Reminds me of my Morris mini clutch replacement of the 70s only without the lacerated knuckles and black fingernails, what ever this guy charges he earns every penny, great to see there are still a few mechanics around.
Great video and hats off to you for lifting the gearbox by hand, replacing the clutch on my daughters 08 i10, I had a heart bypass op 18 months and I'm not quite ready to try the same 😂, got a mate coming later today as I'm struggling with the jack and balancing the gearbox on the jack. Thanks for the video 🙂
Hola que tal. por donde se le hecha el aceite a la transmision de esos hyundai i10? vi dos videos suyos pero no pude ver cuando le hecha el aceite solo al principio cunado se lo saca para bajar la transmision, gracias por su respuesta.
excellent but Man ¡ tha gearbox fluid ? i think it drinks 1,6 us qts of 70w gl4 api service idont know where it goes in the filling bolt , mabe the bolt over the cluch cable is the place ?
Amazing job Kevin, one question if you don't mind me asking.. at minute 1:00 you emptied the transmission fluid, where is the fill plug for the hyundai i10, 1.2 petrol? best regards
chris mc I’m replacing the whole clutch kit. If you look on the channel. I’ve uploaded another video of the actual fitting of the clutch. Let me know what your opinion.
Your videos top notch mate! I've got one of these to do in a couple of weeks the lady said the car is juddering do you reckon I could get away without resurfacing the flywheel? Is there anything particularly tricky to watch out for on this? x
I’ve never had to resurface a flywheel before. The reason there’s spring built in the clutch plate is to take up any slight imperfections in the flywheel. Let it do it’s job 🍻🍻🍻
You made a great job of filming this, especially when working on the floor outside someone's house, thanks.

This is a job beyond my skill levels but watched anyway as it's a pleasure to see someone who knows what they are doing...great soundtrack too..!
Good to see you with the jacket off, another great show. Well done.
Kevin i just want to thank you for your video's ! the content you make helps a lot !

And what time to do this?

It’s 75w90 fully synthetic. There is a level plug half way up the gearbox. Fill till it overflows.
Think i lost a fair bit of transmission oil when i took the drive shafts out so will do a fluid change as its close to 100k
Vi uncomentario del min 11:50, entonces ahi se llena y cuantos litros usa?tiene algun nivel?
does all the o10 1.2 have the same clutchkit. plzzzz I need to get one and the salesman asked what size
Karina Ribnick I’m not sure without knowing the registration
Yes, same engine with same clutch and transmission
The i10 Activ is a fucking ace little car
My driveshafts are stuck firm in the gearbox and won’t budge. Any advice?
It will pop out you have to hit it at a 45degree angle with a bit of an impact. It has a C clip holding it in. But it will pop out.
@@WMCS Thanks for the tip! Decided to get a professional to do it...
what a simpel little nice car :D
How do the drive shafts come out of the gear box, do they just knock out?
Knock it out. As seen on the tin.
@@WMCS Excellent thank you kind sir 😆

At 11:50 there are 3 bolts on the left hand side. It’s the centre one of them.
@@WMCS where is the level screw?
Is that just a part of the clutch you are replacing not the whole clutch?
