Proof that Mark could write amazing songs, no matter the genre. This one has so much depth in so many levels: lyrics, emotion, production values, sheer musicianship. Shame it's virtually obscure. A real gem that hits right in the feels.
the best Manilla Road-song ever? probably a tie between this one, Books Of Skelos & The Dragon Star. i could name a dozen more😁. Shelton just writes too many perfect songs.
I know Mark intended this album to be a solo record, not a MR album. I guess it's more melodic than MR albums, but still heavy. I'm still amazed at how this band evolved from a stoner, space rockish band to brutal thrash.
"Evolved" or "devolved"? Either way, I love all their stuff. But, for example, their last two offerings (To Kill a King and The Blessed Curse) were way more prog/melodic than thrash.
@@qayss8977 yeah I think To Kill A King might be my favorite Manilla Road album. There's a bit of thrashy-ness on it. It's a masterpiece. A shame we lost the genius that is The Shark.

this song always hits me right in the feels
I really like this song. It definitely doesn't feel like Manilla Road but it's good in its own way. The raw emotion really gets to me.
one of the best guitar solo in metal music history
touching my heart as fuck
I can't stop hearing this over and over again.
I can't stop listening to it.

Did he ever do anything else other than this album? He's really good!
@@NuclearCha0s You can check out the Wichita, Kansas band Sleepy Truckers.
Your dad is part of my childhood as well. Thank him for me.
Sounds like Glen Hughes!
yes this sounds a little like something off come taste the band
To me he always sounded like Steve Walsh (Kansas/Streets). Great Song!!
Totally
I know now who inspired Iced Earth and Cyclone Temple.
Reminds me of another band... if I just knew which one. Probably something from the 70's…..
Sting? Peter Gabriel probably?
Different song to Metallica, just the same song-title.
το εξωφυλλο μονο μεταφορικα,στην κοινωνικη πραγματικοτητα, ειναι αποδεκτο...
Metallica copied it decades later...
