  • This is a quick one today! I've been beyond busy as the gym has been in a mad rush of competition lately. Should return to a regular schedule this spring. In the meantime here's a quick bit of hiking through Dividend Pond in Rocky Hill Connecticut. We explore all the main trails while we look for interesting ruins.

I was there last week. Did everything there with the exception of June's trail and the eastern side of the yellow loop near the sandpit. Amazing place. Quarry Park nearby in Rocky Hill is also nice as are the cliffs on the Metacomet Trail in Wilcox Park (near Penwood) in Bloomfield. Also amazing for views was Stone Mountain on the Iron Trail near Norfolk (it's somewhat hard but possible to get to a high point for a good vista view as it's marked but hard to see where to go sometimes) as well as Haystack Mountain and Mount Tom also close by.
