Today I become a part of the 1%, a real rags to riches story in the lands between! I don't know why so many of you suggest the noble's slender sword or estoc, but today I'm beating Elden Ring, but as a wondering noble!

Well I do enjoy runs where I just play in the style of the enemy. It's usually less of a pain sans actually getting the equipment lol

Ah the aristocrat coat, my chest armor of choice. it’s a little too fancy for my taste, but it’s also the only coat in the game with a style i like. i hope they add some new ones in the dlc
it is nice fashion souls! I hope we get plenty of new armor sets in the DLC just for fun
That was a walk in the park run. I now have an appreciation for the estoc now. Never used it before or seen it in action.
yes it was a nice break from some of the harder things I do haha, prior to this I hadn't really used an estoc, so I see why people like them, even though they aren't really my kind of weapon
You got so good in this game, even challenges doesnt seem like challenge anymore.
Honestly, just play nearly 100% through the game 5 times and everything is a breeze.
@@Purriah I play about 8 times, my ds3 reflexes didn't vanish after all so ı still struggle against some bosses.

This isn't really a challenge run. The noble straight sword is arguably the best straight sword in the game due to its range.

Doom, I know you may never do another crossbow run, but now that weapons like these are on the table, id love to see you show off the more advanced crossbows. even as a faux high page if you must, since i hear they use the Pulley.

You're never going to have a tough fight with the Ancestor Spirit because you keep doing a mid-game boss post-game with maxed-out gear. It's like bullying Pinwheel in DS1 after beating the Four Kings, Bed of Chaos, and Seath when he's supposed to be a roadblock to a powerful ability early-game.
While you're not wrong, i've also 100% fought him early game and he's still pretty underwhelming my friend lol
It's the easiest boss in the game

tbf it only drops from like...6 enemies with a low chance so that's not surprising haha
I got it really early on my first play through. Had no idea it was so rare.

Can you beat Elden Ring as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle?
Choices being:
-Leonardo with basically any Katana
-Donatello with really any long weapon, but I’d say any twin blades because I guess they’re kinda close to how you’d use a bo-staff.
-Raphael with…basically any dagger because I can’t think of anything too close to a sai. Maybe Reduvia because it’s red?
-Michelangelo with the Chainlink Flail because it looks kind of like a nunchuck.
Only real rule of the run is no power stancing weapons or no spells or incantations. The extra weapon slot must be reserved for the Great Turtle Shell shield that will be kept on your back as you dual hand your weapon. Yknow for cosplaying purposes and 80’s cartoon era shell puns.

Noble Slender Sword is actually beast. Ive been running a Slendor Sword with Noble Estoc, but im wearing the high page armor and that took longer to farm than the weapons
Haha nice! Yeah I'm just personally not a fan of the estoc, or any thrusting weapons really, but the slender sword is probably great

Doom, I finally have a fun idea you might enjoy: Elden Ring, but you're a mage who can't cast anything. So, Magic Pots, the Glintstone Scraps, the Cuckoo Glintstones, the Gravity Chunks and Fans.... Basically, the things that are basically like casting a spell, but aren't actually a spell, incantation, or ash of war. After all, spells are literally just spells, incantations are just Faith spells, and ashes of war are clearly just weapon spells, right? A no-cast Mage run sounds like a thing you would do.
Interesting Idea, I had something similar written in my notes, but this is distinct enough from that so i'll add it, thanks! haha
I love these voiceovers as you run through the game. I prefer it much more than people splicing in footage of them playing on twitch. So you could do a play though with bloodhounds fang and I’d still watch it as long as you keep up this type of format.

There's a better farming spot for both the slender sword and the estoc in caelid. just south of the "caelid highway south" sight of grace there's a coffin landmark with atleast 6 of them. just dont kill the one with the hat, he'll turn into a troll with a fire sword.
also wandering nobles with hair also use the estoc and I think the chance of getting the estoc from them are the same as the nobles with hats
yeah but I was a bit worried about being in caelid at all while completely unupgraded. I picked where I was also for survivability haha

Nobles is among the best straight sword. I don't really think anything else competes with it; high damage, scaling, longest range and good weight. Dominates at everything, PvP and PvE. Although I couldn't be fucked to farm it, just had someone drop me 2.
I can't speak for PvP, because I never do it, but I can say it was alright in PvE! I mean, thrusting swords just arn't my jam haha

They did the Dragon Greatclaw dirty. You can't change it's Ash of War and the Ash of War it has isn't that good. Having lightning infused is cool but they should have made the Ash of War a red lightning slam with an AOE blast. It would have made a fun weapon for a playthrough.

Example: lordsworns greatsword, godrick soldier armor, Lyndell soldier armor, ECT
I half did that with my torch only video, dressing up as the soldier of godrick haha, but maybe I will do a full blown soldier run, who knows

honestly, I've just beaten ER with the rare estoc, and eh it's a pretty good weapon... it has long range, and has rapier attack. Rapier is always great in souls game. and your own custom ash of war? This weapon is goated
I just don't like thrust weapons I guess lol but it's not bad, gets the job done

this might sound crazy but i have save with seven noble estocs and no slender straights have dropped yet to this day.

That was fun, ooh here's another one, I know that people keep throwing ideas at you but here we go.
Take this rapier idea a little deeper by using the "frozen needle". It's a somber rapier obtained by killing a royal revenant boss in those ruins next to Iji.
The frozen needle has really low base damage and terrible scaling but has two notable upsides, natural low frost build up and a special heavy attack that shoots the needle off as a close range projectile consuming zero FP.
Anyways a sort of "can I beat elden ring with just the frozen needle heavy attack" could be fun, not terribly challenging but still fun (I'm sure nothing will ever top the no walking challenge). Anyways having used the needle alongside a flame infused antspur rapier I can say that it is useable just really weak in the long run.

At this point, after beating the game with so much bs in all those challenges, builds with normal weapon are like buttering a toast for you
