YAR it's time to sail the high seas of the lands between! This is a fun little challenge posed by a member of the community and I get to actually play the game like a normal human for once, yay! It's time to beat Elden Ring, but as a pirate!

Do a run I like to call the sans run. You’re only allowed to use bone based spells/weapons, comet azur (ghaster blasters), no leveling vigor cuz he has 1 hp, you can only move by dodging or walking(no normal move speed or sprint) but you’re still allowed to traverse the world normally.

I’m not gonna lie to you chief the pots are actually a fantastic consumable weapon LilAggy (another souls tuber) actually beat all of elden ring with JUST pots towards the end he was hitting for upwards I around 1.2k on a ritual lightning pot it was insane.
Can you beat Elden ring by just Bitch-slapping everyone?
Rules:
1 You can only damage enemies using moves with resemble bitch-slap
(Discus of light and triple rings of light are the star of the show, as they look the most like bitch-slap.
Fists and fist-weapons are also ok. HL's earthshaker or other moves that bitchslap the ground are also ok)
2 have fun
3 (optional) dress as pimp-ish as possible
fists and fistweapons are encoureged as counterattacks after parrying/stancebreak.

The automated system instantly removes monetization or gives the ad revenue to whoever copyright struck the video, and the only way to get it restored is for the uploader of the video to manually appeal and hope that an actual person at youtube sees it
Even if monetization is restored, it normally takes so long that 90% of the views that video will get in its lifetime have already happened, meaning that 90% of the ad revenue is gone
This is why content creators hate youtube
If you really need to know, the best pirate set is:
1: Aristocrats Hat or Blue Cloth Cowl (depending on if you want a hat or bandana)
2: Page Garb
3: Nobles Gloves
4: Excentrics Breeches

I've been using the Carian knight armor - not too squishy and the cape/tails makes for a fabulously flashy pirate captain.
You successfully made Gideon an actual boss fight. I think some challenge runners are still trying to figure that out

Spirit of a young pirate who came from overseas, looking for treasure.
Wields a rusted anchor and hurls fire pots. Also uses a jar cannon that it seems only she knows how to use.
Lady Jackie came to the Lands Between in search of endless treasure and bountiful spoils, unlike her fellow Tarnished in search of the elden ring. Utilizing weaponry she is familiar with from spending her days as a pirate, her way of combat is unlike other more conventional means. The other Tarnished criticized her ways and goals, but they were wise enough to keep it to themselves, as they knew not to provoke such a competent warrior. Perhaps too competent, as if someone knew all that was about to come.

I think a quincy build could be fun. Using Loretta's greatbow, a longsword or knights greatsword with the carian blade art of war, glint blade spells, etc.

Well when you respec into a wopping 200hp it's no wonder it took 19 tries...you want something challenging... get a real Job!
If you want a good ragged pirate look use; the bandit mask, prisoners top, warriors/blue cloth set, for the gloves and pants

That quote at the start of the video made me extremely rowdy. I love the whole jar of dirt meme (even more after I discovered that whole series of events was completely unscripted and everyone just went with it) and just hearing “That is a lot of dirt. I’m gonna need a bigger jar.” Made my day. Thank you wolf, for having amazing intros to these challenge runs.

believe it or not, the Jar Cannon is my favorite STEALTH WEAPON because its MASSIVE dmg at long range makes it a perfect SNIPER RIFLE!
also i enjoy using the One-Eyed shield to lob mortars up and across long distances AND its hilarious in PVP because no one expects you to smash them over the head with your shield/mortar!
I love the idea of using the Jar Cannon as an stealth thing, it's like using a bazooka and steal this "optional" lol
I guess all enemies got hooked by the idea of Pirate on the Lands Between. So hooked that they're stranded and couldn't move further. Weird joke aside, I think that Veteran's Prosthesis could be used in pirate cosplay - just say our pirate lost a hand and decided to use a Ligthning-infused prosthesis. Also, this cosplay is not suprisingly good against Dragons and Placidusax.
Suggestion for cosplay-themed run: Caleb from Blood. Either Mohgwyn Sacred Spear with STR/ARC and Blood incantations or Inquisitor's Girandole/Vyke's War Spear for DEX/FTH Madness build
lol nice joke. Veteran's Prosthesis would have been neat to use cosplay wise, lost an arm instead of a leg kinda thing (even if Niall can use it on his leg), but I was just staying true to the comment lol. Stormhawk Deenh ashes would have been perfect too
There is a lot of ship wrecks around the game, I would love a DLC in a far Island with some pirates !

I always wondered how Demi-Human Queen Gilika got in that room. Like...the entrance is pretty small compared to her.

@@DoomWolfOfficial I'm not entirely sure about that either, perhaps they could be related to the last boss somehow. Something else interesting could be light axes only -- the Icerind Hatchet, Forked Hatchet, and Hand Axe are all categorized as light axes and have slightly faster movesets. Erdtree Burial Watchdog cosplay run could also be funny.

I once wanted to do a run with this anchor and a great axe powerstanced (because for some reason you can do that with only this weapon) and it ended up just being an anchor run because of how stupidily powerful and honestly fun it is

For Plasidusaxophone's dashfirelaser attack there is a trick. If you stay near the edge of the arena while he thunderclouds towards you, you lands practically on top of you so you got the entire attack animation in relative safety to bite at his ankles
This is true! I didn't mention it but one (or maybe both?) of those times I died in the fire was me doing exactly this but him being RNG mean and not coming at me, instead he came at me from the side so it didn't put him close enough to me to actually get behind him lol
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of this. Also canonically the rusty anchor would fit into a spongebob or mr crabs run

Even though the exploding bolt fits better, actual cannonball didnt explode so technically reg bolts are "more accurate". All said though, bolts go boom.
I thought about that too, but went with it just for fun + they are like nearly 3 times as expensive so "hard" lol
The rusted anchor was a weapon I used for half of my first playthrough so its nice it is given some love

Pure challenge runs are great, but I really enjoy themed runs, maybe even more so.

