁😁 good to hear brother and you're welcome Ricardo! 👍🏻✌🏻🤙🏻🇨🇦

I want to do some etches to missed concrete stamping...does wetting help with dust or a full on dust shroud is ideal?
Yes wetting it absolutely reduces the dust. Having it wet constantly is key
You Guys doing a awesome job..
How many volts does it have?
20 volts
Super cutting
Can this be done to cut slabs into 6ft sections
Yes but it will take a very long time. Most people will buy the concrete cutter if they are doing large jobs 🍻

How to cut a piece of concrete unevenly... now go cut a couple inches off a slab... :P
I just needed a quick and dirty way to change the shape of some pavers, and watching this vid did the trick.