Funnily enough I have a pirate run going on right now. I use rusted Anchor and dual scimitars (yes it is a bad build, but who cares?). The best armor set I found was the bandits armor set (no mask) and the raptors black feather chest piece for a fun gimmick that also looks good. In general, you should definetly try a run with that chestplate and umping attacks only, it's really fun!
Now that the video is done: It's nice to see ya do a run that is not the incarnation of dread of once and it is incredibly impressive how you managed to make it fun to watch and listen to still. Great work as always!
Why should Anchor and Scimitars be bad. You don't need anything execept for Vigor, enough Endurance, Strength and Dex. Sounds like normal quality ;)
Your build sounds fun, not bad! Jumping attacks only is how I normally play so using that chestpiece would help a lot ;) lol and thanks, it was fun to do something that more normal for once. I'm sure I'll throw myself back into pain soon enough lol

I do not know what it is specifically about challenge runs but after watching a video once I keep falling asleep to them very often. Be it Doom, Lemon, Baron or Tye, if I'm slightly sleepy I'll just doze off and wake up two videos later.

An answer to your question: Elden Beast is indeed scripted to perform attacks in a certain way.
When he spawns in he does his holy breath, after a certain amount of damage he’ll do his singular ring attack, then when we gets to half health he’ll do elden stars (but can we staggered out of it), and then will do his triple ring attack

The Prisoner set could have been a good option for a pirate outfit, minus the helmet. You could look like the Dread Pirate Roberts, almost.
That was def one of the options I thought about!
Castlevania themed run, next? Only the whip and the estoc, wielding both simultaneously. Saint_Riot did something similar for invasions, but it would be a pretty cool themed run
could be fun, I already did a whip only run so i'm not sure if I would because of crossover, but maybe one day!

Beat Elden ring as a Peltast by using a shield for defence and using a spear only with range attack not melee, for melee attack you can use a sword and thas only if you run out of FP. YOU allowed to wear BULLGOAT HELM only as a helmet and ROTTEN DUELIST GREAVES for legs. You are not allowed to wear any other armor pieces for the rest of the body, instead you can wear clothes. You cant use any incantations or spells or ashes of war or even bombs, you can use talismans normaly.
interesting, i'm pretty sure there is at least one javlin throw ash of war in the game (though I think it has a frost infusion on it), thanks for the suggestion!

Another good pirate set-up would have been a curved sword (falchion or grosmesser I'd say are the best two looks wise) and one of the smaller crossbows in the off hand
Also you do have some options for pirate, prisoner shirt or altered merchants chest, the leather boots, and the juvenile scholars or nobles cap all work pretty well, or just no helm. Shame there aren't any dew rags/bandanas.

In the haligtree you can skip the battle mages by run jumping to the elevator shortcut this tiny skip saved me from dealing with the battlemages.
This is...half true haha. I always do that jump so I can send the elevator up in the event that I die to Loretta, but the mages are already aggroed. If you mean reset at the grace and then go down, yes you can do that and wait a second for them to pass

Bonus point if you run a lot ( so only mandatory fights ?) and swear in a lot of different languages :p

Suggestion: If you haven't tried it yet- rotation run. Pick a throwing pot, dagger, bow, hammer, and spell (or some other weird combo). You have to switch between them per each single hit on an enemy.
could be interesting, especially if theres a mod to just change weapon on hit lol

DS1 greatbow only, I probably will end up doing that one day. I want to do greadbows/bows/crossbows/magic(systems) across all the possible games, so _eventually_ it will happen lol

As a pirate you could have justified the cutlass.
I'm still doing my best with audio balancing, this game doesn't make it easy what with the bosses being 8 times louder than the ambient music lmao

This was a lot of fun to watch, didn't expect you to nerf yourself part way through lol.
If I did a run like this I'd probably use the veterans prosthesis on my left hand cuz it's the closest thing in game to a hook hand and just one hand my other weapons.
I know I'm the guy who tossed the golden land only run idea at you, but, I got another potentially cursed idea if you'll hear me out.
Can you beat elder ring left handed. Weapon in the left hand right hand empty two handing/powerstancing prohibited, could be interesting because of how restrictive lefty's have it since there's:
No heavy attack
No rolling attack
No running attack
No jumping attack
No reposte
No backstabs
And no weapon art (it defaults to kick)
All it gives you is the one-handed light combo.
This challenge might even be more suited for dark souls 1 because more clunky mechanics and your restricted even further to just the first half of the one handed light combo.
Just throwing another idea into the pond, curious to see what you do next.

Due to the fact that my brain never runs out of ideas I just thought of a challenge run beating Elden ring completely normally not really a challenging run cheese or attempt to cheese every boss that's the premise of the Run

You should do a ds1 run but you have to beat every boss by cheesing them
a cheese all bosses run could be fun!
I got a good challenge only use weapons when you dont have the correct reqiurements for (ex if u have all str you have to use a weapon that requires dex :) )
id probably just end up leveling only vigor and endurance and use any weapon lol, thanks for the idea!
